    Worse than pedantic children.

Regardless of what, or who, was to blame for the original altercation, is he not guilty of assault at the very least......driving a car at someone could be classed as assault with a deadly weapon, could it not ?

Yes, you can kill with a motor vehicle just as easy as it is with a gun or knife. :post-4641-1156693976:

So who is looking after the public, the job he is paid to do, while he is being a part-time mechanic? He would have done better to arrange a rota of local repair shops available to be called out at night, like they do in every other country. Just as so many police officers do in this country, he is running a business instead of doing his job.

    Oh ye of little faith......................

" the Lawyers Council of Thailand stripped Pisit from its list of qualified practitioners on ground that he was declared insolvent."

In most civilised countries you would lose your right to practice law just for committing a crime -never mind if you are declared insolvent or not.

People like this who attribute more importance to money than their morals and conscience are obviously on a different wavelength to most decent people. But I just would be curious to know what they intended to do with these ill gotten gains  just to get an insight into how delusional these kinds of people are.

It has probably been spent, hidden away, or conveniently 'transferred'! What the Lawyers Council Of Thailand could do is to recompense the girl and her mother the Bt4m that their colleague has stolen, as a show of good faith.

you and i can both be pretty sure about the answer to THAT question,

to which me & my Thai neighbors already know said answer-

    of course not :coffee1:

Dare I ask that T.V. via its 'parent' The Nation (or the other unnamed English paper B.P.)would follow up? Or will they just let time diminish the heinous nature of this crime? :whistling:

    The "challenge" has been announced!

among my Thai neighbors and myself, this has (obviously, since we live in Krabi province) been THE topic

    of conversation for days, and NONE of us believe the most recent announcement;

ALL of us are in agreement that something does not add up, that somebody very influential and powerful

is being protected- THAT is the "skinny on the street" among Thai people IN Krabi province...

I guess we should not be surprised. But will we ever know the truth? :whistling:

Thanks for the explanation, got what you meant now.

Sorry to see you don't get the principle of not admitting while legal proceedings are going on. Also applicable in Thailand.

They would be stupid to admit guild.

"Sorry to see you don't get the principle of not admitting while legal proceedings are going on. Also applicable in Thailand."  Spoken like a lawyer or one who benefits from litigation!

Yes, I do get it. But this country does not have a first world legal system as many of us in modern western nations are used to.

"They would be stupid to admit guild."(sic) The operator/s (like many others) seem to have no concept of safety first or a duty of care to their customers. So why defend the indefensible? Take your medicine and learn from it.

    Have a nice day.

So history is incorrect then,  The US did not get a good flogging after all.  Are your US history books specifically written for Americans only? or  is complete denial of historical facts part of US culture ?

Your assertion that the US was fighting for an ideology is complete and utter tripe.  They never have fought for anything other than how they can get financial gain. WW1 entered 2 years late after lending money and goods  to the British Empire  at an interest rate for the target of bringing billions of loan dollars in.  WW2 same.  Irag/Kuwait initiated purely to ensure US companies could rake in billions of dollars for the O & G re-building. The US are the most financial and morally corrupt nation on earth so don't give me crap about fighting for an ideology unless you mean an ideology of financial extortion.

Hmmm...........best you shift to Russia or China or perhaps North Korea with your attitude. If you don't want what the 'western nations' have given you (rightly or wrongly) them move on out! They have given you the right to whinge! My suggested countries probably won't allow you to do that.Become part of your solution not the problem.

Why would I have to admit anything, I got no beef at all in this. And admit'??

And are they stupid, looks to me more your western superiority complex speaking.

Do you have some sort of guilt complex? Are you trying to defend the indefensible (according to your western application of laws - which no one gives a s hit about in the Kingdom)?

I said THEY are stupid - why not admit it! (They should admit it!). Get the 'drift' now?
