I just tried to withdraw some money from my account at the Naklua Branch, and they told me that it's not possible before I verify the account at the Jomtien branch, where the account was opened. -

Finance Foreign Nationals Face Account Bans in Bangkok Bank Crackdown
vukovar77 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I have been a BB bank holder for about 14 years, and in January of this year, I was informed that I need to verify my account in Jomtien if I wish to continue working with it. I had to go strictly to a bank in Jomtien where the account was opened. I lost a day verifying the account, although I have a Thai wife, a marriage visa, and a condominium here. -
Tourism Tourism Shock: Thailand's Visitor Numbers See Alarming Plunge

Well, China is not collapsing. It is true, but everything is not "nice" and will become more difficult. Trump's tax policy will hurt China hard. My friend works for a US company based in China and told me recently that business has almost stopped. Chinese are clever people, and they spend less in tough times and tend to work more. -
Tourism Tourism Shock: Thailand's Visitor Numbers See Alarming Plunge

The Thai baht is too strong, immigration rules are annoying and change often, and new tax policies for foreigners, rising prices, very expensive healthcare, and double pricing are some of the reasons as well. Vietnam, Cambodia even China are cheaper now. Thailand is not tourist-friendly like it was before. -

Canadian Tourist's Warning: Assault and Theft in Pattaya Bars
vukovar77 replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
I think that he made a grave mistake. He could read many articles and news about red-light bars. You need to avoid such a place for a more extended stay and avoid being intoxicated. After all, did he waste time with a legal procedure? I have no empathy for him. -
Very costly after 60 -65 years old. At this age, all of us have some pre-existing problems which they do not cover at all. I can easily resolve minor health problems in Thai state hospitals at an acceptable cost. So, for me, health insurance is just a big cost for almost nothing! For bigger problems, I need to fly to the EU!

Yeah. For smaller health issues I can go to Thai government hospitals and pay a fraction I need to pay in private one.If you are over 65 it is almost impossible to have good insurance here . -

From my experience and point of view, 25-30.000 THB per month is quite enough if you live alone and have a place to live. Single accommodation can be easily found for 5-6000 THB per month. If you have a Thai spouse 40.000 per month is OK. In rural areas, the cost of living is 20-25.000 THB per month. Of course, this is without a car and very costly health insurance which is a luxury and not necessary. -
I ordered some things from TEMU, but they never came.

vukovar77 replied to rudi49jr's topic in Insurance in Thailand
Insurance is so expensive in Thailand if you are over 65 that I decided not to do that in LOS.For smaller health problems I go to state hospitals (I can speak thai and my wife is thai) and it is not expensive. For a bigger problems I will go in my country in EU where I am fully covered . -
