A country hungry for international recognition, is quite likely going to ignore the work of the internationally praised Ranger who believes in the conservation of wildlife.

One would hope they have other priorities in their endeavours to improve education in Thailand.

I have been approached by a Thai photographer hired by TAT, to participate in the follow up story of how a kind taxi driver returns the 3 million in gold bullion I carelessly left on the back seat of his cab. I hope I get to keep it after the photo shoot ????

He's Prawits lap dog and Prawit is the lap dog of those who make the big baht from the Chinese tour groups.

Where is all this heading, a just conclusion or just someone's big payday?

The way I read this is they were encroaching onto the beach to allow for commercial development. I personally prefer the whole beach, a treed and grassed area perhaps then the bars and restaurants. Left to the developers you get a metre of beach a crumbling seawall then the usual commercial mayhem.

In Thailand, the term 'academic' is something of a moving feast. It can mean more-or-less whatever you want it to mean.
I maintain that you can get a pretty good idea of the state of a population's intellectual, emotional and mental health by watching what they put on TV, including how the audiences react to it..
Thai TV is not a thing of beauty.
If TV is a guage, then the world is doomed.

Old watch boy really is showing what he thinks of someone making a choice against what he believes is right. The right to choose all part of democracy isn't it.

If you look at a boat like this there is probably more of it above the water than below, and without ballast it would be liable to capsize very easily.
The weight of 100 passengers moving around wouldn't help.
Putting weight at the bottom offsets this imbalance and stabilizes the vessel. However if the ballast moves around uncontained, as seems to be the case here, it could have the opposite effect.
So likely to move around if hit by a big wave?

To those in the know, what is the significance of concrete balast, is it to try and balance against over crowding?

It just seems to be beyond them to invest in infrastructure to do the job more efficiently.

Big Jokes silence on this is deafening, nailing foreigners working as tour guides is right in his jurisdiction.
Must be too busy claiming the credit for raising sunken ships.

Which song? The RAP song was well received but long overdue.
50% ish ? Trying talking to people in the north or north east. Even my die hard yellow friends what to see the junta gone. Must have been a Bangkok poll.
It is time for the ultanationalist, wet blankets to return to their bases. The country needs far more freedom than the current over sensitive police state.
The songs Prayut wrote to bring happiness back to the Thai people, that's what I'm talkin about.

Its rather strange, police always claimed its up to prosecutor to take it further and prosecutor puts it back on police to take it further.
No doubt both sides have been rewarded, but when and how is this all going to end?
How is it going to end? I have a feeling it ended a long time ago with the required donations.

I suspect that if anyone did actually try to do something, they would find their path blocked anyway. No one can realistically ever expect to see this man face justice, but then in Thailand, the rich never do anyway, do they?
He could be put on trial he could be sentenced to life he could then be set free on bail.
