  1. I have been investigating various brands of tumeric with a view to buying some. Most show dosages of 2 tablets 3/4 times a day.

Can that be right and is there a limit on the length of time that you should take them.

Went today to do my 90-day report. Arrived at 2:10pm, there were around 15-20 people in line outside. Took about 10 minutes to get in the door.

Computer was down again today, as opposed to yesterday’s report here. So I needed to get a copy of my 90-day slip and front page of the passport, before getting a queue number. Got a copy from the machine on the left just outside the bathroom, no line and just 3 Baht.
Did overhear the staff mentioning expected computer problems over the next two weeks.

Finally got my queue slip and there were 17 people ahead of me. Got out at 2:45pm, so all in all 35 minutes, not too bad all things considered.

Having done my last six 90 day reports on-line it looks like I will have to go there in person this week. In addition to the copies of my 90 day slip and front page of my passport do I need to take a completed TM47 form.

I am looking to buy a new solar powered watch. Any genuine recommendations as to where I should go in Pattaya

Typical TV responses. I ask where to go to buy a watch and I get a lot of responses relating to what sort of watch I should buy.

You can still teach a person to drive a car if his/her is of age as long as there is a person who has a 5 year Thai DL sitting next to him.

He can drive and is ready for the test and we have a car for him to use to travel to and from his work. That is why  I wrote on my original posting, we are looking for a way for him to get a driving license quickly, not for him to be able to have lessons.

Would it not be better for him to actually PASS A TEST before you try to obtain a car licence for him?

Or he could do as many Thias do, and drive without one.

I understand that the transport office is closed indefinitely for driving tests at the moment.

I read in the Bangkok Post today that they expect to vaccinate the 1st million people next month according to a priority list. As a sick over 70 year old does that mean I am included in the first group or is there a category for ex-pats out here which is the last group to qualify.

it works automatically once you closed the browser, when you start it again it filters out trash, and if you go to settings you have option to block even more filth

Update. Had problems signing into Bangkok Bank account with AdGuard and after discussion with their Head Office I am now using a different browser to sign in online with them.

Once you have installed it a little green shield icon appears up near the top right of your screen.

I think, as far as I can remember you may have to turn it on, but not sure.

Once it's running a little window will appear with the number of ads blocked on a particular page. On this TV page it is currently showing 14 ads blocked ????

If some ads slip through, say like banners, you have the option of highlighting those blocks of ads and adding the "don't show" list.

I don't have ANY ads showing on my TV pages.

As I said this AdGuard is a free extension from the Microsoft shop so no worries about virus or such.

If you don't like it just go to  "Extensions" by clicking the three dots on the top right of Edge and switch it off or delete it.

    So far so good. Thanks.

  11. I have a friend who is currently in England and is waiting until current restrictions allow him to return to Thailand. This could possibly take months.

He has a car out here that he wishes to sell and has found a buyer. He has the book for the car with him in the UK.

How can he overcome the problem of getting the name in the book officially transferred to the the new owner.

As there are inspection shops all over the place, maybe you could narrow down the area to find one close to you ?

I use one on the railway bypass between soi Khao Talo and Soi Khao Noi (a couple hundred meters past the Khao Noi intersection as you are headed towards Khao Talo).

I've also got one bookmarked on "Thung Klom-Tan Man 9" (the soi that runs straight from Nern Plerb Wan to Toongklom-Talman road. It is across from a couple of bars (99 Bar, Ting Tong Bar and Smokey Bar - at least that's what they used to be called when Google took the image).

There are other places of course. One on Siam Country Club. Another on "highway" 3240 not far from SCC.

I live on Siam Country Club Rd towards the lake and although I have seen several garages that offer this service, I am looking for a recommendation from fellow TV members who have experienced their level of expertise and are also able to have reviewed their charges..

  13. It is now 2 months since I had a severe attack of heat stroke which required an emergency hospital visit, a night in ICU with scans etc. I received no guidance from the Dr. there on how to proceed when I got home.

Although I am recovering slowly, I now seem to feel very weak whenever I am exposed to medium heat 30 degrees +. I drink a lot of water each day and spend a lot of time in air conditioned rooms, but outside, even in the shade I seem to get affected with fatigue. I have read it can take 2 - 12 months to fully recover. Any useful thoughts from knowledgeable people would be appreciated.
