  1. Many Thanks, I did take the bike (on the pickup) to Korat. I wanted a 46 k service, but they they did the 42k service again, which Udon should have done 6 months ago at 40k,

The 46k service is a simple one, but they believed the Udon service was not properly done as spark plugs were not changed, valves weren't checked and the rear wheel split pin was a piece of bent wire...etc. etc..

I was very happy with Korat, even though it was 1000k round trip, the Versys rides and sounds like new again.

Many service parts were corrected or changed - they also had Bike Ramps for the pickup, so I a got a couple.

    Smileygc,

I have my eye on a 650 Versys, new. The 42K and 46k services.... just wondering if you ride the bike hard or is this really typical of what is needed? Just trying to get a handle on what I could do myslef vs having to take it in every 5K. Thanks for any input.

  2. Wish I could remember the name but there is a "resort" behind big C that I looked at once and is very nice. I was going to build rooms in the area but the land prices went way out the roof so there is no way I can do it now.

Best of luck. I can call family and get contact info if you are unable to locate it.

  3. I found Bangkok Hospital very good.

I e-mailed for an appointment through their web site, got a response in 24 hours and was received at the hospital with all information all ready for my card, appointmets, etc. hospital where if either needs anything, they help each other.

This is only my opinion, and usually only post things that I know might help someone else. <snip>

Thanks Jocose. Very helpful, the best reconnaissance I have seen so far. A lot of knee-jerk reactions dismissing the place because it is expensive. Fair enough, but it is important to have a sense of what you are getting (or not getting) for your money. On those occasions where you can get what you need by a quick trip to the "Doc-in-theBox" at the corner clinic for a few hundred baht, so be it. To get antibiotics for a run of the mill infection, I would choose the "Doc-in-theBox" over a hospital any day. But hospitals obviously have their place and it is important to have some basis of comparison so you can make an intelligent choice.
