Not true, government minimum insurance pays out no matter what, assuming you purchased it. -
Globally we are entering a very fragile state: is Asia ready?
BritManToo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
That's because America is the 'good guys' so the media don't show it. You've not quite got the hang of propaganda yet! Only 'bad guys' are shown doing bad things. -

Their next bogus excuse is not carrying the 'green book'. But they have been known to use no wing mirrors, rear footpegs down, the list goes on ....... You're supposed to sneak them 100bht first chance you get, then they wave you on. -

Hard to tell what's right or wrong when you're only shown one side. And the governments encouraging that one side have an agenda. If you think Russia is in the wrong, go and join up on the Ukraine side. Posting here isn't gonna help anyone. Me, I don't care, let them kill each other, I couldn't tell a Russian from a Ukrainian and wouldn't talk to either.- 176 replies

No driving licence, 200-400bh fine. Just think of it as a foreigner tax for driving in Thailand. If you'd had a d/l he would have just made up another offense.- 160 replies

Globally we are entering a very fragile state: is Asia ready?
BritManToo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The COVID restrictions have destroyed the western economy, they desperately need 'bad guys' to point the finger of blame towards, in order to distract the proletariat. Russia or China are equally good in the role of 'bad guys'. Expect several years of hate from the media.- 176 replies

Chicken curry from my local market stall went up from 30bht to 35bht last weekend. That's a 17% rise.

I've not watched one report. The answer is to not watch western anti-Russian, anti-Chinese propaganda. Was it any different when America was invading Arab countries? Did we all feel the need to boycott America?- 176 replies

My Thai cycling pal, age 64, retired schoolteacher, has a 24yo girlfriend (younger than his daughter). My woman's best pal, age 43, has a Thai boyfriend, builder age 66. Italian guy down the road, age 58, has a Thai wife age 58. As far as I can see your post is complete nonsense. Or maybe you don't know any Thais?

We don't really use water heating except for the kettle. Cold showers are good for you. -

I'm about the same level of aches and pains now (age 66) as was when I was 40. Essentially, a little joint pain in my knuckles from riding a m/c when I was young in the cold UK.

As for Agoda and Booking.com ..... I've uninstalled the apps from my phone as it doesn't appear I will be able to leave Thailand then re-enter in the near future without buying needless expensive insurance I don't want. -

Now the smog has been washed out of the air, I'm getting a lot more, even though the sky isn't blue (midday today). -

Allegedly put us on the moon. Although to my mind NASA is now keeping humanity out of space. -
I've never had any of your problems. Although I don't like the sweet Asian Pizza so I make my own, it's not hard and costs a fraction of the price. And the alcohol is really cheap. Guess it's not a suitable country for faddy western eaters. Although saying that, Durian Riders Vegan cycling community seem to do OK there. So maybe it's just you.
