I always take sandwiches, and a thermos of coffee made in the waiting room (3 in 1 + free hot water)

I always thought it was a scam by the government to keep straight white males working. Same with giving the woman the house in a divorce, gotta keep those guys at work.

While replying to you a big purple butterfly flew in the window and sat beside me on the sofa, how good a day is this?

Just had a good morning wiring 3kw of solar panels to my off grid inverter (5x580), and 1.2kw of solar panels (4x340) to my grid tie inverter. Now charging my EV should be free. Lifting those 580w panels on to the rails is hard work!

Everyday is a good day for me.

Root the phone and your bank apps won't work on it.

You're wrong, I'd want a 300ah 15unit battery minimum, about 50kbht on a 6kw inverter 10kbht for the bedroom air con unit and upstairs electricity. And another battery, with 6kw or 10kw inverter for the downstairs air con and electricity. I'd leave any shower heaters on the grid. 9x 580w mono type bifacial panels (20kbht) on each inverter. Total around 170kbht

Bangkok bank .face scan.

Increasing limit to over 50k PLUS every transaction over 50k. So the first transaction you have to do the facial nonsense twice. You also have to do it when activating the bank app on a new phone. -

I gave up, sent the guy a 49,900 payment, and said I'd bring the rest in cash tomorrow. That head cover and blink 3x nearly made me go mad. If I take my glasses off, I can't see the instructions. -
Been looking at Neta V for a while now. New was 430kbht, but suddenly 2 year s/h became 219kbht. So for a 2 year old EV with 25,000Km @219kbht (inc transfer, 1 year tax but no insurance) I couldn't resist. Only driven it 30Km so far, The good, Plenty of leg and headroom, seating comfortable, very easy to drive, very smooth ride, nice responsive light steering. 1Kwhr takes me 8Km, so very cheap to run. I turned on "1 pedal" so when you stop accelerating it brakes gently on it's own. I turned "creeping" off, too easy in stalled traffic to forget to keep your foot on the brake, then you're into the car in front. I like the fact I don't need to use the remote key, button on the drivers door which unlocks and turns everything on when you enter, and locks and turns off everything when you exit. Centre mirror has a USB connection for a dashcam. Doesn't feel or look any cheaper than the other small hatchbacks on the market (Swift, Mazda 2, City, etc). The Slightly annoying, Carplay is only for wired phone connections and apps, once launched best operated from the phone screen as the 14" touch screen isn't very responsive, but it surprisingly works with Android phones using the Carbitlink app from play store. Not obvious how to turn cruise control off once you're cruising. The bad, Windscreen cluttered (like many modern cars). Very limited view through the rear windscreen, rear passenger seats and headrests are in the way. Electric adjustable side mirrors don't fold back, everything else electric, but no electric folding mirrors.

Should I return to the UK - difficult decision!

I never worry about medical insurance, don't have any insurance that isn't required by law. -
To be fair, China haven't been producing hi tech for that long (15ish years). Japan have been at it from the 1970s. TCL TVs kick the poop out of all the Japanese TVs.

I think you're a bit confused, https://www.aichelin.at/en/products/topics/lfp-vs-nmc-battery LifePo4 3.15V cells relatively safe. "Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries, often referred to as LiFePO4 batteries, are a type of lithium-ion battery that utilizes lithium iron phosphate as the cathode material. LFP batteries are known for their stability and safety due to their robust chemical structure." NMC 3.65V cells are the 'burny' ones. "Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) batteries belong to the family of lithium-ion batteries and are widely used in various portable electronics and electric vehicles. They are known for their high energy density, which allows for a compact and efficient energy storage solution."

What a Palaver.......
BritManToo replied to Cardano's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
All self created problems, The bank requirements have always been for stamped letter and statement from the bank (at least the past 5 years). All your messing around at home was completely pointless, 15-30 minutes at the bank and they're happy to provide 2 copies ant no extra charge. As for the forms, collect and fill at immigration while your waiting, done in 5 minutes and no arguments about old, new or different forms. Photos is always a good one, I take about 10 (x2) each year, and the ones I didn't use from the years before, I just hand them the lot and they can pick the ones they like. Like many foreigners in Thailand, advance planning/thinking is not only pointless but frustrating!
