That would of been a 2 or 3 entry tourist visa that are no longer issued. A multiple entry tourist visa now allows unlimited 60 day entries for 6 months from the date of issue.

A single entry tourist visa would allow a 60 day entry that can be extended for 30 day entries.

Thank you very much. In terms of location, quoting my original post, which would be easiest to apply to from Penang, Hong Kong or Vietnam?

  2. Oh, thanks Joe. Is this new? I remember getting a METV in Laos years ago.

A TR visa is also 60 days at a time if I remember rightly?

You can only apply for a multiple entry tourist visa in you home country or country of legal residence.

Your only choice nearby is single entry tourist visas. You could get up to 3 or 4 of them without a problem.

  3. Hi there,

I am looking for some advice on my personal situation. I started in Thailand some years ago studying Thai at a language school on an ED Visa, then transferred to a university where I am due to complete my degree (one that still immigration still only gives 90 day extensions for). For now it is my intention to stay in Thailand afterward but I will be looking at finding a job and get a work permit etc. However at the end of my studies, I will have to cancel my ED visa and move onto a tourist visa whilst looking/applying for work.

I don't have any tourist visas in my new passport, nor visa exempt entry stamps as I have been on the same ED visa in my current passport. My question is, where is the best place to obtain a multiple entry tourist visa outside the country in Asia? I would like to make use of some quality time whilst applying so am looking at somewhere nice, perhaps Vietnam, Penang or even Hong Kong. I have been reading stories of visas being denied because of no outward ticket from Thailand and obviously I would not have an outbound ticket booked in this situation.

Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you.

  4. Hi Guys,

Weird question here but does anyone know somewhere/someone I could buy a motorcycle horn/siren that makes that distinct "PAAAAAARRRRRP" sound?? Here's a YouTube link to the sound it makes - Approx 26 seconds in:

The other part to the question is if anyone knows of that type of system fitting on a Honda CBR150R??

I'm not expecting any answers to be honest but on the off chance that someone knows anything, it would be much appreciated!

    Thanks

  5. Hi Guys,

My french passport holding friend would like to apply for a TR visa in KL. On the website it mentions something about 'listed and non-listed' countries and their requirements...

Will he need to show hotel and flights (and even bank statements)??? Hotel = his Thai partner's condo, flights = there's one flight back into Thailand as he wants to covert his visa inside the country (don't worry about this as I know some people disagree) and bank statements = well that's not gonna happen.

Any help is very appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

  6. Hi Guys,

I need to go to immigration tomorrow to extend my ED visa. It'll be a Thursday and I will want to be processed as quickly as possible. What time do they open and when is the best time to get there to queue for first ticket?

I also need to get some photocopying done before they'll give me the ticket. Does anyone know what time the copy shops open too.

    Thanks in advance

    :)

  7. Hi all,

I've just purchased a new Honda CBR150R today and it needs a fair amount of work done to it, most importantly a service and a change of battery, however I've been used to riding a Yamaha around for the past year so I don't know any Honda specialist repair shops in Bangkok.

I live around the Victory Monument area and wondered if anyone knows of a reasonably priced but good shop around?

    Thanks in advance!!

  9. Hi All

A quick question. Am on an ED visa studying at university and would like to know if anyone thinks it poses a risk leaving the country for the UK for a week WITH a re-entry permit to re-enter Thailand with just another couple of weeks remaining on the extension? My plan is to extend once back in the kingdom with the relevant paperwork supplied by the university.

    Thanks in advance.

  10. Hi All,

I know this is random but I don't know who to ask and any my Thai isn't up to scratch with discussions about motorcycle horns.

I have a 7 year old Yamaha Nouvo and with Bangkok's dangerous roads, I'd like to upgrade my horn to that of a Honda. They're super loud (or at least the PCX's I rented was loud). Does anybody know if this is possible and how much a new PCX horn would cost??

    Thank you in advance.
