  4. Is your SS getting sent direct to Thailand or are you transferring it yourselft from the US. You will only get one in Thailand if you have a registered address in Thailand. Since you just starting it this year I would think you would not get one untll next year.

There are two ways SS works, Direct Deposit through Bangkok Bank through NY this is called an ACH transfer no card and must withdraw in person, this is what I have had for many years only option when I started. The other way is through an International Direct Deposit can be done at almost all Thai banks. can have a card with this type, this is what my wife has. Someone posted a link for the International Direct Deposit which I believe is the way you want to go. Not sure if your Bangkok Bank will accept this method, ask them. If not just go to any Thai Bank they will be more than happy to get your money.

  20. that is a specimen note which is printed in a limited number, not for circulation but for collectors, in the old days, a lot of the Thai banknotes were printed in the UK by Thomas De Larue, when they made specimen notes it was for the bank of Thailands approval all were very limited prints, very desirable and difficult to obtain, I had several Rama 9 specimens from the late 40's to early 50's
