I am trying to work out the difference between someone trying to extort money from me who isn't actually a genuine immigration officer, from the real ones that do pretty much the same.

Shutting people up smacks of desperation, a position fully appropriate given their complete and utter mismanagement of not just Covid, but pretty much everything they have done since they stole the country.
If it was completely transparent, I would love to see their approval ratings right now. I suspect the numbers would be going down about the same speed Covid numbers are going up.

8.1% of people polled then are apparently delusional if they think Anutin is capable.

On a side noted I saw today a video post on Facebook of a large gym in Pattaya...the gym was packed and not a single person was wearing a mask. Wonder if steroids protects from Covid?
I just got back from playing badminton for two hours and no one on court was wearing a mask there either, though they were in the reception area. Simple reason is that you require a hell of a lot more oxygen when exercising heavily and with a mask you simply won't get enough, leaving your heart working way too hard.

The lockdown should have been implemented a long time ago, and while it is going to be unpleasant, if it can reduce these numbers at a time when getting a vaccination is pretty much impossible, it will get my vote. Going to need more than a fortnight of it mind.

I suspect this incident is going to result in a significant number of sandbox cancellations.

I don't want it, nobody wants it, but short of a serious lockdown, I do not see how these numbers are going to do anything other than continue to rise.

Headline is a bit deceiving, it sounded like help in the form of grants, rather than loans, albeit at preferred rates, which still means restaurant owners have to take on more debt through no fault of their own when many of them are to their neck in it already.

I think if I had been away from my family for a long long time and finally managed to get back, given its supposedly not quarantine I have entered, I would have bailed on the hotel and gone straight home too. Wrong to classify him as a tourist too, when he clearly isn't one.

How about spreading some of that 6 Billion to those made destitute by the Covid forced business closures, rather than watching it line coppers and politicians pockets?

It is being donated, but you can bet your last dollar we will still end up having to fork out money for it somehow.

I sure hope that is a step in the right direction, rather than the result of a lack of testing.

Pattaya having been full of Bangkok plated cars over the weekend, no surprise that the Chonburi and Banglamung numbers are sky high.
Stopping movement out of high case load areas really should be a no brainer.

And now we are at 6,000 and rising. I wish I could say there was some concrete strategy for reducing numbers, but if there is, I don't see it. Very worrying days ahead, especially given the vaccine rollout debacle.
I hear through the grapevine that the death toll in the prisons is very bad.

Who no doubt was not arrested (I am sure the story would have said so if he had been), and will carry on as usual, leaving the small fish to go to jail.

I think it is time for the denial that there is a problem here, or that it is under control to be thrown out the window and time for the progression to be very seriously addressed. The hospital system is overwhelmed already and in all likelihood the numbers are going to go up and up. Very bad news.

I would definitely suggest that before you undertake any additional work, that you trot down to your local immigration office and get their official thumbs up of approval first. Better to be safe than sorry.

Given chunks of Bangkok had run out of hospital beds, so have stopped testing, you have to wonder how many cases we would have been seeing today if they had carried on as usual?

A post has been removed along with a reply.
We will not be questioning why it is wanted as the OP has made it clear, that is a private matter, and hence off topic.
We will not be making speculative insinuations about NFC usage, and we won't be insulting others either.

Madness! Many who are positive, are not actually sick, so send them home to isolate freeing up spaces. At least if someone knows they are positive they can take measures to stop spreading it around, which is a better option by far rather than just not test anyone and hope for the best.
We can expect the daily infections to start dropping of course in the meantime, which will probably be acclaimed to be a sign the authorities are wining the battle. Losing the war hasn't entered their heads yet.

You have to feel sorry for the girls. Out of normal options for work, so trying to make ends meet with no government help and end up busted.

You don't have to explain where unexplained funds have gone, and tanks and submarines are obviously more important to Prayut and Co than the welfare of the citizens. Shameful but true.

Phuket Sandbox infections were ‘expected’
in Phuket News
Posted
If infections were expected, they should have had a better plan than to throw everyone on the plane into quarantine when one person tests positive, or at least announced that possibility in advance.
