hello,
just wanted to ask if anyone has an update from the last few months regarding the situation with volunteer visas? if you leave Thailand and return after the volunteer visa has expired - will you be detained in the airport for questioning? or will you be allowed in with a 'visa on arrival'? would it be better to apply for a proper Thai tourist visa before entering Thailand at a Thai Embassy of my country?
Thank you!

If no re-entry visa when leaving Thailand, you already lost your visa, cancelled automatically. So you have no visa at the moment.
Thank you!

You have clear answers.
Also note that you can obtain a 30 day extension to your visa exempt entry. 1900baht.
Thank you very much!

Then your visa (actually it's an extension) is now void anyway, you can't use it anymore, thus will get 30 day visa exempt upon arrival if you don't apply for any other visa beforehand.
Great. Thank you very much for helping.

Hello,
I have an Israeli passport, I left Thailand 2 weeks ago and planning to return in 5-6 weeks before my 1 year Thai volunteer visa will expire (12th of September 2022) - my question is, if I will enter Thailand on 30th of August will they stamp my passport under the volunteer visa time which remains (13-14 days till September 12th) and then I will have to leave the country? or since I was away for 1.5 months they will ignore the volunteer visa and stamp me 30 days visa on arrival?
Would it be better to postpone my arrival to Thailand to after 12th of September?
Thank you.

Hello,
I live in koh phangan and I just received a new Wise card. In order to activate it I need to shop something with chip and pin.
I tried the 7 eleven but It didn't work there. Any idea which shops would have it? If not in koh phangan, maybe in koh samui?
Thank you.

If you had extended the 90 days you would have a extension stamp in your passport.
Check with your school about applying for a extension.
okay, thank you, I will check with the school and if needed also go to get an advise from a Lawyer.

Are you still on the 90 day permit to stay you got from the non-ed visa you were issued? Or have you extended the 90 day permit to stay based upon studying English at immigration.
I am not sure, How do I check that? I could go to the school and ask them.

I assume you are on extension of stay (it is not a visa) based upon attending a school since you non-ed visa probably expired long ago.
You cannot apply for any visa now without leaving the country.
You may be able to apply for another extension of stay of some kind. Perhaps you could go to a higher level of study and apply for another extension based upon that.
thank you. I'm right now on Ed Visa and before I had a single entry Tourist Visa which expired last year, I extended it once or twice in the immigration and after I applied for ED visa for studying English and it will expire mid august next month. So as you say some extension might be possible without leaving the country? I hear many people get Covid extensions for 60 days. I will also inquire regarding the higher level of study option.

Is it possible to continue after with Covid/Tourist Visa? any other Visas (Ed, Volunteer etc.) which would be recommended?
Thanks.

Thank you ????

Hello,
Sorry if this has been asked before. A friend of mine has a tourist visa and she's asking if thai immigration has any intention to allow extension beyond 29th of May. Anyone knows? Thanks.

Thank you. I think I'll just go and buy it at AIS shop as they are usually reliable. I'll go for the SE as you recommend.

Thank you! very useful information. Looks like it should be fine from looking at this list so I might order a phone from lazada soon.

Hi,
I'm interested in buying an iphone 8 or se20 and it looks like both offered by the apple shop on lazada are Thai models. Do you know by any chance if that means they will work only in Thailand and in thai language? or will it work globally as well and in english (i guess that can be changed in the settings)
I tried to ask the apple shop in the chat but they say they offer only thai language service at the moment.
thank you.

Thanks rich.. I guess I'll order one from Lazada then.

And if yes, how much percentage will it be?

Anyway Webber4 you can tell you friend to save their money and sit tight as entry to Thailand is near impossible.
Thank you for your reply. She knows that by now and yet she is determined to find a way. Let's see how it goes.

Hi,
I have a friend who lives in Estonia (Estonian passport) who wants to come to Thailand. Under the current restrictions she won't be able to enter with a tourist visa. She's interested perhaps in making a working visa or another visa (money is not an issue). Would that be a possibility? Any link to some site or thread she could look into?
Thank you.

HI,
I have an israeli passport with a tourist visa which I've already extended 3 weeks ago and it's about to expire on April 5th.
I understood i could extend it in Samui Immigration as long as I bring a letter from the embassy (which I have) but they have huge waiting lines due to the borders being closed.
I have also heard of 2 or 3 alternatives on the island including a law firm that offer to do it instead...Does anyone know if these are reliable?
Also - is the emergency visa at the immigration full 30 days? I've heard some people got 15+15 days extension which means you need to report back after 15 days or something like that.
Thanks in advance.
Has anyone re-entered Thailand after expiration of a 'dodgy' volunteer visa?
