There are no Immigrations agents on Samui.

Basically you can't change non immigrant visa class within Thailand .

You can only change reason for extension of stay.

If you're planning to seek extension of stay based on marriage or family you can do it yourself.

If you want to change to retirement extension based on non-O instead of non-OA to avoid the insurance requirement, you can't do it.

    Cheers.

If you have to ask these questions, I strongly recommend you do not DIY! Find and/or pay someone at least  knowledgeable and experienced, and preferably qualified.

Agreed. Nobody has brought up the elephant in the room.

What ampacity is the current box, what ampacity are the conductors serving the box. If you overload the ratings of the conductors you could end up burning the entire affair to the ground.

  3. Hi folks, live on Samui and bored, bored, bored but a buddy found a great riding road east to west so was wondering if there is even anything open in Khaolak these days!
Dont need much, cheap hotel, restaurant that wont kill me and somewhere for a drink or twelve.

Any, and I mean any, info would be hugely appreciated.

    Thanks and stay safe all.

  4. As a bike rider I find this somewhat disconcerting. Why make bikes 10kph slower than the massive chunks of metal which surround them? Much safer if the big bikes can move at the flow of traffic and not someone assuming everyone is doing ‘110kph”.

Do these dingbats actually use their brains....oh....hang on.....sorry about that folks. My bad.

  5. Hey troops, now that the restrictions have been lifted a mate and I are contemplating a bike trip to Phuket. Any input on where to stay would be great. We know Patong is toast but we are looking for decent (burgers and ribs) but not extravagant dining, moderate nightlife (just a couple of decent fun bars) and hopefully a Lucky13 as their passionfruit mojitos are the stuff of legend.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

  6. Ok...Patong is out and going to give Kamala a try. Having never been there am a little in the dark for accommodations.

Looking for a place close to restaurants and bars with secure parking for the motorbikes. Looking around 700-800 per night.

Any and all recommendations will be truly appreciated.

    Cheers!

there's a few places on the beach road that have sea view rooms,  around 1,000 baht/night

some even have pools. There also places on the main road for around 600.

Kamala downtown area is easily walk-able and close to the bars, which are mainly on the main road

Just show up and look around, wont take ya but 15 minutes to get what ya want

The only resorts i see doing good business are the novotel and intercontinental on the beach with the hi so thai's

Thanks, any specifics would be great. No views needed so yes...cheap, cheap, cheap!

  8. Hi folks, Samui resident here heading over for a bike trip next month and need to pick locals taste buds.

Last trip over there were still a couple of my favorites open but Naughty Nuris has moved and Lucky13 is closed so was wondering if anyone has any recommendations around Patong.

    Thanks in advance troops.

  9. One thing to remember is to always retain a copy of the bill of sale. If you sell a vehicle and the new owner never transfers the blue/green book then all fees and tickets will automatically revert to you. If you have a signed bill of sale then you are off the hook.

  10. Just my two satang worth here but try this.
Tell her you want to buy her something special and offer to take her to a high end makeup place and let her try products and decide on what she wants.
It will show her you care about her and her opinion.
    Might be worth a go.
