I could understand the cops being upset by this "send up" if they were a respected part of Government BUT they're not!

This reeks of the last place I worked at before I moved to Thailand.
If a serious safety incident happened, they weren't so quick to address the actual issue, rather they put more effort into trying to stop people talking about it.
It's an interesting time that we live in, privacy is becoming scarce, and people are only one click of a button away from being broadcast to thousands of people. It seems like Thailand 4.0 is struggling to figure out how to handle widespread accessibility to free information. What is Thailand 4.0?
I must have missed Thailand 1.0 ?

Mmmmmmmm................ I understand that among their ranks there is this guy 'Big Joke'? ?
Perhaps he has a sense of humour lacking in some others?

That' s the ting about science: it is willing to take into account, that things that are well accepted consensus today, might be challenged tomorrow!
And it is being challenged! Seemingly, you don't like it.

I was an optimist the first 3 days after my daughter get raped.... then I was a BIG pessimist in 6 months... and YES, last weeks I’m a optimist again! And I hope it’s worth it ? Remember: You never win if you never try hard enough✌?
I would never ever get peace in my heart again if I didn’t fight for my girl. Maybe hard for you to understand but for me this is worth it and I hope I can publish happy news about some of the Thai-authorities later??
I understand what you are saying about what happened to your daughter (sorry to hear). But when you are up against a long entrenched "feudal system", it is not going to change overnight, sadly.
A beautiful country with many wonderful people, controlled for 100s of years by those who practice "entitlement".
Thailand is not the only country.

You really are an optimist!

Best hope for Thailand it looks like but the d********ship is not allowing them much room for campaigning etc.
Of course. It is hard to let go of control. But "they" will make sure they retain control from the background!

Deflection and what about'isms!
Good day, sir!
The "scientists" have only claimed "most likely man made". NOT is man made.
Climate change has been happening since Earth became Earth. Mankind maybe contributing, but I would doubt causing.
Did mankind cause this?

I'll bet they didn't build those islands with sand.
Too smart for that.
Wonder how China is reclaiming and rebuilding bigger islands in the South China Sea?

I think it's a question of not receiving if you don't suffer from hangovers. As I understand it, liver disease particularly cirrhosis caused by excessive alcohol (the liver being an amazingly resilient organ) is often symptomless until it's often too late to deal with - other than with drastic options.Having said tha,t there's a genetic aspect involved which makes some people less susceptible to hangovers than others. There may also I suppose be a genetic factor also involved in how the liver deals with heavy drinking - just speculation on my part.I guess the sensible approach to those of us worried about our drinking is to have regular check ups. Some when seeking medical advice will be prompted by symptoms and some of us won't.
I understand what you're saying. I tend to take a pro-active approach to my health (regular fasting full blood tests) rather than being re-active (after something goes wrong). I just feel that once into your 70's (or earlier for some) regular health check ups should be a top priority. But, that's just my way - guess it is not for everyone.
Some may say "Grow old gracefully" - I choose to fight it all the way.

The visit is a big joke.
The whole scenario is turning into a joke/circus. Keystone Cops indeed. With a view that the rest of the world understands and agrees with their corrupt ways. ?
The best that this girl can do is NOT return to Thailand - she will surely be locked up. Raped or not "fair trials" are not a redeeming feature of feudal societies.

This is like religion - we only believe in what suits us? Despite "blinkered dyed in the wool" believers and contrarians on either side.

Who are the mad ones? Those receiving money to repeat this annual nonsense or the tax payers who fund these plans?

There will be no flooding - I read that, from a senior Thai politician (cannot remember the name) a short while back!
So, do not worry. ?

Thanks for these responses. Reading the articles inevitably raises anxiety which is probably a good thing in my case.
I'm not talking any regular medication. I eat a healthy diet and get some exercise but I'll curtail my alcohol consumption and get a test done.
I've spent just over 4 months in Khon Kaen and I'm heading home to UK in a week's time so I'll arrange to get tested then.
I need to learn to go out and be sociable with non-alcoholic drinks. I think that will get easier once I start to realise I don't have to write days off for hangover recovery.

No you don't understand. Go check yourself and prove me wrong. I've no intention of enlightening you. Wallow in your ignorance. This is a serious matter and I wait you to prove me wrong. You won't because I'm 100% correct.
"Laws" in Thailand are often selectively applied. And any reasonable or knowledgeable person who knows anything about the country knows that.
So, whilst you maybe correct (or not) about the female officer, who says it is going to happen? Sadly for too many, the RTP cannot or will not enforce road rules, as just one example!

well-regulated business.
??? By whose hygiene standards?
"well regulated" (in Thailand) would, sadly, be an oxymoron to me.
Whatever the "claims" are from either side, the woman from Perth was not exactly practicing good hygiene by placing her feet in such a spa in the first instance. Contributory negligence by both parties? ?
