  1. The majority of people across the UK recognise that Brexit was a tragedy of utter stupidity. Is the integrity of everyone who acknowledges this to be rejected by the minority forever?
  2. No, I am not convinced that Coutts is aiming for Swampy's business. I think they still prefer to cater for the more well heeled scumbags. Could it actually be that Farage, ever the pliant puppet willing to sell anyone down the river for hard cash, having secured brexit for Russian money, was working to help his GB News boss to short Nat West? Anti-woke billionaire nets millions from NatWest debacle
  3. Is this how brexit is meant to work? "UK food producers have argued that it gives a free pass to continental rivals, while all fresh food exports from the UK to the European Union face checks." BBC News - Post-Brexit import checks on food delayed again https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-66394235
  4. Coutts, the bank of choice for capitalist tax cheats, royalty and other greedy, immoral scumbags is a bastion of virtue signalling lefties? Are you sure?
  5. Not just Nigel, you should extend your congratulations to his boss. Putin was cock a hoop at the value for money he got there.
  6. I had similar thoughts but of another month of irrationally angry men criticising another man because he had the temerity to marry someone he loved.
  7. Manila (as in the real Manila) has some interesting places worth a visit such as Intramuros and China town, but Makati or Bonifacio Global City (BGC) are definitely more pleasant places to stay and to party, although Makati has good and less good places. BGC is definitely more sterile than the more earthy Makati Avenue area. 2 or 3 days in Metro Manila is sufficient I think.
  8. This thread is not about me, I'm afraid but feel free to explain further. I promise I won't revert to brexiteer mode.
  9. To be perfectly honest, I doubt that I could help you understand what I wrote.
  10. You chose examples of two autocratic regimes rather than multiple examples of democratic mandates being effectively exercised. If totalitarianism is the inevitable result of democracy then it's certainly playing the long game in most cases.
  11. As has been mentioned elsewhere here, the crown estates belong to the people. Charles Windsor certainly did nothing to earn them, although he managed to avoid paying inheritance tax on them.
  12. Do you think so little of the British people that we are incapable of implementing democracy? Maybe you are only happy when you are kowtowing, but I think I can handle the responsibly of electing a credible head of state - as they do in most other countries.
  13. An other important thing to bear in mind - any powers given to a president by the people can be taken away again by the people.
  14. Personally, it is not only about the cost but the lack of democracy in the UK. Charles Windsor is not the pinnacle of ability, leadership, masculinity - he has done nothing to earn his spot at the top.
  15. I think that more than a few of his backers have Coutts accounts though - or maybe it's all in Panamanian shell accounts...
  16. Don't get my wrong - I have never voted labour in my life, and not about to start now. In fact, a weakened and chaotic Labour party suits me just fine, but I think that the writing is on the wall for the Tories. They are toast.
  17. 60-70-80 is the sort code for Gov Bnkg Serv Br under Nat West. Wikipedia states: "On 14 February 2020, it was announced that RBS Group was to be renamed NatWest Group, taking the brand under which the majority of its business is delivered." If this is insufficient to convince you then I am not sure what else anyone can do.
  18. Whatever the rights and wrongs of ULEZ, it isn't going to be a significant factor in shaping the voting intentions of the majority of the UK electorate. No amount of islamophobia and Sadiq bashing is going to return the disillusioned middle to the conservatives any time soon.
  19. Go to www.sortcodes.co.uk and you can enter the sort code and get it's details. I think this should allay your concerns.
  20. I don't know about joining up but I got a letter from the fraud dept at RBS because I used my credit card abroad (I was expecting it). I called the number on the letter - that's when the lady answered with 'Nat West'. I said to her that I was expecting to speak to RBS and she said that they were the same.
  21. Whilst I don't agree with you that banks are obligated to deal with obnoxious customers, history has shown that there is no such thing as an ethical or honest bank. Dirty money or clean, they don't care where it came from. So I would have thought that Farage would have been welcomed at any UK bank. I can only assume, therefore, that it was a petty attack on him personally - and I can easily understand such motives. I don't necessarily condone their action but I can't help but feel a bit of schadenfreude.
  22. I have an RBS account and had to call them up last week - the woman who answered announced that I was calling the Nat West. Same same.
  23. A 45% increase in funding would be outrageous at any time, but when we are in the midst of a cost of living crisis, this does nothing but underline the total contempt that Charles Windsor has for the people of the UK. A man as shameless as he is useless.
