On topic to prove the hypocrisy of the Trump case.
I know you don’t want to hear that.
If Eric is found liable/guilty in court of the accusations so be it. He will be just like Trump, a sexual predator.

Yep, you won’t read about it on MSNBC or CNN.You’re welcome
Quick search for "eric adam's sexual abuse" gives top three results from NYT, CNN and ABC so it appears you are wrong as well as off topic.

$83 million for an "accusation" of sexual abuse and defamation! C'mon man, that abuse by the legal system.
Every time I read nonsense like this it just makes me hope more for him to win and get revenge on the lot of them.
It's gonna be sweet!
$83 million for an "accusation" of sexual abuse and defamation is not really correct though is it. The original award was $5 million. Trump, as usual, didn't have the sense to keep his mouth shut and wait for the appeal of that case to play out and went ahead and used the same defamation again. The $83 million is 100% Trump's fault. And people claim he's smart.

Food reviews are a bit pointless unless you know the person writing the review has the same tastes as you. I don't care how many people review Marmite and say it tastes great, I still think it is disgusting.

Side loaders are more efficient, and better, as far as I know.
Side loaders clean better....as far as I know.
Only problem is....
I have never seen one, either near the university, nor anywhere (around here), which can be coin-operated.
If I had seen one, I would have used it, for sure.
Are you living under a rock? In the last few years loads of laundry places have popped up with nice stainless steel front loaders and dryers. Saw two new ones last week within 100 metres of each other when I went to immigration. One of them in a PTT station. They had washers and dryers up to 28kg capacity. My medium size town has two places that I know of and I don't go looking for them.

a. The AC with Nike shoe is machine ONE.
b. The video is of vibration from machine on "super" cool.
c. Also, this machine ONE has lower frequency vibration when the fan is running at medium RPM.
d. The other video is of machine TWO.
e. Now, both machines are located at same site.
If your problem is the AC in video one with the shoe then an earlier poster may be correct that you have a screw lose. Have you tried tightening the screws on the lid? If they are tight then remove the lid and check for rubber tape around the inside of the lid to stop it vibrating against the main case of the unit.

Ha! Thanks for pointing that headline out. You're right I missed the headline after clicking the "Breaking News" headline below. Went straight to the article body, then to The Thaiger source article, which said zippo. (That's zero 😄). Thanks for the rudimentary and unnecessary math lesson, but you're right...I correct people on that silly error all the time, so many probably learned something.
It's early in the morning and I haven't had a coffee yet but it seems like a terrible math lesson to me. Where did the $550 come from? Seems he confused 600% with $600 half way through the lesson.

Fox got stung for $750 million because they wouldn't retract what they broadcast. Seems at least the liberal media has enough sense and integrity to post retractions when their reporting is incorrect.

Not surprised with the prices of their quoted airfares
Cheapest flight I could get to the UK last July. May have been cheaper ones with lesser known airlines with out of the way routes but beat Qatar, Emirates, BA etc..

The MRIThailand.com website quotes 14,000 for lower abdomen, slightly cheaper and locations around Thailand.
Considering that is basically all they do, I would expect their testing to be of a high standard.
Does that include contrast? As the bill shows, if you require contrast it costs extra. Also I seem to recall Sheryl suggesting that if contrast is required it is best to use a hospital in case you have a bad reaction to the contrast medium.

Also, no one holds a gun to the bank's head. The bank looks at what is provided and balances that with whether they want to agree and or do business with a person.
As others have stated this is going to cause almost all commercial property owners to get the hell out of NY state.
They all do it. THe banks all do it.
I am willing to guarantee that a lot of business is going to leave NY state and that this is gong to go to the supreme court.
This is a Dem gtovernor and DEM AG that wanted to make a name for themselves with a DEM judge.
Hell the judge under valued the properties that he owns
The judge didn't decide the value on any of the properties that Trump owns, he used the values given at the time by the local tax assessors. When Mar A Largo was valued at $26 million for tax assessment Trump sent his lawyers to court to argue it was worth less than that.

Now that sounds like a plan. Thank you.
I would ask the bank about that plan first. Am pretty sure my wife was paid with a cashiers check for a property years ago in Samui. She took it to the bank there and expected to get the money. They told her cashiers checks had to be processed via head office and it would take a few days for the money to show in her account. Things may have changed by now.

Did you read the Dr respond or mines. All one has to do is look at your bank book to see if it is current or not. Reason I make a deposit of a 1000 then get a letter to verified the total which should be last entry reason I xerox all the pages of the passport attach it to the bank letter.
This method Ive never had anyone question he looks at the dates on the copies that I have met all the requirement as you are noting and Im done in 10 minutes.
In fact the guy seems pissed at times that I have things in order cant make me jump through their hoops. This year just done ladt month he ran thrpugh everything twice then took my passport started to xerox all the pages making another set handed to me to sign I ask did I miss something said No, told him I have extra copies if he needed more. No humor I was out 12 minutes.
As I said, it depends on your immigration office. My office require proof of meeting the financial requirements for the whole year. I can't be bothered to update my passbook regularly then get a new one when it is full. My preference is to get a one year statement and update my passbook on the day I do my extension. In and out in 11 minutes.

Why would you need a 12 month statement unless you are using a monthly.
All I do for years is go to Bangkok bank the day before deposit a 1000 baht then hand the teller 100 Baht for a letter that letter just confirms the total amount.
I also xerox all pages of the book, attached to application highlight the areas approved out the door in 10 minutes.
Immigration changed the financial requirements so you have to maintain certain levels in the bank for the whole year. At about the same time my bank would only go back about four weeks when I updated my book so unless I update it every month I end up with a consolidated entry which does not prove I maintained the required balance for the whole period. If your immigration office insists on proving you met the financial requirements for the whole year you either have to regularly update your passbook to avoid consolidated entries or get bank statements to cover the year.

Thank you for the helpful replies. The last time at CW I had used a foreign currency savings account with a balance of over 800K equivalent from another bank, which had a passbook, and it was also updated the day that the extension was applied for, but they still asked for a 12 month statement anyway, which I did have, so it wasn't a problem.
Perhaps with Bangkok Bank accounts they know it could take up to a week to obtain a 12 month statement so they don't ask for it. Don't know.
I just use photocopies of an updated passbook with a transaction on the day of application to cover the few days between the last entry on the one year statement and the day I apply for the extension.

Naaa - everything has its limit. When someone who likes fishing objects to being called a 'Fisherman' and says its 'Fisherperson' - as with the singer Sam Smith, when we are not allowed to call a female 'her' or a male 'him' things have gone too far, way too far. Any man or woman that objects to that can take a running jump, I will not ever refer to them as them/they instead!
When has anything like that ever happened to you? Most of this mainly exists in social media and the outrage factory of right wing media. Yet to meet a single person who has even bothered to mention anything about personal pronouns yet the outrage factories would have you believe it is rampant. Who is Sam Smith?

Used glasses for 25 years. Most I paid on lenses was 10,000 baht. Last one was 4,000 baht. The cheaper ones work just as well. I wouldn't pay for expensive lenses again. All a bit of a con.
What lenses are you paying for? My son gets distance glasses he uses for driving for 400 baht including frames. Why are you paying 4,000? I need progressive photochromic lenses and the cheapest I have found in Thailand are 14,000 baht. You don't seem aware of the vast differences in price depending on a person's requirements.

The frames must be expensive if he paid 20k total. Just reuse them.
What makes you think the frames must be expensive? What type of lenses do his glasses have? Are they photochromic? Do they have anti reflective coating? Anti scratch coating? Are they bi-focal, progressive? I was quoted 22,000 to 28,000 in an optician in Bangkok for the type of lenses I require and the price of frames had not been discussed. You seem to know very little about the subject.

I recently got new glasses from what I assume is the top company as they are located in every town in the country. And, if anything, they are less effective than my previous pair. The staff smile a lot but don't really seem to have an answer, and of course getting anyone in Thailand to admit they made a mistake is impossible.
Does anyone have a suggestion what I could do now? Do I just swallow a 20,000 baht loss and start again somewhere else?
You need to say what type of lenses you have. For the price I assume they are progressive? The fit of the glasses can change how well you can see through progressive lenses. Higher up or lower down your nose changes the part of the lens you are looking through. I have issues when wearing a crash helmet as it tends to raise the glasses slightly. Plenty of videos on YouTube for how to adjust the fit.
For the people who are suggesting you were ripped off on price they are just ignorant on the cost of progressive lens glasses in Thailand. Cheapest I have found were 15,000 baht four years ago. I now get mine from Zenni for 3,000 baht.
