His smiling daughter is happy, she threw the Thai voters under the bus to get Daddy back in Thailand.
pretty sure that is he will do anything t daddy tells her to do, regardless of the moral or ethical implications-

Outrageously pathetic!
No other outcome could be further from the intention of the voters. I do hope the electorate will not allow this to pass.

There is about as much chance of this old toad waddling away from the trough as there is seeing him in the gym.
without his position he has only his ill gotten watch collection to amuse himself and make him feel relevant

So yes they have majority votes but they also need to convince 2/3 of the population to love them .. it is strange we hear so many of the 1/3 but not the silent 2/3 who still did not vote for MF. Let the democratic process takes it course..
there is nothing democratic about a Junta appointed senate determining who the Primary Minister will be

First thing I told her after helping her was not to borrow anymore money. Of course she did not listen at went out and borrowed again. So now she is back in the same situation.
Lesson learnt: Don’t help a Thai in debt. They just don’t get it.
That problem is not exclusive to Thailand.
A big part of the problem is a failure of the education system to provide any meaningful financial or ethics education.
maybe the lottery can fix everything-

You gotta just love how Ms. Shinawatra’s face says “I am really happy about betraying our voters, our people and our principles” “let’s go”!

This is the reason the “Constitutional Court” was created. To undertake the dirty work the Junta wants to be seen as legitimate.
Sad day for Thailand happy day for corruption and juntas.-

I guess Thailand has given up on last year’s policy of “quality tourists” over quantity.
I know nothing last for ever, but public policy in Thailand seems to oscillate more than a fan-

Heartbreaking stories of lives cut way too short. Thailand desperately needs to reform its traffic laws, their enforcement and the police,

But wait… this can’t be true. Prayut promised he was going to rid Thailand of corrupt officials. That is the reason he stated when he staged a coup and overthrew a democratically elected government. I think he also said something about not wanting the prime minister’s job and bringing happiness to the people. There must be a misunderstanding here.

And implement it in UK, Europe, USA...............all countries. Why not?
America already tried three strike laws and that didn’t work out for anyone, except private prisons

What have Thais to do with it...Thai bashing again..Go home.
I think you misread this post and jumped the gun in your haste to insult the original poster.
He was comparing Thailand to China and asking if the next idea will be issuing social credits to Thais as they do in China. There was nothing contained that was bashing Thai people.-

Giant eyerolls, every time Bill Heinecke feels the need to share his useless greedy opinions.
He seems to think the Thai government and the residents care about what he has to say. That is laughable.

I thought one of the coup czar’s main goals was to restore confidence in the government by ridding it of corruption. Tick tock tick tock, eight + long years later and here we are.
…as that goes, it seems not much at all has been accomplished in the past 8 years.-

A corruption accused director who approved higher entrance fees for foreigners has a department lousy with corruption and bribes. Who could imagine?
top down investigation with appropriate consequences for those involved with corruption is way past due.

Thailand is being governed by some old military leaders and inept political hacks who stick a finger in the air to see which way the wind is blowing at the moment, then reverse direction at the slightest change.
most governments are dysfunctional to some degree, but Thailand is the “hub” of governmental dysfunction.-

Prosecutors be aware. You have been warned. If you tamper with evidence and you are corrupted, you may have to accept your pension and move on to a higher position.

Thailand Hikes Entrance Fees for Foreign Visitors at Historical Attractions
in Thailand News

For the last 8+ years the government hasn’t been able to get much of anything accomplished, but now… now that there is no actual government they pass an outrageous increase in foreign tourists fees? This they get done while there is no sitting government? What a farce
