Oh, thanks Joe. Is this new? I remember getting a METV in Laos years ago.
A TR visa is also 60 days at a time if I remember rightly?

Your only choice nearby is single entry tourist visas. You could get up to 3 or 4 of them without a problem.

Hi there,
I am looking for some advice on my personal situation. I started in Thailand some years ago studying Thai at a language school on an ED Visa, then transferred to a university where I am due to complete my degree (one that still immigration still only gives 90 day extensions for). For now it is my intention to stay in Thailand afterward but I will be looking at finding a job and get a work permit etc. However at the end of my studies, I will have to cancel my ED visa and move onto a tourist visa whilst looking/applying for work.
I don't have any tourist visas in my new passport, nor visa exempt entry stamps as I have been on the same ED visa in my current passport. My question is, where is the best place to obtain a multiple entry tourist visa outside the country in Asia? I would like to make use of some quality time whilst applying so am looking at somewhere nice, perhaps Vietnam, Penang or even Hong Kong. I have been reading stories of visas being denied because of no outward ticket from Thailand and obviously I would not have an outbound ticket booked in this situation.
Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you.

What we mean by a British doner kebab is 'minced' lamb. Its dirty and greasy and hardly called quality meat but its tasty after a long drinking session. Often served with burger sauce... Filth! Does any other Brit agree this is what we mean?

HI all,
Does anyone have a road map detailing a motorcycle friendly route from Bangkok to Pattaya and back?
There are a few threads about this but from 5+ years ago so roads probably don't even exist anymore.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys,
Weird question here but does anyone know somewhere/someone I could buy a motorcycle horn/siren that makes that distinct "PAAAAAARRRRRP" sound?? Here's a YouTube link to the sound it makes - Approx 26 seconds in:
The other part to the question is if anyone knows of that type of system fitting on a Honda CBR150R??
I'm not expecting any answers to be honest but on the off chance that someone knows anything, it would be much appreciated!
Thanks

Hi Guys,
My french passport holding friend would like to apply for a TR visa in KL. On the website it mentions something about 'listed and non-listed' countries and their requirements...
Will he need to show hotel and flights (and even bank statements)??? Hotel = his Thai partner's condo, flights = there's one flight back into Thailand as he wants to covert his visa inside the country (don't worry about this as I know some people disagree) and bank statements = well that's not gonna happen.
Any help is very appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Hi Guys,
I need to go to immigration tomorrow to extend my ED visa. It'll be a Thursday and I will want to be processed as quickly as possible. What time do they open and when is the best time to get there to queue for first ticket?
I also need to get some photocopying done before they'll give me the ticket. Does anyone know what time the copy shops open too.
Thanks in advance

If you want to take a trip, I know just such a breeder in Phitsanulok.
Hi PattayaClub,
I am interested.
Could you possibly send me details?
Thank you

Hi All,
Would anyone know any respectable breeders of the above breeds of dog in or around Bangkok?
I'm not looking for a show dog, but a pet.
Thanks in advance

Just out of interest, what non-skilled (I don't mean manual) work can a foreigner do here without a degree? I'm just curious what routes they could go down.

But I thought you need to show a residency certificate to be able to sell a motorcycle no??? If he is no longer living in Thailand then how would that work?
Do you know of any motorcycle shops that will have a contact at the DLT?
Thanks guys.

Hi all, I have just bought a motorcycle from a friend however this friend is not longer in Thailand. I would like to transfer the ownership of the bike into my name but how would I do this without this guy in the country.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks

Hi all,
I've just purchased a new Honda CBR150R today and it needs a fair amount of work done to it, most importantly a service and a change of battery, however I've been used to riding a Yamaha around for the past year so I don't know any Honda specialist repair shops in Bangkok.
I live around the Victory Monument area and wondered if anyone knows of a reasonably priced but good shop around?
Thanks in advance!!

So with regards to a divorce (or dissolution) I would have to travel back to the UK to fix it?
-
Hi all
A bit random but I'm in a civil partnership with someone of the same sex (a Thai). What I would like to know is if there is a way I can legally have this dissolved within Thailand. It's for when (or if) Thailand recognises them; I'd like to have my options open with my current partner.
Cheers in advance.

Yes they will. The paperwork is already in the processes. Thank you for your help.

Hi All
A quick question. Am on an ED visa studying at university and would like to know if anyone thinks it poses a risk leaving the country for the UK for a week WITH a re-entry permit to re-enter Thailand with just another couple of weeks remaining on the extension? My plan is to extend once back in the kingdom with the relevant paperwork supplied by the university.
Thanks in advance.

Hi All,
I know this is random but I don't know who to ask and any my Thai isn't up to scratch with discussions about motorcycle horns.
I have a 7 year old Yamaha Nouvo and with Bangkok's dangerous roads, I'd like to upgrade my horn to that of a Honda. They're super loud (or at least the PCX's I rented was loud). Does anybody know if this is possible and how much a new PCX horn would cost??
Thank you in advance.

Great, thank you very much. Much appreciated.

Hello all, is it possible to change from a non-immigrant B Visa to a non-immigrant ED Visa within the country, or do I need to inform my friend to leave the country and return with a new Visa?
I keep hearing different snippets of information and none of them seem to add up together. Does anyone know the real answer?
Thank you very much

Curiosity got me. There are people in Thailand that have overstayed 20 years+. My wondering where what might happen to those sorts of people should they be apprehended or try to leave.
-
Literally just wondering, but has anyone actually heard of a horror story involving a custodial sentence within Thailand for overstaying their visa?
-
The last thing I heard was the trendy building visa service provides the letter with your passport asking immigration to transfer the visa to the new passport. Is this wrong?

Thank you very much. In terms of location, quoting my original post, which would be easiest to apply to from Penang, Hong Kong or Vietnam?
