Massive portions at Tarka House soi 13/4. If you want an expensive one then Indian by Nature in Jomtien. Also Masala Twist in Jomtien is decent.

Right, let’s have it straight, people bangin’ on like Pattaya’s fallen off some cliff, like it used to be Victoria’s Secret down Walking Street and now it’s just leftover Greggs pasties in lipstick. Nah, mate. Pattaya’s always been built different. First time I rocked up there, what, thirty years ago, I clocked it straight away. It weren’t full of young stunners prancin’ about, nah it was mostly plumpers and old boilers even then. Half of ‘em looked like they’d just clocked off a shift at Debenhams. Old, haggard tarts, slappers, and sluts. The young ones? They were rare, like finding a decent pint of bitter in a Bangkok Irish bar. And if you did spot one in the high-priced go-gos, she was already booked by some Swiss bloke with orthopedic sandals and a gut like a sack of schnitzel.
And it made sense, didn’t it? The old boys, mostly Germans with ponytails, French geezers with dodgy moustaches, Brits lookin’ like they’d been left out in the rain, they weren’t after the young hot ones. Nah. They wanted the older ones, the ones with less ambition, ones who wouldn’t leg it first time they spotted some Yank flashin’ dollars about. Marriage material, they called it. Settle down, buy a shophouse, open a little cafe servin’ chips and Chang, job done. The young ones? Nah, too much admin. Always eyein’ up the next geezer with a bigger wallet and a better set of dentures.
Bangkok’s where the worldies were, always has been. If you wanted the ten-out-of-tens, you got yourself to Bangers. Or maybe one of the islands if you fancied a bit of that salty-air vibe. Pattaya? Nah. Pattaya was the retirement home of the game. It’s where Bangkok’s ex-stunners went to finish their careers, yeah.
So now you get these mugs moaning, “Oh the girls in Pattaya ain’t what they used to be.” Mate, what, you think it used to be full of? Instagram models? Get out of it. It was always Doris and her mates from the provinces, makin’ ends meet, lookin’ for a geezer with a bad knee and a pension. Always has been, always will be.
If you want the top shelf, you don’t shop in Poundland, do ya? Pattaya’s always been Porkerland. Great fun, plenty of bargains, but don’t complain when the packaging’s a bit battered and fallin' off the scale. Know what I mean, bruv?
What a load of bull manure. Pattaya has many hot girls as well as ordinary ones. Stop comparing the girls with the slappers found in the UK around the London Stadium. I bet you wish you were here don't you. COYS

But your WISE transfers are to Kasikorn Bank, not to Bangkok Bank, right? I think the poster you've quoted makes a valid point - there's a broad range of issues for foreigners using Bangkok Bank nowadays.
I did tests with Wise as I have bank accounts with Bangkok Bank, SCB and Krungsri. Bangkok Bank transfer would arrive sometime in next 2 days, SCB and Krungsri would arrive in seconds. The issue is Bangkok Bank. I always put the reason for transfer as General Living expenses.

Not a good situation all round with using Bangkok Bank for extensions at the moment. It's taken a couple of months to filter through but when I raised the issue at the end of March when I had problems using Cambodia Traval and Bangkok Bank, many posters dismissed it blaming the agent for bad dealings. All round now there are issues with dealing with Bangkok Bank. Wise transactions are now taking 1 or 2 days rather than instant.
-
I am hearing that Bangkok Bank have now stopped dealing with agents for retirement extension renewals as per my topic a few months ago, including Maneerat. Has anyone heard the same. This is very recent.
-
I recently went for a residence certificate at Jomtien immigration. They would not don't until I updated my TM30 in my new passport. So this is why it's a good idea to update it.

Many of them here in Pattaya. You must live in Nakon Nowhere.

I've largely not experienced the recent Indian tourists since I live in the north and outside any tourist areas but I'm seeing patterns reading comments on social media and YouTube, especially Thailand rated content but just general politics across in English speaking countries. People seem universally not happy about this is the least you can say.
I visited Krabi for the first time last year (Ao Nang) and this was the first time I saw the big numbers of Indians. Nothing bad happened but it was overwhelming. I tried them out once but I'm never going back to any of the popular islands down south for all sorts of reason, Indians being just one of them.
Here is one such example. Just read the comments. Indians are largely incompatible with Europeans and will displace existing tourists when they come in large numbers. I've known Thai's personally to be repulsed by Indians in particular so they must be none so pleased too as well. How they're being received by the millions in Western countries is whole other topic but largely follows the same theme.
Not sure how Thailand will cope with this but it's going to be interesting. I'm sure people living in the areas they visit like Pattaya or Phuket will have similar things to say.

What a load of bull manure. Especially that video, what was that all about? Talking about Indians making incorrect accusations against a backdrop of normal Thai life. The screenshot that shows the video is not Indians sleeping on the beach, it's a number of nationalities after the countdown in Pattaya this year, which was cleaned up shortly after. Whilst not a lover of some of the Indian people's behaviour it is exaggerated because nowadays there are more Indians visiting since visa regulations were eased.

Rayong immigration is where I read the requirement. I was waiting to clear up why my 90 report online was rejected. I was out out of Thailand in part of March returning th 29th. I should not have attempted an early online report.
My interpretation is if you are out of your province of residence for over 48 hours you are required to let immigration know. it has nothing to do with Rayong per se. Also it has nothing to do with my 90 day report. Just something I read while waiting for my turn in line.
Many O visa holders travel all over Thailand, I doubt they report to the local immigration office.
Your problem has nothing to do with reporting your address. Your online report was rejected due to the stupid rule requiring your first report after being outside the country to be done in person. Simple as that. Address reporting is a separate issue you may have to submit a new TM30 if you stayed in a hotel and the hotel registered you at that address.

Well I have been using Cambodia Travel for a few years. This year I went to them to do my extension and they informed me that they no longer use Bangkok Bank. I think they must have had problems with their branch on Pattaya Tai. Anyway they said they now use Krungsri Bank. Not wishing to change agent I agreed to this and met the agent a few days later at the branch in Central to open a new account. I had to go down to the AIS shop for some reason with one of their helpers to get a slip to take back to the bank. I then waited with the agent and then opened a new Krungsri account at no cost. The agent did the business and put 800k in and then I transferred back to them. I then had to go to Soi 5 immigration where I met another helper for my photo to be taken. I collected my extension from them 3 days later. The cost was 12,500 baht, no extra cost for opening a new Krungsri account. Hope this helps.

A nonsense and misleading article. The police rarely if ever inspect the tourist nightclubs on Walking St etc. They do however inspect the many Thai clubs that are found on 3rd road etc. These have nothing to do with keeping tourists safe.

Lots of laughable comments about destroying Pattaya as a family destination, it's pathetic. None of you know where all this took place. It's out on the Darkside in Nongprue. It's miles away from the tourist and and so called "family" area. It's just a problem with local youths that occurs in many cities of the world. Stop posting digs at Pattaya because you are not allowed to go there and have a bit of fun.

So, you think it´s ok to move to another country, and the main population is still like home? Hurray! What a difference!
This is hilarious! You talk like just another cool dude, that thinks it´s classy and hot to live in Pattaya, and think nobody that post it something wrong know anything and never been there because they are isolated in a small village somewhere. Are you serious?
First, How many years have you lived in Thailand? I have over 27 by now. That, my dear, tells the story of somebody who have lived in many places. I tried Pattaya for 2,5 years. I didn´t like it. Not even 15 years ago. I also moved to Bangsaen and lived there for a little bit over 1 year. It was better, but still not ok. So, you see, I have experience.
For about 10 years now, I live out in Isaan, in a small town. However, I frequently visit all from Bangkok, Hua Hin, Pattaya, Rayong, and a lot of islands that the whole family enjoy. That, makes me know how it is today as well and how it has turned out. So, you see, no bedsit anywhere, and not really in Nakon Nowhere as you like to call it. On top of that, lived there, done that, still travel a lot.
My reply was about people in general not specifically you. But as you made it personal I will engage.
Of course it's not right to engage in any criminal activity, the point is that it was happening years ago as well, but nowadays we know about it because of social media.
Most people post about Pattaya with limited or no personal experience. I don't suggest anything other than it's a great place to live. I am not talking about the inner city but the whole area Pattaya encompasses.
My original post if you had read it properly stated I have lived here 12 years. Obviously you prefer not to live here but with your limited recent knowledge does not give you the right to make trash comments like "Pattaya is a crime ridden, foreign infested hellhole!
Finally like I said, people who live in Nackon Nowhere which translates to "A small town in Issan"
You are obviously an older person like myself, but someone stuck in the past, unlike me who is able to adapt and change with the times.

Pattaya is a crime ridden, foreign infested hellhole! If we state it like this. Pattaya have according to numbers from January 2025 about 116 500 in population
All this bull manure being posted about Pattaya. Yes there are isolated incidence that get publicity due to increased social media that wasn't there in days gone by. If you just live your life and stay out of trouble Pattaya is a safe and enjoyable place to live. There is first class housing in the gated villages in East Pattaya. Loads of varied nightlife when you choose to visit. Restaurants are some of the best in Asia. There are beaches in Pattaya and Jomtien with many quiet beaches just outside. Water quality is questionable on Pattaya beach but other areas fine. People who put Pattaya down either havnt spent much time here or have never been. Or in many cases are jealous because they live in a bedsit in the UK or somewhere in Nakon Nowhere in Thailand. I have lived in my house in East Pattaya on the Darkside for 13 years and never ever seen or experienced any violence like reported on the various media channels.

Contrary to popular opinion. Dongtan Beach is "not full of homosexuals". Normal people trying to enjoy the beach. After dark it's different I am told.

Another keyboard Richard Head warrior. I have been here 12 years, married to my Thai wife. I am on the beach now and the homeless are everywhere. I know they have to stay somewhere but stay off the beach, spoiling it for everyone.

Well you are definitely in the wrong place then. You should try India or Burma or Pakistan or Afghanistan or Turkey or Libya or any of the 60 or so countries I've visited..That area of Pattaya is a Gay area and not the least bit intimidating.
I know the beach area is known as a gay area, but not at that part of the beach near the 7/11 100 metre's down from the corner of Therapaya Road. The gay part is much further down and only really at night. Good on you for visiting those countries, I have been to India on many occasions. The comments you made were totally irrelevant to the question I posed, but you chose to turn it around, I was asking a serious question.

Russian tourists
in Pattaya

Most Russians have gone home until the next high season. As hinted above. The level of Indian tourists has increased 10 fold.
