I'm a hotel owner in Laos. 90% of tourist arrivals into Laos come via Thailand (mainly Suvarnaphoum) as its transit hub, so this decision is a further blow to the 1,000s of hotels, guesthouses, restaurants and all their employees that have lost their jobs since March. In all honesty, I believe Laos will turn its back to TH and start looking towards Viet Nam as a transit hub. Its important to know that decisions made by TH also severely and directly affect all regional neighbours. Fingers crossed.

You have clearly never used this facility which is happening at more and more offices. Very efficient and very little delay. No documentation other than current 90 day report and passport.

The fries comment was lame 12 months ago when these improvements were initiated. i suggest you use your time at home to come up with more original material.

Never going to happen, never going happen...

Surely immigration knows where these passengers went to from their arivals cards,. Why do they not contact trace them and test them, with repeat testing done to confirm any negative results, along with self quarantine.

Yes, you’d expect a level of common sense. Assume they landed and stayed in Thailand, should be straightforward.

The plane and all luggage in the hold was thoroughly searched and passengers were also searched in accordance with "Order 9" of the airport's emergency procedures. EOD bomb disposal units were deployed.

The emergency was declared over at 5.50pm and the flight left for Samui at 6.30pm.

40 minutes to do all that? I most seriously doubt that one.

The original flight was due off at 1.45!

4 hours and 45 mins 'to do all that' is about right?

If the teacher would have said that to me - and I was Thai, you know, because for sure as a farang I would go to jail - I would beat that teacher within an inch of their life.

Then I would tell them, "Now, I'm going to ask the CCTV camera if it saw any of that.  Funny, na?"

It would be working again...of course!

Good on him. A very worthwhile job being done here, but not for everybody.

Not all people need to go to University to be useful & I wish the people in Government & private businesses would

    start to recognize this fact

Absolutely agree with you natway09. Worked in the medical field/industry for over 30 years, people like 'Dr Phee' are the unsung heroes.

    Well done to this man.

  7. The last time I tried to do it online it didn't work.

But then I am in Pattaya,

Still not sure it works here.

I've done my last 4 - 90 day reports on-line with only a couple of problems, and live in Chonburi, near Pattaya. I've read in previous threads that the problem you have maybe something to do with the date of your latest Entry/Departure Form TM6. I left and re-entered LOS in July 2014 and my TM6 is relatively 'new' in terms of it being logged onto the Immigration Bureau computer files. If you have a very 'old' TM6 this might be the source of the problem, as it might not have been registered when the 90 Day on-line procedure commenced. This might explain your difficulty, but I'm sure if my reply is incorrect another more conversant TVF member will be following this thread and will soon give you a more accurate explanation!
Agree...good honest post. Sometimes people get so wound up with the 'admin' which country provides.

    Let's just roll with it!
