  1. The guy needs help, not criticism...

Easy to slaughter from the relative comfort of your 'keyboard'.

Who believes this tosh reporting, a few photographs, idle reporting, bit of antagonism...

I hope he is in good and safe hands...shame on you perfect creatures out there.

    Good night.

Actually I believe anyone who is being a nuisance, touches or attacks someone at random should be punished. Yes, he should be helped but please spare us the bleeding hearts liberal "Stockholm syndrome" claptrap.

If I had seen the exchange I would have pushed him or helped restrain him and called the police to come and get him.

Thai society has enough problems without foreign vermin adding to the problems we already have here.

I take it you walk on water? I sincerely hope he is in better hands than 'yours'.

Stockholm syndrome? What has this to do with hostage taking and captors?

You've a very special set of skills...your village clearly needs you back...

I suggest you return to Lancashire where you should poke someone in the eye. I believe you know what would happen to your sorry a*s before you were arrested,

So you are clearly unsure on your thread content? Never mind, there's always yourself to play with...foolish little boy.

  3. Who believes that they have a fully qualified investigator up there? Indeed, I would have my doubts that there is one in the whole of Thailand!

I'm not talking about someone that they say is qualified but someone who truly is.

I am pretty sure Thailand has no one who is qualified in forensics. You cant learn forensics from watching CSI Miami

Some posters on TV have! The outpouring of expertise and professional opinion never fails to amaze!

They have a particular set of skills...just ask them...

  4. 9/11 was an event which taught America a lesson. That its friends are not altogether allies in arms when terrorism manifests itself.

Frankly America was embarrassed that its own back yard was infiltrated, broken into and totally destroyed in front of a very big audience.

One symptom in denial is conspiracy...

Get over it, it change history and that is something America has simply cannot come to terms with. And to quite some degree in this guys case.

This good Samaritan needs help, not money....

  5. I do not know about this particular guy and his prison experience, but there have been a lot of foreigners over the years who have released books after being in Thai prisons and have made up accounts of abuse in order to help sell their books.

No you don't know about this particular case, but you seemingly know about 'a lot' of foreigners over the years, etc.

Confused with your dubious sensationalistic empirical evidence.

  6. Ok, every body who has posted on this subject has been concerned about the treatment that may or may not, should or should not be given to this obviously vicious, irresponsible, and probably mentally retarded scum. But few have expressed concern for this little girl who will be scarred for life.

Does anyone know the extent of her injuries?

Given the level of medical help this poor child will receive unless her parents or grand parents are wealthy and can pay for specialist treatment she will be looked upon in Thai and many other societies as trash, cast aside to become an easy target for those types who look for these young girls/woman who are blighted through no fault of there own,and who quickly turn them into the village bike.

So on behalf of this little innocent and because non in her family will have money, may I ask if there is anyone in T/V who know how to set up a crowd fund ? So that she may at least have a chance.

I would do this myself but quite apart from not being computer literate enough, I am not a member of Facebook or any other such organisations.

So if there is anyone out there who can set one up and administer it, let's find out what this child needs medically and go for it.

Brownie points are not an issue here, but they will certainly be forthcoming to all farangs if we can be seen to help.

Thanks for listening people and I hope someone can do something.

I am not sure how this post will go down because for some reason non of my posts have a "like this " button and I do not know how to get one, so I can not monitor or follow anything.

    And well said...

  7. Who's the lady in the clown suit?

Believe me when I say, you don't want to mess with her.

She is the Boss of Hillary Group including many other venues such as Morning and Night, Climax Disco and and and...and probably the whole Soi 4 and her Brother some high ranking Officer at Lumpini Police.

But indeed she is a very nice women and very friendly.

She is a good hearted lass, business headed, well connected...a clown? Far from it...

  8. Clearly Thai thugs committed the crimes. That the court decided otherwise is protecting them. And as the appeal judges are based in Surat thani they will continue to support their fellow samui judges. Probably the only court that could be independent is Chiang Mai

Clearly they are Burmese that committed the crime and are in jail, if it is the court is protecting them how comes all the truthers are now attacking the defense team & Andy Hall ?

Robert Holmes said at the end of the trial the defense did not do enough to discredit the dna evidence, and if found guilty this would be why,

But if it is so clear that Thais committed the crime maybe you would like to share the evidence you have ?

At risk of repeating my 'take'. I believe the young men are associated with this crime.

It's a nightmare scenario for them; island, sea, sun, beer, party, tourists, girls and boys, money, drugs, party, testosterone, playing away, freedom, chance, dilemma, infatuation, the chase, the prize...then the 'equal and opposition reaction'.

The realisation it had gone totally wrong, realisation that a crime had been committed...

Thereafter, local influence comes to bear...

But I am absolutely convinced one or both were involved in this crime.

The court holds the 'card' as we speak...not you or I.

    Regards all

if some posters have business interests on Koh Tao and are so-called shills, wouldn't it be in their interest to have the real killers caught? After all if the real killers get away with it they might strike again and that would surely not be good for business.

Who knows what the strategy is, why would mafia threaten the translators at Samui court? According to the vanished post the reach extends to Samui and Bangkok, not just Koh Tao

It's pretty obvious, jayjay, that the strategy is to keep certain members of the Tuvichien family from being prosecuted for murder. That overrides all other concerns, including tourism. The B2 being scapegoated was an attempt to allay the tourism concerns

The sad fact is that nobody even cares, especially the expats on these "paradise" islands. They want everything swept under the carpet as quickly as possible so as not to disrupt their idyllic lifestyles and their businesses. They are all indebted in one way or another to the families that run these islands. Not long ago I came across an old article about the murder of Katherine Horton on Koh Samui (in 2006?) where it was stated that the expat community had closed ranks and behaved in much the same way as they are behaving now in the Koh Tao murders. The practice of omerta still reigns supreme.

Nobody cares? How arrogant is that! Speak for yourself...

  10. What I don't get is why people are stupid enough to let their kids come backpacking in this hovel in the 1st place..... Helllloooo read a newspaper or is there world wide media ban on reporting about Thailand's death toll of forieners?....

Let me asure you a trip to Thailand is a dam sight safer than 2 weeks in Ibiza of for that matter a night out in Manchester of any other British City.

I can equate to this...though there is no last bus home here, like in Manchester!

Ibiza is a big toilet which gets flushed now and again, only to fill up and block once more...

But I hope she is ok, keeping her head low (shamefully perhaps) and will be ok once the dust settles.

  11. Nope. The photo I provided is of the front AND back (hint: look at where the camera is on the two images). Re: internal wiring. You're imagining things.

BS, this is the photo of an iPhone 4s that you posted:

    attachicon.gifpost-246493-0-70035300-1456058875.jpeg

On the left side it shows the inside of the rear panel and on the right the back of the phone with the battery in place.

If you are going to be dishonest at least try to do it in less blatant way.

AleG, look closely: on the left image (the front of the phone), the phone's camera is top right; on the right image (the back of the phone), the phone's camera is top left. Undertand now?

    attachicon.gifiphone-4s-half-thumb.JPG

AleG...schoolboy error. A little climb down apology might be in order?

  12. Putting a hair, or semen sample in a lab work order is certainly possible- and chain of custody can be simply forged- easy as pie.

So why do that AND mess up the lab work ( which would require some cooperation among staffers, too )

In fact the more I think about this case, the more I think the boys were involved in some way- or one of them specifically, maybe not the murder, but the initial stages of the rape.
Just seems like maybe the boys will be boys- rape the farang party thing got out of hand. A third party. The locals weren't killing victims before- this case is different from some factor not yet even touched upon.

Moonsterk, yes I too believe one if not both of the young men were in some way involved, now carrying the can for the whole crime...
They have everything loaded against them, short of additional parties admitting guilt, they might have a commuted sentence at appeal.
