Yeah, that sounds like the route I will be taking Jimmy, tried to help out the new shop with my business but got jerked around.
We can always take the Aussies at real hockey!

Alberta last port of call now living South Island in Laem Set. Where are you?
-
Yep, love the country, hate the cold and the taxes.
-
Nope, mine is black, like my heart.
Only seen a couple of Versys on the island and my wife will never, ever want on the back of that thing, scares the life out of her.

Sadly, just returned from a less than satisfying visit to our new Kawasaki shop here on Samui.
I have a Versys and wanted to replace the battery so dropped by last Saturday and they said "no problem, will order from Surat, be here on Tuesday". Great thinks I as they said they would call when it arrived.
Tuesday...no call.
Wednesday...no call.
Thursday...no call.
Went back to the shop and was greeted by blank stares but fortunately I had a receipt for my 1000thb deposit for ordering. Great confusion and it turns out they just never ordered it. Got my deposit back and told them how unimpressed I was, really don't think they cared.
Will pop back tomorrow and find out when the owner from Surat will be there next and I will have a word with him about the service.
Crap way to start a new business.

Had it best explained by a mechanic friend in Canada.....diesel is an oil and gas is a solvent. Which would you rather have running through your engine?
500,000 km should be an expected minimum mileage from an engine with regular oil changes and servicing

Kinda want to see if I can find a lithium ion sulphide battery here. Hear a lot of good things about them.

Does anyone know if there is a a Shorai dealer or shop in Thailand?
I like the whole concept of their lithium ion battery.
Thanks.

Hi all, my Kawasaki Versys might need a new battery soon, anyone know a shop that carries a decent selection of bike batteries?
Cheers.

Thanks to all who replied.
Ended up at a little place right at the bottom of the hill heading north just past Makro. 2,200 all in for removal of old film and replacement of both the inner and outer films. Really nice folks and no shoddy half-assed work.

Raja is scary, old boats and Mickey Mouse service. Seatran is way better, more timely and newer boats, both same price.

Ok, story time.
Was driving the car home with the wife the other night, dead sober and awake. All of a sudden there was a bike in front of me! Almost crapped my pants but he had just got lost in the "light traffic" of all the vehicle lights in front of me. Just did not see him, he blended in to the ambient light noise.
Missed him, thank Buddha but got me thinking so I now have 4 sets of green ( I ride a Kawasaki) led lights on the back frame of my bike. I also wanted a color that would make people look twice and hopefully not grease me.
Only see them at night so not too geekish.

Well, after trying to clean the crap off the inside of my windscreen it is now officially buggered!
Anyone out there know of a place that will remove my old factory tinting film and replace it?
Cheers.

Congrats on the bike, I assume you got it from the new Kawasaki dealer here.
Best bet for rides is to just put your willingness to travel out there and see if anyone is doing a trip.
-
Wouldn't be too tough, get the first Russian....Chinese...Korean...etc to write it down and done.
-
Best of luck and happy, safe riding.

It would help if they put the number machine outside where applicants can take a number and wait for it to be called.
One for renewals...one for extensions......
Sorry, is this making too much sense?

Sorry, no real sympathy for the Birdman.

Bought a used Versys about 6 months ago and the first thing I did was take it in to the local Kawasaki factory shop for a 100% check and fluid change? I always like to know my baseline and work all of my routine maintenance from there.
Where are you located? Might be a good plan to start a history with the local Kawi shop anyways.
Enjoy the bike...I love mine!

Wow, actually nice to hear a good comment about Immigration. Was it the young lady who helps out the desk girl? Always found her to be quite polite.

If you are going from Lamai towards Nathon it is about four kilometers from the big turn at Hua Thanon. There is a big furniture shop called Winner on the left and it is just past that. Can't miss the big Kawasaki Green sign!
