  1. In my experience about 20% of the Thai population live in one room. So you are in error in fact and in your imagination.

Hmmmmmm, in my experience more like 75% of Thai families live in 1 room.

That's most of the poor city dwellers in condos, plus nearly all the village people.

Not to mention some of the families in modern houses all sleep in 1 room, because that's what they are used to.

If anyone is interested, I slept in the same room as my parents until I was about 12 (but I did have my own bed).

We did have more than 1 bedroom (most of the time), the other bedroom was vacant, but it was how mom wanted it.

I'm wondering if some of the other posters have ever been to Thailand or have ever mixed with any Thai people?

I'm wondering if your mom ever had a boyfriend over to have sex in front of you?

If not then what is the point of your comment?

  2. I'm not a lawyer and I'm not a pervert but I'd say there must be 20 million Thai kids that sleep in the same room as mom and dad till they get old enough to buy a house or get married. I don't think it's a good idea but that does not change the fact that many families in Thailand live that way and it's not against the law.

You're not a lawyer and you can't bother to read either.

The OP is a passing boyfriend, not a family member.

    I feel sorry for you.

You feel sorry for me? Why? Post the section of the Thai law that States where children must sleep in the family home. Easy. You don't have a general living next door and you have never read the protection act would be my guess. But prove me wrong. Simply cut and past the applicable chapter and verse that applies to this thread.

I already have, you poor soul. You don't know much about law, do you. Every single possiblity is not required to be cited in a law as common conduct and norms dictate what is harmful.

  4. Que the usual "the girlfriend killed him" posters and "another police cover up" brigade.

i think the drugs would have taken his life in the end..some people get a panic attack off a joint so we all react differently i think sir..

Agreed. Most likely is what it is, the direct result of lack of sleep and strong chems. I doubt there is much more to it than that.

Were you there? Have you seen toxicology reports? Did you see video footage?

If not then please don't say you "doubt it".

  5. "for now... be content with the daughter on a mattress on the floor next to your bed.

you can "play when the daughter is sleeping."

That is absolutely sick and illegal. Having sex in the presence of a child is considered felony child sexual abuse.

I can't believe some of the depravity people are capable of.

Keep in mind that your cultural background and that of the OP is probably not the same. It may be illegal in your home country, but it is not illegal in Thailand, as long as the child is not involved, and it is not illegal in most western countries either. Some people may find it a bit weird, mainly because most people don't like if someone is watching/listening, incl their own kids, but it is legal nonetheless.

Also keep in mind, that centuries ago, it was common in ALL countries for parents to have sex in the same room as their children were sleeping for the simple reason that most houses only contained one room where everyone in the family slept. If that was not the case, most of us would not be here today. Granted, most people avoid this practise these days once the kids reach a certain age as most have several rooms and thereby options, but that does not change the fact that it is a perfectly natural thing and that it does no proven harm to the children whatsoever.

Apparently certain cultures find it sick, but certain cultures also find it sick if a woman drives a car, goes to school, talks to men outside her family, marries someone she likes instead of her cousin and so on, all of which both Thai and western culture finds perfectly natural. Perhaps it is just time certain cultures found their way out of the stone age?

Wait, so you say that people in your country have sex in front of their children? And it's perfectly natural? Are you from third world?

It's not illegal in Thailand but is it appropriate? I think this one is common sense here that you should not have sex in front of your children. If it's perfectly natural why would some people who live in one-bedroom house have to wait until everyone is sleeping and do it secretly? How can you think that it's right to show sex act, your penis, your wife's vagina, your dick moves in and out the mother of the children thousand times in front of them? Even if you say you just do it secretly in the same room, you don't mean to let them see, but what if they see those stuffs? Are you sure it's appropriate? Yeah maybe it was like this before in stone age but everything has changed and if it's changed in a better and more civilized way then I think we should do the right things. You are not living in stone age anymore.

What do you know about child sexual abuse? If it's natural then letting children watch pornos or live pornos from very young ages is natural too, right?

I was replying to a post that claimed it was both sick and illegal. I agree it may be inappropriate, depending on the childs age and the situation (as examples lights can be turned off, blankets can be used, and noises can be limited). In any case it is natural and neither sick nor illegal.

"but what if they see those stuffs?"

Yes, what if they see those stuffs? So what? Are they going to die or develop some mental problems or what are you hinting at? I doubt you can find a single serious survey which proves it is damaging in any way to the psyche of a child of any age to see a penis, a vagina or an intercourse, provided that there is a natural and for the child understandable context, such as their parents naked in bed or in the shower or their parents having ordinary intercourse. The child may think it is gross, but that is a completely different and non-harmful issue.

In many western countries, including for example scandinavian countries, which are generally considered as being at the forefront when it comes to protecting the well being of children, the public swimming pools are generally indoors due to the temperature, and the dressing rooms and showers are often shared, although there is one for each gender. That means kids of all ages will be seeing plenty of penises and vaginas in the shower, dressing room and even sauna, and not only that of their parents, but of complete strangers, and often the younger children will be seeing both genders, depending on whether they are going there with their mum or dad, as they are too young to shower and dress/undress alone. In other words, a 6-7 year old girl (sometimes older) can often be seen going with her dad to the mens shower and dressing room, where there will be lots of naked men with penises - and vice versa.

I think pretty much every single grown up person in those countries have tried the above as a child. Yet out of all those millions of people, not a single case has ever been reported where seeing penises and vaginas in the public shower as a child caused any form of trauma or other mental problems at any point in their lives.

Showers and dressing rooms at public schools, sports clubs etc are often also shared, which means older kids will be seeing plenty of genitals there too - although usually only their own gender.

Most people know there is a big difference between most porn and ordinary sex, so I will leave that for another debate.

You have big problems guy. I hope some Cop or pissed off parent sees your posts. As I said, go to a Police station and explain to them how it's OK.

It's amazing that a comment defending the rights of Muslims is deleted and the poster punished but perverts advocating their illegal sickness is OK. I did some research, took a lot of time because of companies behind companies in several countries behind several individuals but I finally came to understand why.

  6. Everything that can be connected is connected to my home network.

Most smart TVs can do some sort of web browsing but this will be limited in the cheaper models.

A good model will do full web surfing and each brand incorporates a certain number of Apps but here they are almost all in Thai. You can download more apps online but the TV's memory is limited as is it's CPU power so it's no where like using a computer.

I stream everything from my computer to watch on the TV and the streaming is seamless and very high quality. I depass the TV to stream music directly to my sound system but one can also stream it to the TV.

The 3 main players are Samsung, LG and Panasonic. I personally think Samsung has a better picture but LG has a better interface and remote.

If you want a good experience with Samsung or LG look for model series of 600(0) or above.

You can also buy a dumb TV and connect it to a smart box or bluray player and get the same thing almost. This is the cheaper solution and is easily upgraded as a TV can not be upgraded.

You should also check if the TV supports Flash. My LG does buy my Samsung does not.

You guys ever get to keep the nom de guerre? Always wondered about that.coffee1.gif

I was a Legionnaire a long, long time ago so I'm not up to date as to how things are done today.

Did I hint some sarcasm in your post?

The so called "nom de guerre" term wasn't used in my time but I suppose you are referring to the law of anonymity.

Only under extreme circumstances could a Legionnaire keep his Legion name but then it was usually changed again when sent back to civilian life IF one remained in France but this was very rare so to answer your question: no at 99.99%.

Strange that I've never encountered anyone claiming to have been any type of former Special Forces in Thailand. I have known a few active members on station here though.

I also meant to say hospital room and not hospital bed.

When you go diving, half the divemaster in Pattaya claim to be professional frogman, navy seals, underwater fighter, etc etc.

Most are just professional liar. But that is the reason that if anyone mention some professional forces the jokes come in, as they automatically assume that it is another of these....

(Like in some countries with draft army, you can than add some time, called something translated to "time-soldier" and most just do the walking around with the new drafts, and later when they finish and are unemployed and than get dive master, this changes to hardest guy of the most special force)

I didn't know these things so now I understand.

My apologies to Somtamnication for thinking wrong about his post.

i think you had better check the laws and your morality again.

It is illegal in Thailand and in every European country.

Sick, sick, sick. There's no reasoning with perversion because, in a pervert, the part of the brain that reasons is broken.

Why don't you go to the child protection agency or the nearest police station and tell them how it's all OK.

  10. I think it was disgusting and HE has no great talent.

Just as those who embrace the new tolerance have the right to express their opinions those of us who find public displays of sexuality distasteful have the right to express our opinions.

If HE's really transgender then he wants to be a woman so why the beard?

He was born a male and no amount of pretending otherwise will change that.

You do realize that some men who dress as women are only attracted to women so this has nothing to do with homosexuality.

  11. Gold may be bought and sold as long as those with guns and prisons allow it so I'm not holding my breath in the hope of a benevolent government allowing me to controvert their currency in the long term.

    Hi - sorry; I don't really follow.....

    Can you elaborate please?

Just my way of saying I don't trust Washington and her cronnies. The exchange, use and barter of metals can be regulated or rendered illegal at the stroke of a pen and has been done so in the past.

  13. I've been debating about writing this then I thought that if I were in your place I would want someone to inform me.

Tamsulosin and Cardura have about the same efficiency but Cardura does not have the (sometimes) sexual side-effects of Tamsulosin. In fact Cardura often improves erectile function.

Just a thought that you might want to discuss with your doctor. Cardura is also sold as a generic here and is very inexpensive (but not the slow release form).

  14. My mother's stovies.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stovies

Ignore the photo on the link - I have never seen stovies, good or bad, that have looked like that, thank God.

I've never heard of stovies but it looks very good. Are there any restos that make it here?

I have never seen it in restaurants outside Scotland. Actually, I have never seen it in restaurants IN Scotland because it is poor peoples' food so more confined to cafes, but it is, for me, the most evocative comfort food.

Making it is easy, although everyone's mother has her own variation.

    http://www.stovies.com/

Thanks so much for the link. I am absolutely so going to make that. It really seems like something I'd love to eat.

  15. Hi,

The warranty of my BMW just expired and I have it serviced at a place called B-Quick, I think. Even under warranty things like changing tires were done away from BMW. If you go to a reputable garage or chain service center like B-Quick it is much cheaper than going to BMW and they will find original parts such as break liners and oil filters or will allow you to chose an after market brand.

But until warranty expired you had to do all at BM ? Even tires ? Or the warranty would be void ?

And no problem with you car ? I read so many reports from people having problems with BMW, so it's good to know good feedbacks sometimes.

No, the tires could be serviced any place. Other service could be done at any authorised service shop but as it was free I did all mine at BMW.

There were many problems with my 5 series other than the fact that it is assembled in Thailand yet costs 50% more here than in the UK. Some of the problems are common with all the 5 series and BMW knew about them yet sold the cars anyways.

I'm more of a Volvo and Land Rover person and will never buy a BMW again.

  17. I don't understand the rude replies to this topic accusing the man of trolling.

I don't carry the keys to my offices nor to my home nor to my car.

My maids are always home, my assistant is always with me and my driver takes car of the car.

There really is nothing odd if the fellow didn't have a key to his office with him.

Now that I've said that and read this post I think I will begin carrying keys with me.

I also use a translator often when writing English.

  18. Hi,

The doctor did do at least an Ultra Sound to determine the size of your prostate? Or perhaps it had been done previously?

We can discuss and debate medical conditions all day but doing so over the internet won't produce any valid feedback vis-a-vis a medical standing. At the minimum you should seek a second opinion before going any further with diagnostic and treatment options.

On a personal level, after experiencing bleeding and EXTREME pain after ejaculations, I consulted with 2 Urologists, had the basic tests done and in the end decided to allow nature and G_D to proceed as they think best. Under no circumstances would I allow a biopsy or curative treatment at my age. I feel, and this is just me, that the disadvantages outweigh the possible benefits. If I were a younger man and my family absolutely needed me to live then of course I would do everything possible to survive but these days I feel rather redundant. (I am not advising you to do the same as these are decisions only a Man's conscience and heart can make).

I feel for you and wish you all the best in courage and in health.

    Xavier

P.S. I have no experience with the new urine tests available but here is a link:
