They face a month in jail or a one thousand baht fine.

That's a big difference: the first statement gives tourists a choice (who doesn't have 1,000 baht?), while the second statement takes your "pad Thai in jail" off the menu.

That’s sad. I’ve been to most of the View Talay condos but not View Talay 6. The ones I’ve been to had “normal” height handrails by US standards.
Don't go to View Talay 6, or your posts here might cease suddenly...

Actually the bigger crime in Thailand was at the one minute mark when she threw her smartphone.
How is a Thai supposed to survive without a mobile facebook device?
Maybe she nicked a better one which she hid under her dress, might as well get rid of the old one.

good law for sure
You mean the parents who want to smoke should not have children? Or can they have them adopted while they smoke?

I was more spiritual in California during the 80 and 90's, now I am making up for lost time.
Spiritual? Was that Jack D, Tequila, or Jim B?

If he had 11 million Dollars, one has to ask why he would live in Thailand? Cypress comes to mind as a better place, no extradition.
Perhaps he got tired of looking for Cypress in his atlas, and thought that Thailand might be more fun?

I wouldn't stand 2 days without hearing from my daughter, that's me I guess!
BTW I guess she was a very lonely person. RIPIf your daughter was 46 and you pestered her with phone calls every couple of days, she'd be within her rights to have you committed! At 15 or 16 maybe, but 46?!?

The first thing that should be be done is that the police head in charge of that area should be transferred to an inactive position. next ...all the police me seen in that video should be sacked from service! Then all the motor taxis in that area should be rounded up and detained under the internal security act and simply detained without court orders etc, no bail, no visitations
Why...first the police head in that area should be proactive to know what criminal groups are in that areas, who posess a threat etc ie the police are meant to be proactive to gather intel in areas under them. Nest the police in the video seems hopeless and the fact tha criminal actions are taking place in front of them speaks words. Next the public and citizens should be protected against gangs like these.
Most of these motortaxis are basically illegitimate children of police, army or govt servants that studied at the technical colleges famous for gangs of cowards ie most of them need to bring their fellow buddies home to help consummate their nuptial vows on their marriage nights even, as by themselves alone, their single appendages are too small for anything, hence they need cowardly group power.
Time for a long holiday overseas, perhaps?

"Once" is the operative word. I agree that the £ will get better after the turmoil is over - about 3 years after!

Easy, you build a wall around it and put a guard or two in spaces where you ran out of bricks ????

Disagree with the headline, kudos to the cops who show a high level professionalism. In France I have seen the police beating the shit out of Africans or Arabs for a lot less.
Well, yes, that's racism. Thai police generally show professionalism towards one of their own, and less so towards Africans or Arabs. Been this way for donkeys years
