Thanks Shurup.
No height issues with the Er6n. Am 5'10 so shouldn't be an issue with the Versys.
Found my hands going to sleep within 5 minutes on the Er due to the forward riding position.

Looking for a new bike and like the Versys but have only sat an Er6n.....which I didn't like. The Versys seems better suited to distance riding so if there is anyone on Samui that owns a Versys and would let me just sit the bike, not take it out, just to make sure the position suits me before I head to Bangkok to buy one.
Cheers.

3 parts white vinegar
1 part malt vinegar
Black pepper corns
Dried mustard seeds
Dried coriander seeds
Indian shallots from Makro
Boil vinegar with all spices, add onions at the end and let simmer. Boil and sterilize canning jars. Fill jars with onions and top up with vinegar solution making sure some spices make it into each jar.
Let sit for as long as you can. Mine turned brown in about a week.
Any questions please feel free to ask.
Happy pickling!

Couldn't wait....popped open the jar of onions and tried one. Gotta say, fairly pleased with the results. Nice and brown, soft yet crisp and snappy.
Must...have ...more...patience with the eggs!

Cheers for the link, gonna see how my first two experiments turn out first!
One thing though, my Thai wife has already wrinkled her nose at the mere mention of pickled anything! More for me I guess! I have not told her yet about the inevitable consequences of consuming pickled eggs......oh well....

Yep, had few beer peeling them little buggers!
Jars are 45 baht with one piece lids, would guess them a little over one litre per.
Mix of white and malt vinegar, onion, peppercorns and mustard seed. About three weeks then will give them a try.

Ok...mission accomplished. Did two large jars and now will wait to see what happens. Can't really see them being bad, just a matter of how good I think.
3 to 4 weeks resting time then game on.
Will report on results.

Yeah, what I thought. It is so hard to get the pastry right but Badger has nailed it.

Haven't flown with Bangkok Airways now in over two years. Got tired of the crap.
Drive to Surat and fly Nok Air return for 2,000-2,500. Flies in to Don Meuang so closer to town.

Near Chaweng Noi.
Coming from Lamai towards Chaweng on the ring road after the viewpoint there is a Chinese graveyard on the left side of the road, after that about 100 meters there is a very small Castrol sign, turn left there and about 250meters up the road is an excellent garage, they have done exemplary work on both my truck and my brothers. Fair price and a good bunch of folks.

Front alignment is a mess on my Toyota Tiger. Does anyone know of an alignment shop on Samui? The shop in Chaweng Noi by the Chinese cemetery has a machine but " computer no work!"
Thanks.

Tesco Lotus always has Carr brand battery chargers in the automotive/motorbike section. About 900-1000 baht.
