For vaccination information at Hua Hin Hospital you need to go here. https://www.facebook.com/pagehuahinhospital/
Input your 13 digit code and that will give you your queue number. You can then consult the regularly updated lists which show which day and time to attend. Sometimes there is no vaccine available and appointments will be cancelled. This will be communicated via the Facebook page. Next scheduled vaccinations from 12 July.

    Thanks for the link!

I went to this link and put in my 13 digit code. Despite the fact that I had an appointment for 9 July it now tells me that while I am registered I am not eligible for the current round of vaccine and that I should check back at a later date? They are showing que numbers up to 6634 as the current group to receive vaccine when available? Now I have been assigned a number of over 10,000. Names are listed for the current  eligible people and it appears that they are all Thai's and no Foreigners.

Looks like it's going to be a very slow process getting people vaccinated?

  2. The registration didn't last long. My guess was that it would be a very short window and it was. My family members were ready to push the button at 1PM. They managed to get two people registered here in Hua Hin and at least two other relatives in Phuket. Billing statements will be emailed within 24 hours.

The whole thing was over within 5 minutes. I heard that there were 4000 available in Phuket? Not sure how many in Hua Hin, but probably much less? If another registration becomes available you need to be ready at the exact time to be successful.

  3. It's pretty difficult!

My GF works as a supervisior for an international clothing company. Over 30 years and close to retirement. She had a letter from the company granting her a few weeks off to visit the USA. Never any legal problems and lots of family here including a daughter who lives at home. She had low bank balances but showed that she would stay with me. (That was a mistake). At her interview which lasted about 3 minutes she was given a form letter which basically said that they didn't think that she had sufficient ties to Thailand and was likely to overstay!

Biden is presently allowing hundreds of thousands of illegals to enter the USA illegally but it is almost impossible to get a Thai person in legally. The exception seems to be if they have substantial funds, own real estate in Thailand etc.  My friend gave his GF 2 new cars and a house in her name. They have applied for a fiance visa. This was about a year ago. They finally got a partial approval and are waiting for another interview at the BKK embassy?

Best of luck with your application!

  4. From my brother who is a physical therapist:

Lay face down flat. when you can, come up on your elbows keeping your hips on the floor,  stay there awhile, then as you can push up like you are doing half push ups, hips stay on the floor. Go slow and hold these positions for a little while. Don't force anything, take it ease and just do as much as you can easily. You need to put the reverse curve back in your back. This really helped me! when you strain your back immediately get on the floor and do these moves.

Get the book, " Really helped me!

  5. Hi Keith,

I live in HH and it suits me just fine. It's pretty quiet but the beach is very nice, there are a couple of shopping malls and you can find most of what you need. Rents are very low right now and if you bargain you can find some great deals! The downside is that it is pretty quiet! For years we kept a place in Bangkok and split our time. Now we just go there about once a month for a change of pace. Also until the recent covid wave, we were going on trips around the country frequently. You can get bored.

Best to just come here and spend a few days and look around to decide if it is what you like? I don't think that there is much covid here now? I asked a doctor yesterday and he just said that he was not allowed to talk about it. We are careful but I think that it is pretty much ok?

Thanks. I have already made an offer and got the money lined up, but so far I have mostly seen pasiviness from sellers.

It is a bit frustrating sitting on 6 million wanting to buy and still being offered pre-Covid silly pricing.

    Good luck with your purchase!

Most Sellers are not motivated to make a fast sale. Easy to give up and say that there are no wholesale deals? I always said that I have to talk to 20 People to find one who really needs to sell?

The US government can supply vaccines as foreign aid to foreign countries and yet they can not (will not) supply vaccines to their own US citizens overseas!
And yet China can supply their citizens overseas with vaccines.
What else do you need to know about our exceptional nation and how we expats (don't) benefit from our country's largess?

So - the US will supply Thailand with vaccines, and then US citizens abroad will be placed at the end of the line to receive their vaccines after Thais get their shots which were given to them by the US Government???
    Does that sound about right?
The Thai government has a racist distribution policy that will be directly supported by the US government as US citizens are put at the end of the vaccination lines.
This reads better then a Kurt Vonnegut novel - you can't make this stuff up!
    Welcome to Wacky-World ????

I understand what you are saying and that is what was in the news. However we are presently being registered in Hua Hin to receive vaccine. I registered and received a date, place, and time next month. Now if that was for USA brand vaccines so much the better!

So at 2 June 2021 we're back to fully vaccinated international passengers arriving at swampy (with correct COE documents) only need 7 days quarantine in Bkk, then can fly to any location in Thailand, no further quarantine required.

Or is all of that depending on what 'zone' the passenger departed from on their initial international flight to come to Thailand?

    Have I got that correct?

This is the first I have heard of a 7 day quarantine? Are you sure about this?
