  1. It appears you have an infestation of mango bark boring beetle larvae. Not a lot you can do about it as far as I know. I have occasionally had success cutting into the bark and killing the larvae, they feed just under the bark and chew holes into the trunk. Had a few trees die because of them. Some YouTube videos from India on how to try and deal with them. Normally the tree kills them off before they take a serious hold, beige coloured sap from a spot on the trunk is an indicator that the tree has stopped an attack.

I had the same oven, it was great.

Why make bread but only re-heat pizza? pizza dough freezes great.

I made pizza when I first bought it but can't be bothered getting all the toppings and sauce when I can easily get one delivered. Decent bread ,on the other hand, is hard to come by locally.

In the comments section it says that you need to press and hold the vertical swing button for three seconds till you hear a beep.

Ref the rising price of coffee,  major coffee-producing countries like Brazil and Vietnam have experienced severe weather events, including prolonged droughts, unexpected frosts, and floods. These conditions have significantly reduced coffee harvests. For instance, Brazil's 2024 Arabica crop was severely impacted, leading to a substantial decrease in exports. Similarly, Vietnam faced flooding after a drought, resulting in a nearly 40% drop in December exports. These supply shortages have driven up global coffee prices. The Washington Post+7

Coffee production in Thailand is also decreasing which will lead to importing 80,000 tonnes of coffee this year.

Try keeping up with events. Plus your hatred for Trump and therefore America is all to obvious for everyone to see. First they are criminals by definition "illegal immigrants" second the criminal you mention is now proven to be a very violent gang member. A gang that has been designated terrorist organisation.  I'm not american, I'm not a Trump fan boy or Musk but anyone who loves their country and works for free is OK by me. Wish we had a Trump and Musk in the UK!

They are not criminals until they have been convicted in a court of law. Everyone in the US has the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.

That should help towards ironing out the $45 Billion trade deficit with the US, well done, President Trump.

The article claims the deal was signed during the Singapore Airshow. The last show was in Feb 2024 and the next is in Feb 2026. Seems this deal had nothing to do with Trump's tariffs. The Thais seem to be playing Trump.

Good healthcare, good climate, good food, friendly people. Cost of living. however, not as low as it once was. Purchase price of vehicles outrageously high, and house/land prices on the rise unless well off the beaten track.

Ford Ranger Raptor price in Thailand 1.8 million baht, price in UK 2.5 million baht. Depends which country you are leaving in order to retire here and what vehicle you want to buy.

Depends on the OP's UK bank, of course, but mine (Co-op) has never required me to activate replacement debit and credit cards which they send to my Thai address. Indeed, the 16-digit numbers remain the same, the only things changing are the 3-digit CVC on the back of the card plus, of course, the validity dates.

But even if this were also the case for @cliveshep, I would still strongly advise him to initiate a token payment with his replacement card in due course (perhaps in the form of a Wise transfer?) so as to ensure that any potential problems with using it for his passport renewal payment were identified (and, hopefully, resolved) beforehand.

My bank never used to need the card to be activated until last year, and it can only be activated in a UK ATM for that bank (Lloyds). Didn't find out till after my sister had forwarded it to me. PIN numbers have also changed after being the same for 40 odd years. Had to cancel the card and get another one sent to her. She activated it and I told her to keep hold of the card this time. All the card details are on my bank app so don't really need the physical card with me.

  9. I bought one from Lazada awhile back, came with a zinc strip. Charged via USB. I used it to make a couple of battery packs for a cordless hedge trimmer. Picture below as the seller I got it from no longer exists. I also got the connecting strips from Lazada.
