5 years license renewal - Failed Peripheral Vision Color Test
I did my 2year license at Sukhumvit 62 and my 5 year license in Bangpu. The colour blindness test is put your chin on a mark and state which of the 3 coloured lights you see to the side in your periphery vision. I struggled and quickly flicked my eyes to the side to try to get a better view. The examiners knew on both occasions I was doing this and told me off, in fact in Bangpu I was warned I would fail if I did it again. All I can say is they were very generous to pass me.

พูดภาษาไทยได้มั้ย
@MalcolmB Seems your simple posts in thai are not appreciated by others, not sure why as this is the Thai Language forum, but you're probably best practicing posting in thai script in http://www.thai-language.com/forums. Good luck.

Birds in your garden - 2
I'm in Samut Prakarn, lots of pla salid fish fields right next to us, which brings lots of birds. For such a colourful bird they're not so easy to spot. Skittish, usually in the upper branches of our garden trees, but the current one thinks it's roadrunner.

Birds in your garden - 2
Not sure why the long running thread 'Birds in your garden' was archived recently, but here's a follow on thread. Been seeing a lot of these birds in my garden recently. Have one that runs back and forwards on a path in the garden. Here's one from a few years ago who flew in to the glass pane and sadly didn't recover. 1653395347119.mp4

Thanks for that. In 20 years we've had one just once in our garden.

Birds in your garden
Thanks, and that makes sense as we've often see Tailorbirds over the years but never high up in the mango tree. As you say Small Bird Big mouth...

Premium economy
As a tall lad i disagree with that. In economy I'm so cramped, knees touching the seat in front, arms touching those in the neighbouring seats, it's a very uncomfortable time so I choose Premium Economy for comfort.

Birds in your garden
Can you identify this bird please. Resident in my mango tree. Never ever see it no matter how long I look for it. 20240406_124928.mp4

Writing about the future, from a point further in the future.
With "On January 20, 3015, Mr Spoon sat at the breakfast table" in english, the reader doesn't get confused and assume you mean 2015, so why would a Thai in thai language get confused? My mate Google says use วันที่ 20 มกราคม 3015 คุณสปูนนั่งอยู่ที่โต๊ะอาหารเช้า which looks correct and clear to me.

Recommend colonoscopy dr at Bumrungrad?
Also consider Prof.Dr. Chucheep Sahakitrungruang who is at Bumrungrad, Bangkok Christian and Chulalongkorn. Personal recommendation. His manner and his English are excellent. Bangkok Christian cheaper and excellent.

Does it make (a lot of) sense to learn more Thai after knowing the basics?
Interested to know how you got to such a level. I have reached a plateau at lower intermediate but would like to get to advanced level so any advice would be appreciated.

Colonoscopy: St. Louis, MedPark or Bangkok Hospital?
The family researched it thoroughly, read he was the country's top man, met him and found him also to be a lovely man. For anybody interested now or in the future, believe he works at (in expensive to cheapest order) Bumrung, Bkk Christian and Chulalongkorn, so 3 hospitals for different budgets.

Colonoscopy: St. Louis, MedPark or Bangkok Hospital?
Do not recall the cost at BKK Christian for a family member, but can definitely recommend Prof.Dr. Chucheep Sahakitrungruang who works there and Bumrungrad.

Birds in your garden
No idea if this the right forum for this but I was just wondering what birds people got in their gardens, where are they (town/province), do they feed them and with what? Not an expert on the local birds but I'm in samut prakarn, area has lots of plaa salid fields, have a khlong next to my house with lots of trees and then fishfields. In the garden we get very brave collared dove types which aren't bothered by me, different types of mynah birds which are very jumpy, coucals (saw 2 together for the firts time last week), very noisy koels which I rarely see but are very vocal especially at night. In the fields theres a variety of storks. Had a kingfisher a few months back flying up and down the klong...that got me excited. I always chuck out bread for the birds. The mother in law says they're farlang nok as they don't eat rice she puts out (and no she doesn't mean falang kee nok). Anything unusual visiting your place? What do you feed them with?
