Bloody brilliant, let's not worry about the proactive management of the very well known issues that face tourist let's just attempt to provide easier access to the cops.

All the anticipation all the hype, the botched first attempt, the arrival of Super BJ and the 5 day deadline.
After all this, is there no video or photo story?

All the bargains I get these days are through online shopping, except in Thailand where the tax ruins the deal.

When soldiers are involved in raids, a cynic might think the boys in green are making the moves on the boys in browns turf.

All these numbers are a damning indictment of the ineffectiveness of the immigration department. As Head (or acting head) shouldn't BJ be looking within to fix the problem?
This is it, myself and others have asked this before.
With the total lack of critical thinking this question is not addressed by the authorities, of course there is the issue of face as well.

The rotund condition of some RTP members would have well intentioned tourists trying to have them swim back out to sea.

Think of the criticism that Trump receives and imagine Prawit and Co being treated the same way.

I'm sure every country with a substantial tourist industry sees a rise and fall of incoming tourists.
They have their glory days and then people move on to new attractions and value elsewhere.

Seems Prayuths marketing team is starting to crank up his image....I just can't see the current mob actually giving a rats about the Rohingya issue.
No, their main concern is getting Chinese tourists back.

It's not clear to me if the officers that received the transfers were caught at the den or were carrying out the raid?

After reading the Thaiger story I find once again BJ is being refered to as the acting head of immigration. Is this because his promotion is not yet official or is it referring to his acting in front of the camera crew, every day.

As the schedule has past the five days he quoted, might the salvage team be charged with some sort of "overstay"?
Charged with tarnishing the image of Big Joke.

What concerns me when death sentences are passed in Thailand or Indonesia where they actually carry them out, is the possibility even the likelyhood that those involved from the arresting officers up to the Judges who pass the sentence will profit from the contraband confiscated. The stuff is just too valuable to completely destroy, it would be like burning money itself.

As far as Myanma is concerned the Rohingya have been repatriated, and according to language, religion, and genetics, they would be correct. Bangladesh is where they are from. They have never been recognized as citizens of Burma/Myanmar. Just semi-tolerated illegal migrants.
Not PC, but true.
Whether what you state is correct or other wise their treatment by the Myanmar authorities is inhumane and criminal it is also representative of the lack of will and ability of the UN to assist those in crisis.

The managing director of the port is a Police Sub Lt, of course there are many opportunities for the entrepreneurial RTP at a port.
