  1. The little boy is correct no booze 2 - 5 pm.

Unless you know somewhere that defies the ban, You seem to have cleared that hurdle already.

It's only Tuesday plenty of time to stock up.

Not much point in wine connection being open when they are only going to refuse you . cheesy.gif

  2. Hello,

This may be a bit old story because this is what happened to a French guy at Ranong

on the last day of his 3rd or 4th 30-day visa-exempt stamp last September, but the

immigration officer charged him 1,900B for a 7-day extension when he got back to

Thailand from Myanmar and told him to leave the country within that week. He ended

up having to go all the way up to Vientiane to apply for a 60-day tourist visa and fly back

    to Bangkok from there.

    All extensions are 1900 baht

  3. I can tell you that very soon, possibly September, a new tourist 6 month or 180 day multi entry visa will be available. It is currently waiting to be formally announced in the government gazette.

It works like this; Holders of this visa can only get this visa in their own countries, not in Thailand, however they must leave after 60 days and return to stay another 60 days leave and reenter for the final 60 days. However they can extend the visa by 30 days after the first 60 days and then leave Thailand (as for a TR60) but can return immediately to complete the balance of the days outstanding although they cannot stay any longer than 60 days without extending the last 30 days.

It was decided that this visa will be very useful for the short term education students as many of the current ed visa holders rarely attend language schools as required. Therefore the short term ed visa currently provided will cease. Students attending international primary and secondary schools will not be affected. they will be able to apply for one year ed extensions. Expect more changes to immigration laws in November.

Not a lot different from a double entry tourist visa.

  4. Not being a drinker and on a rare night out with a friend visiting....120 Baht for a small Heinekin in a skanky 2 up 2 down townhouse maskerading as a bar with a few girls that are only interested in faceache and line...is it any wonder tourism is down...too expensive and moody rude people everywhere..the bombs are the icing on the cake.

You should pick better entertainment venues

I'm on my way now to my local a pint of carlsberg 99 baht

I can assure you that at 9.30 pm it will be standing room only

  5. I wonder what clientele they have dealt with in the past to write this:

"The Atlanta also does not welcome undomesticated people – the sort of people who do not know how to sit on a chair or at table, who do not know how to behave, and whose appearance and manners are so disgraceful as to bring disrepute upon their own countrymen. Their presence puts other people off. These undomesticated people should stay home lest the Thais take one look at them and say, "Mother, father no teach", which is one of the most opprobrious reflections that can be made about a person in the Thai idiom."

Id say people like this one.

I do not need to click the link to know who you are talking about.

Although it seems he is more interested in staying in caves than he is hotels

  6. As a matter of fact I happen to be living in a cave on the surin-cambodia right now and there is a vacant cave just opened up about 1 hour west of me. If you need any help getting established in the forest naked meditation lifestyle PM me and I'll send you an information package

Do you know what the minimum rental is on the cave ?

I would be interested but I want back home again for my Christmas lunch

  7. I can import bacon from Norway. 1st class much cheaper. Very expensive everything on this menu, but if you are hi-class, maybe its ok. I will stay with the excellent Thai chicken and pork. I can buy Norwegian Salmon and Mackerel in Makro. Mackerel 89 thb a kilo. Fresh Salmon 280 bath per kilo.

No body asked you to buy anything and everyone on here knows where to buy local produce.

Rather than spout off about the price, why not congratulate the people running this operation and wish them luck for the future.

I take my hat off to anyone attempting to operate any sort or business venture here especially one which has the odds stacked firmly against it due over taxation of goods that most natives wouldn't give a second glance to.

A fantastic opportunity for people in remoter parts of the nation to indulge in a little bit of the taste of home.

There are a couple of guys in Buriram who have been offering this kind of service successfully for quite a few years now. I believe they deliver to many places around Thailand. Good luck to the OP but it is hardly a new thing
I really do think you are missing the point. This isn't about sausages and bacon from the Buriram Pie man or Yorkies in Pattaya.

Firstly they offer a whole lot more than pies and sausage and secondly the give away is in the name, Passion to me and the OP may disagree, this isn't a day to day food delivery service, this is for people who are passionate about quality food.

Yes passion means People who are passionate about quality food cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif
