    I think you will find it is very difficult to get insurance cover for your own condominium room that does not exclude the possible events that worry us the most. For example, water damage from pipe break or overflow, and to the room below, or other rooms if the water flows along corridors or down stairs/ utility ducts. We have tried, no success. Post a reply if you have any success.

    The law is basically a "catch all" as far as foreigners are concerned. It basically says " if anyone benefits" you dont need to be paid as a requisite of proof, it's a matter of interpretation by the powers that be. Just keep a low profile and dont offend anyone in a brown uniform.

    My fear is that they will come up with another income stream method and most likely target the majority that do follow the rules. What other 40 year old laws are laying dormant, remember the "report within 24 hrs of any travel from your base"

    Agree. after bad treatment from the above named (they closed the chat line during one of my complaints) I have written to them and demanded they delete all contacts to me. I never use them now.

    To use an IDP you must also hold a valid driving license from your home country. The 90 period is the time most have to wait while their wp or long term visa is being processed, thus holiday'ers and short term visa holders can benefit and utilize the IDP (with valid home country license). Once you obtain your WP or LTV you must get a Thai license. The IDP is not allowed.

    If you live here, and have the necessary visa or work permit you are required to have a Thai driving license. You can use an IDP if you are on holidays or short term visa.

    So are you proposing to substitute weed for one of the other forms of drugs? Or are you quite happy to increase the total number available. And after weed which additional one or two do you want to add?

    Agree age doesn't matter , lots of younger should not be driving or motor bike riding many seem to have no brain at all.
