Remember that consulate has a three business day processing time
meaning if you apply on Monday morning you get your passport back Wednesday afternoon
and
if you apply on Thursday you get your passport back the following Monday afternoon.
Also watch for any holiday closures.
thanks a lot for all the info, much appreciated!

Hello,
can anyone please tell me how long before applying for a single entry tourist visa in Laos (Vientiane) i should book an appointment? or is it back these days to just showing on the spot at any given day?

HI,
I have a citizen watch, 1.5 year old which stopped working, I think it's the battery most likely that needs to be replaced. anyone knows a shop in koh phangan that could do it? i tried that counter in Big C but the lady said there she can't open the watch with the tools she have.
thanks

The visa is only valid for one entry.
Thank you! Do you know if that means I can do a new one online before the older one expired? Or has it expired already once I used one entry?

Hello,
I have an METV tourist visa and planning to go in 3 weeks to stamp the 3rd entry. I have a question regarding the laos visa, I have an e visa i made 2 months ago when i went there before to stamp my 2nd entry. it expires on the day I'm planning to do the border run. my question is - will i need to make a new laos visa to enter laos or can i use the same one to go in and out and come back to Thailand?
thank you!

If your first flight is an early morning flight, it will usually be on time or close to it. Air Asia flights later in the day are often late, sometimes by multiple hours. If missing the second flight would be only a minor inconvenience, I might risk it if arriving on the first flight in the morning. Otherwise, allow three hours.
thank you!

Sure but you eliminate the lao/thai immigration at the bridge and the taxi ride to UDT airport
true, but for this journey I will need to wake up 4 am to get to the latest flight at 11:30 from surat thani. I'd rather do the ride to border and back in a reasonable hour and also save some money.

Are you using Air Asia for both flights? In that case they would help you in case of a delay.
Yes, both flights.

You have opened two threads now and I am confused.
Other thread says "visa run".
But your question seems about domestic flights Udon Thani -> Don Mueang -> Surat Thani with a one hour layover at Don Mueang?
I'm very sorry, I made a mistake with one of the messages but didn't find a way to delete it. thank you for helping and again, I apologize.

Does anyone know if they are punctual? I'm suppose to have 1 hour layover (domestic flight with no checked in baggage) and self transfer in Don muang. Will I make it or better choose another flight?
Thanks

Does anyone has experience with Air Asia domestic flights? are they on time or I better choose another flight? I will have only carry on luggage, and layover is at Don Muang airport
thanks.

I'll be arriving to the airport at 21:00 and will need to get a room either nearby or next to the border (going for border run in the morning). Will they charge a lot because of the late hour or something reasonable?
Thanks

Hello,
I have an METV and planning to stamp 2nd entry soon. I was wondering if it's possible to cross the friendship bridge/Nong Khai (first Thai immigration exit, then Laos visa on arrival process and entry) and come back immediately to Thailand (Laos immigration exit, Thai Immigration entry)? or do i need to spend 1 night in Laos for whatever reason?
also is it possible do apply for Laos visa online and present it at the border instead of waiting in line for the visa on arrival?
Thank you!

planning to fly from Koh Smaui and come back on the same day to stamp my 2nd entry of my METV. i checked flight times and it's possible but just wondering regarding the authorities if they will be okay with that.
plus, as far as i understood I'll need - covid travel insurance for 1 day, filling up some online medical form and antigen covid test or vax certificate. did i miss anything?
thank you!

Generally, you are supposed to stay one night in Cambodia, unless you have a multiple entry business visa for Cambodia. However, there is an exception when entering and leaving specifically from Phnom Penh airport. You can exit Phnom Penh on the same day you arrive. Your only potential issue could be the officials at the Bangkok airports who have been known to refuse to honour tourist visas if, in their view, you have spent too much time as a tourist in Thailand.
Thank you very much for this valuable information!

Are you that you can apply for a 30 day extension for each 60 day entry from your visa?
yes, i'm aware, thank you. already got 30 days, they will expire in 2 weeks.

Thank you ????

Leaving on the same day might be a problem with Cambodia's immigration. At land borders you have to pay extra for an exception, I don't know how they handle this at the airports.
Why Cambodia, anyway? You probably (depending on your nationality) need to pay for a visa. Malaysia might be a better option.
thank you.
I have an Israeli passport so Malaysia is not an option. Singapore is a bit too pricey from what i checked. perhaps Laos? will they also not allow entering and leaving in the same day?
visa on arrival question

Hello,
I visited a site that explained the requirements for getting a visa on arrival to Thailand, one of the requirements said ' Must have a confirmed return ticket exiting Thailand within 15 days. Open tickets do not qualify. Traveling overland by train, bus, etc to Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia (including en route to Singapore), Myanmar, etc is not accepted as proof of exiting Thailand.**'
can anyone confirm this is indeed needed in Bangkok main airport? if so, could i use onward ticket? I plan to do a proper visa later in Laos, just wondered about the return ticket scare.
thank you
