Thank you both for the answers,
I guess I'll stick to Vientiane since I never had any problems with getting a visa there and it seems that there isn't really any other cheaper option.

Hello there,
I am staying in Koh Phangan at the moment and have an israeli passport. I'll finish a triple entry visa in May and I'd like to apply for a new single entry thai visa (plan to leave thailand after that) for 3 months. I can't go to Penang because they don't accept israelis there so I was wondering what would be the best alternative. In the past I went to Laos (Vientiane) which as I know is the most friendly embassy around but the problem is that it's a bit of an expensive option. So any advice of another friendly embassy around where there's a high probability of getting a single entry visa ?
thanks.

Thank you all for the advice.
What I did in the end is call the embassy and ask them if it's possible to cancel the double entry visa and make instead a new triple entry visa - They agreed and I got what I wanted.
This is a very friendly embassy so I'm not sure it will work in less friendly embassies around the world.

Hello there,
My question is this - a bit more then 2 months ago I went to Vientiane and applied for double entry visa - I got it and used the first entry but recently I decided to go to Europe for a vacation so I haven't used the 2nd entry yet.
My question is - If I will go to the thai embassy here in Europe and apply for a new triple entry visa (I plan to go to Thailand for at least 7 months) Will they allow it or Will they say I can't apply for a new visa unless I used the 2nd entry from the Vientiane visa ?
Thank you.

eaglesflight is right. the que on picking up the visa was equal to the numbers from the day before.

Thanks,gil,but it doesn't matter anymore since I've noticed on Nok air flght schedule that the 17:15 flight has been removed so the eariliest flight now is the 18:35 one which means I'll make it in time for sure for that one.
I wonder why Nok Air does these changes in the schedule and cancells flights one day before. Probably saving money issue.

I think I'll try my luck at the office and worst case I'll take the last flight at 21:50 which is 500 baht cheaper and spend the night in bkk.there's another Lompraya at 06:00.
Anyway,thanks a lot for helping

@khunbenq
Thanks for the advice. I wanted to take the 17:15 one so I could make it in time to the Lompraya at 21:00 from bkk to the island. But anyhow I'll give it a think and decide later.

Makes sense.then I'll just come Early At 13:00.

@ubonjoe
Thank you,sir. I was one of the first few ones in the que today for the visa application today in the embassy - doesn't it mean I'll also be one of the first few ones to get the passport tomorrow? Or ia there another reason why I might be delayed?
-
You should be able to make it unless you are delayed picking up your passport at the consulate.

Hello,
Today I've applied for Thai visa in vientiane embassy and I'm suppose to pick it up tomorrow at 13:30.
the question is - I was thinking of booking today a flight with non air at 17:15 tomorrow. so considering traffic at that time in Vientiane and lines of waiting in the friendship bridge - will I make it in time for the flight(leaving Thai embassy at 14:00) or would it be better just to buy a ticket in the airport for one of the later flights?
thank you.

Hello there :-)
Does anyone know if it's possible to get a double entry tourist visa (israeli passport) in Vientiane these days ?
Thank you.
-
Hi :-) I'm staying right now in Koh Phangan. here are my details :
Israeli passport with triple entry visa which is about to finish on 27th of may (already done extension in samui). Usually I'd go to Laos for getting another tourist visa but I'd rather avoid that because I'm planning to stay only 30 more days in Thailand.
Is there anywhere I could go (border ? ) to get 30 days stamp visa ? Ranong ? somewhere else which is closer to Koh Phangan then Laos ?
Thank you :-)

@Dave
Thanks Man :-)
But the name of the agent in your attachment is not Mr. Oun - it's kiettiphoum...same guy or different ?

Hello there :-)
Does anyone know the agent 'Mr Oun' - is he reliable ?
thanks.
Question for those who recently applied for thai visa in Vientiane
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

Hello there,
I'm planning to go next month to Vientiane to apply for single entry tourist visa (Israeli passport) together with my girlfriend (french passport).
I've done this visa run several times in the past and it always went smoothly.
my question is - did the embassy made any changes recently with the guidelines regarding getting a visa - such as requirement to show cash,bank account papers etc. ? or is it as i remember - just filling up a form and paying the visa fee ?
Thanks a lot.
