Sorry to hear about your problems, it could have happened to any of us. Divorce crippled my retirement plans and lost me my home as well. But have you thought that there is no waiting list for accommodation and full health care the moment you enter the UK prison system? And when you come out, they also provide a half-way house and continued mental care support.

Not sure I can see how it cost any EXTRA taxpayer money. The boats and crew all get paid whether in use or not. At least this way the equipment is of some use and not sitting around idle in a navy yard.

I think you'll find the student loans are only available to Thais whose high school teachers have listed their family as 'poor' (live in a shack and no car). It was certainly never available to the 'poor' children I took in.

I'm betting most of the 'failures' only failed to pay their fees.

I've never cared one way or the other. If people that left school at age 12, know nothing about anything, can't earn 10kbht/month, are bossed around and slapped by their 'higher classes' and kneel to dodgy monks every day want to think themselves in some way superior to me, let them!
