OMG.... RIP little one
what type of drugs was she taking, geezzz how can a mother do something like that to a innocent child, she carry him for 9 months, bond was created and all of a sudden she slashed his throat, he had no way to defend himself whatsoever
So you've done the autopsy and the toxicology screen to be able to reveal that drugs were involved?

Why is it that the price on a round trip ticket from BKK to anywhere is substantially more expensive than the same flights in the opposite direction?
A London-based travel agent tried to explain it to me about 10 years ago....after 20 minutes it got so complicated that I begged to pay full fare economy, which is in the region of £600 plus (and often ends in seven or eight hundreds. I didn't understand it then, and I don't understand it now, but they say stuff like demand from UK or Europe (holiday travel) is a lot higher than expats taking a holiday back home, so sector competition comes in.... I'm lost again

Get me the same price on BKK-LHR and I'll give you a handsome bonus.

Not immediately but once the promised favourable trade deal with the US falls into place the Pound will rise. The EU is the one that is doomed.
Do you really believe that Dump will keep his promise of a favourable trade deal? His motto is, and always has been, America First.

It's amazing what some people will do for their 15 minutes in the spotlight. What a tosser!

I could never understand the logic of why they closed part of it off and turned it into a pseudo u-turn in the first place. But then again Thai's don't understand roundabouts and the reason for them and that if they are used properly they do actually make traffic flow far easier.
As you say, they don't have a clue how roundabouts work, and this is compounded with the Thai attitude of ME FIRST

If these drafts become law, even possessors of cannabis, who are not patients or research units, will be pardoned.
That's the biggest If ever. And if the draft doesn't become law, the authorities will have details of every weed consumer in their database. Scary!

Mr. Lewd Act, if I am buying flowers for my wife, which I do every year, will it be considered as a lewd act?
Buying flowers for the wife is OK (do carry your marriage certificate with you at all times though), but kissing on the cheek will subject you to a hefty fine. Kissing on the lips, however, will not be tolerated and will lead to a jail sentence of no less than a year - to stop you committing the same offence next year! This government cares about YOU!

I could respond with pages and pages of examples, but I'll limit myself to just one. South African Apartheid government tried and sentenced Nelson Mandela as a terrorist. Luckily 99% of the world didn't say "who are we to overturn a legal process in another country". Your argument would make this world a most unpleasant one...

Unbelievable! What about the rape charge and aggravated assault leading to death, for starters. Totally agree with Colin, age shouldn't come into it at all!

For those that don't have any health or accident insurance, having 800k in the bank is not a bad idea.
Although a friend with a sudden medical emergency discovered his 3-day stay in hospital cost him in excess of 1 million baht. Another reason why I am a firm believer in health/accident insurance.

I'm sorry if the below embarrasses you as it was not my intention.1. When you responded to me with, paraphrasing, "try 1% at most!", you were appealing to incredulity, offering no support of your argument.Divine fallacy (argument from incredulity) – arguing that, because something is so incredible or amazing, it must be the result of superior, divine, alien or paranormal agency.[21]2. When you started attacking my interpretation of the meanings of GDP and tourism, you are arguing from another fallacy. However I use the term, as long as I am using it consistently, it has no impact on my argument (percentages).Argument from fallacy (also known as the fallacy fallacy) – assumption that if an argument for some conclusion is fallacious, then the conclusion is false.[7]3. When challenged with my argument that Thai tourism might account for around 30% or higher, you again appealed to a logical fallacy, this time stating you were a professor and thus your argument is to be taken over mine, despite, yet again, offering no material support of your argument.Appeal to authority (argument from authority, argumentum ad verecundiam) – an assertion is deemed true because of the position or authority of the person asserting it.[70][71]
- Appeal to accomplishment – an assertion is deemed true or false based on the accomplishments of the proposer.[72] This may often also have elements of appeal to emotion (see below).
Not getting involved in your "debate", but he never claimed he was a Professor, merely a lecturer. In my years studying for a BSc and MSc at the London University (UCL) I had over 50 lecturers and less than 10 Professors.

Pretty strong words from someone who also has no facts but bases his interpretation on OP and the original article. Mr Maclean could have called you scum for jumping to conclusions, but he's a better man than that.

You can go visit him at the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital, give him a shoulder to cry on, a bit of therapy, and maybe pay his hospital bill... Just saying

10 minutes? I visited there about 12 years ago and went on a rickety old wooden boat and it felt like it took forever (was probably only 30 or 45 minutes). It scared me rigid, hence wanting an island as close to mainland as possible
is the 10 minute transfer a speedboat?
Try Phuket then. No boats, no ferries, just a helluva lot of tourists.
