I have just read the following post on another forum and wondered if anyone here has any informed answers.
With The Ladies World Cup Final taking place Sunday, I have a few technical questions. At what speed will a well struck shot from the edge of the area tomorrow cross the goal line and how far will a goal kick not affected by the wind, travel through the air. How do these figures compare with those achieved by Geoff Hurst and Gordon Banks in England’s last appearance in a World Cup final.
In golf since the 1960’s, distances and ball speed achieved have increased dramatically due to technical advances in golf balls, golf clubs and training techniques. Has there been similar advances in soccer with footballs, boots and coaching methods.

I regularly do my 90 day online but my UK passport is coming up for renewal shortly.
Will I have to go along to Jomtien Imm for the 1st time after I have the new one or do I just re-register with the new passport number on-line?

That's a LONGGGG wait! Never heard of an online submission taking that long at BKK CW... Wonder if something is awry there at present.
I submitted mine online the other day at the very beginning of my 15 days ahead of deadline eligibility period.... Got the acceptance (not approval) notification by email the next day. Will report back here when / if my approval notification arrives.
Last time in March, my online submission took 3 business days from submission to approval.
Just done mine. I have my info at Jomtien Imm

You can renew it whenever you want.
Yes an agent is the easiest and cheapest option unfortunately.
What should I expect to pay using an agent in Pattaya?

My UK passport expires end of June 2024. I am resident in Thailand with no trips planned before then. With all the unexpected delays that have occurred over the last few years I wish to renew it via an agent with plenty of time to spare. Is there a maximum period before its expiry that I can do this. I was planning to go to an agent about 9 months before its expiry. Would this be allowed.

My Thai wife is visiting Australia in September for 2 weeks. She has a Thai passport that expires February 2024. Will she need to renew it before she goes or can she wait until the end of this year?

Had mine done at Bangkok Bank for 100 baht.

yes, I know Quick Assist works within Windows 10 and 11. I never tried it with any other version.
Seems to be working OK for me. Thanks!!

When TeamViewer is installed there is the option that it always runs in the background or is only used on demand.
If someone doesn't need it all the time then I would only install it for usage on demand.
If you want to use it, open it. Otherwise it's not active and no risk.
For Windows PCs I use the integrated Quick Assist. It works fine, is easy to use, and is part of Windows.
If I leave it set like this does it mean that a scammer couldn't access it until I activate it.
If I switch to Quick Assist am I able to access a laptop using a different version of Windows to me?

Teamviewer employees, past and present, could access it.
How and if so why would anyone use it if there is no security.

I have Teamviewer on my laptop. Am I correct in thinking that no one can access it unless I give them my ID and password?

Thanks for most of the comments. After reading them I have uninstalled the RAV software.

You're not the only one. Worst hot season I have ever experienced. Car air con barely coping when driving and worse if stationary.
Our home is built of Q Con blocks and there is 6 inches of insulation on top of the ceiling . Even so, the air con in the bedroom is struggling a bit in the daytime and is on about 16 hours a day. Only off when we go out or early morning.
Temperature is 40 in the shade on the balcony. 32.5 in the living room ( no air con ) and I'm keeping the bedroom at 27.
Everywhere I go , all the Thais I deal with ask me. " how do you like the weather ? " They are suffering just as much.
Not a soi dog to be seen....all in hiding.
I wish Prayuth would do a rain dance or something.
I was having trouble with car aircon. I then switched aircon setting from circulate around car to only feed front and it has greatly improved. Only works when you don't have any passengers sitting in the back seats of the car.

I have suddenly started getting severe pain in my lower back and am thinking of visiting the Motion Wellness Clinic in Pattaya. I am over 80 and wonder if any the older members of the forum has visited them and think their approach suitable for the more elderly.
