......as was mine and still is...... since early October!
Get ready to do it in person or by post!
Fortunately I have better things to do with my time than trying to find a parking place in the Jomtien roadworks.

Try this: https://www.ais.co.th/005/en/
I used to use the DTAC equivalent and not bad. Nowadays I use Skype app from my smartphone to any phone number in the world so long as you have a data connection. Cost is from 1 pence per minute and UK 0800 numbers are free to call. If calling often, the Skype Unlimited World package is about £10 per month and gives you unlimited calls to just about anywhere. Some countries or some mobiles do have a small extra charge (7.5 Pence per minute to call a UK mobile). Free to call UK landlines. Been using it for years and very useful if you need to call banks or family etc. who are not on an app. They quote 18 baht / minute. Sounds high to me

I need to phone my UK bank from Thailand using my mobile phone. My account is with AIS. Any ideas as to the cheapest way to contact them.

Maybe something like this site would help?
Free Online OCR - convert PDF to Word, Images to text, JPEG to Word
It isn't free

Which foreign language?
Do want to convert an actual piece of paper as the source or an image?
I would start by looking for some OCR software to convert the source language into a text file.
You could then use Google Translate; although its accuracy is not always the best.
Received a letter from my French Pension Company and do not fully understand it. I cannot key it all onto Google Translate as it is too long.

Is there any software available that can scan a typed page in a foreign language and translate it to English.

I recently received an email advising me that my Paypal account had temporarily been closed and to contact a link in the email to reopen it. I checked my account using the normal method and found that it was still open.

Do know how I could find out when. I have emailed The French Embassy, Bangkok but not had a reply.

The Austrian Consulate in Pattaya do it for free.
However not sure for U. K. nationals.
Does the French consul still visit them from Bangkok once a month.

Does anyone know if a representative from the French Consul, Bangkok still visits Pattaya once a month.

It seems it may be expensive and fairly complicated to do. Also all the videos I've looked at so far don't look like the Sat Nav I have. What do you think about me downloading a suitable Ap on to my Samsung phone and using that.

Thanks but my car is 7 years old

I have a 7 year old Honda CRV with satnav. Some of the info on it is now out of date (e.g. new Pattaya motorway doesn't appear on it). Is it possible to update it myself or do I need to go to Honda.

Ended up using Siam Electric. Quick service at good price

Are you talking about 3rd party (Class 1/2/3) insurance or the mandatory gov't insurance that you normally pay for when you do your annual inspection ?
Class 2

Can anyone recommend an insurance broker on The Darkside to arrange motorbike insurance

It means that there is some unusual risk factor(s) that would make surgery unusually dangerous. Otherwise if 3 or more vessels were occluded, usual practice would have been a bypass.
It all sounds very odd.
Thanks for info.
I seem to recall that the Dr had said that if my syntax score was >33 I would need a bypass and it was 31. I am now 79 yo so my memory re the whole event is a bit patchy.
2 years after that I had 7 hour surgery for cancer in Bangkok with the excellent Dr you had recommended Professor Chucheep.

Five is possible (though very unusual-- as mentioned, bypass is usually preferred if more than 2 vessels are involved. Perhaos you had contraindications to surgery?).
If the other 2 stents were at a different procedure then likely replaced 2 of these original five, stents do sometimes get occluded.
The further two stents were inserted within a month of the 1st 5 and I was advised of them before any stents were inserted. In fact I was originally told I would need 9 in total but this was altered after the first procedure took place. Not sure what contraindications to surgery means.
anyone had a stent fitted?
