Bret Baier: Trump, not Harris, the ‘holdup’ on Fox News debate.
Inderpland replied to Inderpland's topic in Political Soapbox
Personally, I would prefer Neil Cavuto if forced to pick one from Fox, although Baier isn't the worst choice. Neil Cavuto and Chris Wallace (yes, I know he doesn't work for Fox anymore) would be a pairing I wouldn't mind seeing in a debate between Harris and Trump. PS. IMHO it would be a stretch to refer to Kelly as independent. -

Just love it when the MAGA faithful hit me with the F-word!😁 -

'The plan presented by Trump’s running mate is closer to Russia’s position rather than that of Ukraine and NATO.' https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/9/17/whats-donald-trumps-plan-to-end-russias-war-on-ukraine He wants the Ukrainians to turn into a bunch of surrender monkeys. What a surprise! I'm guessing Trump's good pal in Moscow (you know, the one he gets on so well with and trusts more than his own people) has been on the phone and reminded him about the content of his safe in the Kremlin. The traitor is showing his true face once again.

Well, then you have my condolences. -
To refuse to attend an inauguration is not in the same league as trying to prevent the peaceful transfer of power by bullying the VP, drumming up fake electors and having your cohorts 'fight like hell' during the storming of the Capitol. It's not even the same sport. And what 'luminaries' say and what the losing candidate says (of which you have provided no link so, if true, context is missing) years after the election is irrelevant. Yes, I agree the US system is quite unique, and it totally fails if one/any side does not accept the outcome.

Yes, I agree that Trump hated to be called out on his incessant lying and would much rather have someone like Hannity "moderating", who has his nose firmly and permanently stuck up Trump's 'ample' rear end. If you bothered reading the linked article Mr Baier (not exactly a Dem lover) claims it's Trump who's hiding, not Harris. Rather inconvenient piece of info for you guys, right?- 41 replies

That's a healthy attitude, and you didn't see the dems shouting from the rooftops about cheating when Trump won. That, however, changed when Trump lost in 2020 and he just couldn't dealt with it. He tried overturning the election and got his 'easily swayed' supporters in on it, and for this reason alone I will never forgive him (nor his supporters). To your point though, I would like to rephrase my statement to; 'I would also assume there aren't many presidential elections like the one in the US, where the minority can choose the leader against the majority's wishes.'

I'll leave the worshipping to you guys. In my life I have worshipped no man, woman or deity. Wrt President Biden he was clearly the better choice by default since his opponent was Trump, and you'll find people better suited for the presidency in mental institutions for the criminally insane. When it comes to Harris vs Trump there really is no comparison. She outclasses him by such a ridiculous margin it's not even a competition.
-
Yes, the cult of real life. It's not for everyone because reality can be harsh but at least we don't feel the need to worship a Weird Jesus.
-
Imagine declaring your love for Donald Trump........DONALD TRUMP! Mind-blowing.😆
-
Hate and fearmongering are their bread and butter. It's what holds this coalition of weirdos together. Without it, the cohesion is gone and they would just revert to being those weird family members you don't invite for any of the holidays. For now they have their Weirdo Jesus to worship but hopefully not for much longer.

So if he loses (like 2020) it's due to cheating?

Will Harris' Leadership Unite or Divide the Nation?
Inderpland replied to CharlieH's topic in Political Soapbox
Yes, I can see how trickle-down-economics would totally revive the working/middle class in the US should Trump win and immediately give the rich big tax cuts. Will totally change the landscape just like the last time he did it. Yep......sure. -

Will Harris' Leadership Unite or Divide the Nation?

Yes, the MAGA faithful must be terrified. First Donald lost to President Biden, and now he'll loose to future President Harris. Tired of losing yet? -

The way that Biden was simply not going to win in 2020? -
Will Harris' Leadership Unite or Divide the Nation?
Inderpland replied to CharlieH's topic in Political Soapbox
Yes, never mind the small unelected elite that rules the country and makes illegal whatever party gets the most votes. Never mind the total indemnity enjoyed by the rich and powerful to do anything they want, including murder. I feel sorry for you. -

Well, at least be honest and admit you're not exactly looking for happy news, are you. In fact, based on your posts it seems you've given up on the world in general and the US in particular, so forgive me for not putting much weight on your opinion on that matter. -
Thank you for underlining the fact that a special counsel (who worked in the Trump administration) did not find reason to press charges against President Biden while a special counsel investigating Trump found tons of incriminating evidence of a number of serious crimes committed by the convicted criminal. And the only reason why we're not deep into a trial is one morally corrupt Trump appointed judge already sanctioned once by other Trump appointed judges. When Trump loses the election and the loose cannon gets booted off the case I'm very much looking forward to a trial. My only fervent wish is that he hasn't already run of to one of his pals (Russia or North Korea) when this happens.
