Very messy numbers just before Songkran. Given the inter provincial travel you can easily see this being spread far and wide in ever growing numbers very easily.

This would explain much of what we hear of and see on a daily basis.

All well and good in the short term. As has been discovered elsewhere though, it takes a very long time for artesian basins to fill but they can be tapped out quite quickly and the situation then is significantly worse than before. Good water management is a far better policy.

Anyone want to bet that this is what will actually happen? Top dollar is likely to go with this plan going the way of those before it by the middle of next week, if not earlier.
Maybe one day they will come up with one that is actually workable in practice.

Being out there on a road anywhere in the country is a potential accident scenario. Too many idiots who just pull out without looking and who have zero idea about traffic rules and risks.

A troll post has been removed along with a reply.
Unless you have some medical evidence to support your allegation, we will not be suggesting anyone has dementia thank you.
Aside from being a pure troll comment it is also defamatory and until proven otherwise, untrue.

I have been visiting prisons here for many years, and while I take on board the comments above about helping kids etc, I point out that around half of the people I have visited were not there because they did anything wrong. Some simply upset the wrong person (often the gf or wife), and others just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Regardless, the sentences dished out for often minor offences are extreme, conditions are disgraceful and helping your fellow man in a time of need is a wonderful thing to do.
r136dg feel free to PM me and I will see how I can steer you in the right direction. It is tough right now as visits are not allowed due to the covid scare, though this will hopefully change soon.

Given the ever changing policy on the matter, the above quote is probably the most accurate statement in the whole piece.

I suspect everyone present came away more confused about what the hell is going on than they were before Anutin opened his mouth.

I notice the stories telling us how Thailand was leading the world in developing their own home developed vaccine seem to have dried up.

Yes, well I think everyone noticed how long it took, which was both pathetic, yet also kind of to be expected.
Completed (at least that section), some years faster than the flyover off Sukhumvit to Bangkok of course, which was I believe around 7 years late for a 6 month project.
I had taken to going around the back past Nongprue cop shop to bypass that disaster zone, but if they are going to murder the next section all things lakeside are going to look much less attractive. If the track record of the last section is anything to go by, could be a while before many of us get to see stuff round there again.

It kills countless lives every year, though hopefully people have finally woken up to the fact. Such a cultural shift will take time, but much harsher penalties will definitely speed the process up.

When I worked, someone in my company would deal with all of the visa needs.
Now I am retired, I still get someone else to do it for me. Annual Extensions, 90 day report, Residency certificates, Re-entry permits etc.
I meet the financial requirements many many times over, but to avoid any of the drama, trips to and fro and annoying waits, I am very happy to pay someone what is effectively peanuts to do it all.
The added bonus of course, is that it leaves me more time to dish out warnings to sinners on the forum! ????

7 minutes ago, WineOh said:why lie about it on Facebook then saying it was a standard 'server upgrade'..?
Make you above comment also rather hard to believe tbh.
I said nothing on Facebook, so please don't suggest so.
I am not responsible or connected in any way to the FB part of TVF, nor do I make any official announcements.
Way above my pay grade.
I understand a server upgrade was apparently due and at first, when everyone was in the dark, it was incorrectly assumed this was the reason.
I am not aware of any campaign in TVF to deliberately lie to its members about any issue, technical or otherwise, so please refrain from suggesting such.

What this site has "done" is to recover from an unexpected complete crash.
A hell of a lot of work has gone on to get the site back up and at least semi functional. It is unfortunate that there are issues remaining, though the technical team are working almost non stop to get it right. A little understanding would help at this point, along with a little patience.
EDIT: It was a malicious DDoS event that caused it, not negligence by TVF.

If I were running the education system, this is one teacher who would be gone from the job, never to return to employment in education again. Horrible piece of work, clearly unsuited for such a job.

From the full story: The Manager said, “I do not want to take action against them because I think they were just having thoughtless fun,”
The lady's bar had been broken into, had items nicked and left in a mess she had to clear up and was still so forgiving? Wow! It seems the kids are in a fair amount of trouble already, but hats off to her for having such a nice disposition and not adding to their woes.

I suspect they will be trying to keep water throwing to a minimum if only for the fact that the reservoirs around here are nearly empty already.

Yet another masterful display by one of those supposedly charged with helping kids to grow and mature into responsible adults.

I would say this is a good idea, but my previous experience with such work for prisoners is that they do not actually get paid the going rate, or even close to it. Nong Plalai prison near Pattaya pays factory working inmates 40 Baht a day, leaving me suspicious that the factory owners and prison officials are pocketing the balance.

Do you have a link to support that assertion? My search on the subject came up with numerous Muslim sites supporting safety measures, getting the vaccine and fighting misinformation.
