  1. As posted before, visa runs are finished. If you are wanting to stay in Thailand for an extended period then get the correct visa for which your purpose of stay correlates to.

Apply for a tourist visa from your home Thailand consulate. The visa run days of back to back are history. Get the correct visa.

And your position in Thai Immigration office is?

Steven is correct, if you have a genuine reason for long stay get the appropriate visa

They are easy to apply for if you qualify.

These changes have been caused because the system has been abused for years.

If all else fails there is always the elite option

  2. Why don't you give them a call if you are worried? If it states send cash then you have sent what they have asked, i'm sure the Embassy will know more than a PO clerk

I have been trying to call them for months to ask them questions but either no one answers or when they do answer I can never get through to visa section. But just after posting this I thought I would try calling them again and I actually managed to talk to someone from the visa section and all is ok.

    Thanks for your reply.

When have you been calling them.

You have to call between 2 & 5 pm.

Yes you should put your details on the postal order. How else are they going to know who sent it

they will be processing more than just your application

  3. According to the Bangkok post today? page 2, you will need to show 6 months worth of bank statements showing a monthly income of 4000 pounds plus you need to supply mounds of other paperwork. Already the new multi visa looks impractical for all intents and purposes.

If anything the amount is on the low side.

£4000 for a 6 month holiday is not a lot of spending power

  4. Someone pointed out I've been misspelling "baht" which is embarrassing since I'm normally such a <deleted> stickler for spelling and grammar. Sincerely hope I did not offend anyone. Unfortunately I can't edit my posts to turn things right.

You did not offend me,But I was wondering

What you were doing with so many baths.

  5. The Scottish breakfast has square sausage (lorne) tattle scones and maybe some haggis or Cool die dumpling

For the usual negative trolls yes far away from home and love to live in the local fayre but sometimes you just miss what you miss.

If anyone can point me in the right direction for tomorrow it would be very much appreciated so much so I'll buy you a

    Scottish fry!

If you want to cook your own

Siam expat foods Pattaya have square sausage

  6. Thai censorship at work. Who roots fro censorship? Those who have something to fear from truth and freedom of expression.

Go and look up a movie called "Hillary the movie" a few years back and remove the word "thai" from your comment....wink.png

Lot of things in Europe banned/censored as well.

Funny enough, people want free speech, but only as long the speech reflects their own opinion.......

No difference between religious, liberals, lefts, rights. No one understands that the free speech is about the things that you don't want to hear, that are insulting to you. It is easy to demand free speech for the things I like....

It get worst if someone claims that their invisible friend is better than the other invisible friend.....

I was not aware that a "a lot of things" are banned or censored in Europe, can you give some examples?

You must live a very sheltered life
