    I'd buy a beach house if they were cheaper. Risk of flooding doesn't seem to worry Bill Gates or Barak Obama, and they probably have better information than us.

    So don't build or live in flood areas, fire areas, and don't buy insurance. This is common sense. PS. IPCC report AR6 dated 2022 states there is only a moderate risk (1 in 4) of coastal flooding in the next 77 years.

    No retirement VISA in Vietnam, you either have to work there or marry a local. Da Nang beach is really nice for swimming though. But if you want the full 'single guy' experience, Saigon is the place to be and you need to take the ferry to Vung Tau for the swimming.

    I always assume they are pushed, and it's easier for the police to say they fell. Any foreigners that survive the fall are probably too embarrassed to admit to ladyboys in their room. Lets face it, no authorities in Thailand really care why foreigners die or are injured while here.

    Fear your food! I drink raw milk (and have for the past 50 years) and haven't caught TB yet. I'm guessing it isn't a problem unless you're chronically sick.

    Can you foam it in an expresso machine? If not it's made from powder. Never seen any coffee shop using Dutch Mill or Foremost because it doesn't foam.

    I've seen lots of milk labelled 'made from real milk', which means made from powder that was once milk. Much of the milk on sale in Thailand is made from milk power, Foremost and Dutch Mill being two examples. Meiji appears to be fresh milk.

    Mason jar - goes brown in 3-5 months. Vacuum wrap in fridge - still green after 7 months.

    40% of Thai milk comes from NZ, another 11% from OZ. Don't believe any milk comes from Malasia.

    That still doesn't make much sense. 40% of milk in Thailand come from NZ, another 11% from OZ where it's winter, and in Thailand it's summer. Both regions cows won't be drying off at the same time. So why no milk?
