It's a nationwide automated system, but sends the applications to your individual Immigration office for approval. An IO at your office manually approves or rejects your application.

You can use a personal income tax form and payslips from employment, but I'm nor personally aware of anyone that has used that method. Other Documents Required: Marriage certificate (Kor Ror 2). Kor Ror 2 is the registration document. You require an updated KR2 from the Amphoe each year, or if a foreign registered marriage a KR22. Marriage registration documents (Kor Ror 3). Kor Ror 3 is the marriage certificate Copies of your spouse's Thai ID card and household registration (Tabien Baan). That's assuming your wife owns the property, what if it's rented. The topic isn't about requirements for an extension. I only mentioned it in reply to a member who appears to be confused between a Non O (Thai Embassy, and the non-existent Marriage visa from Immigration.

Arrested for what exactly?
-
That quote is for the Non Imm O visa based on Thai spouse obtained from the Thai Embassy, London. The financial requirements can be from either your UK or Thai bank accounts. It's an extension of your permission of stay based on Thai spouse. Visas cannot be extended. For a 1 year extension of stay using the income method, then this financial evidence has to be from a Thai bank account by way of 12 x 40K monthly overseas transfers, OR, by way of an Embassy Income letter.

TM 30 problem with Immigration
Liquorice replied to DaRoadrunner's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You should now affix that TM30 receipt in your passport, so it's available if requested again. 11 extensions, and the TM30 receipt, has always been required as part of the submitted documentation. Pretty standard these days. -
Short term volunteering; visas and work permits
Liquorice replied to jnp73's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The company isn't at risk of being fined, held in IDC, deported, and possibly banned. Should he choose to proceed on the conditions outlined, he would be termed as working illegally. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse. -
Short term volunteering; visas and work permits
Liquorice replied to jnp73's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Paid or unpaid, he would need a Non Imm O (volunteer) visa and work permit to be legal. Q: An NGO in Thailand has invited me to go there and work for them as a volunteer for 45 days during my school break. I will not earn any money in Thailand. I am a Belgian college student in Brussels. I understand that I do not need a visa, do I? A: Although you will work as a volunteer, you do need a Non-Immigrant visa as well as the Work Permit. The NGO must be legally registered with the Thai authority, and that you need a recommendation letter from the NGO for your visa application and the Work Permit. https://www.mfa.go.th/en/publicservice/questions-answers-on-thai-visa?cate=5d5bcb4e15e39c30600068d3 -
There is no doubt. 7. Please note that the period of visa validity is different from the period of stay. Visa validity is the period during which a visa can be used to enter Thailand. In general, the validity of a visa is 3 months, but in some cases, visas may be issued to be valid for 6 months, 1 year or 3 years. The validity of a visa is granted with discretion by the Royal Thai Embassy or Royal Thai Consulate-General and is displayed on the visa sticker. 8. On the other hand, the period of stay is granted by an immigration officer upon arrival at the port of entry and in accordance with the type of visa. For example, the period of stay for a transit visa is not exceeding 30 days, for a tourist visa is not exceeding 60 days and for a non-immigrant visa is not exceeding 90 days from the arrival date. The period of stay granted by the immigration officer is displayed on the arrival stamp. Travellers who wish to stay longer than such period may apply for extension of stay at offices of the Immigration Bureau https://www.mfa.go.th/en/page/general-information?menu=5e1ff6d057b01e00a6391dc5 This is how Thai Immigration operates. You can enter on the last day of the validity of a visa, and still receive 'permission of stay' subject to the visa type.

Liquorice replied to Finlaco's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I've always done it from my PC using https://tm30.immigration.go.th/tm30api/loginExternal.jsp?value=EXT&id=3ee1ec1152c037408ee6150729c676bc First register. From the Blue book, upload a copy of the address page, then the page with the owner's name. Followed by their ID card (both sides) and the data page of your passport. -

You don't need a washing machine, but it sure makes life easier. -
Thai Elite visa is no different to any other long stay type visa, whereas the validity of the visa, and the validity of the period of stay are different. The Non O-A visa for example is valid for 1 year to enter Thailand. You can enter on the expiry date of the visa, but still be granted permission of stay for a further year. Whilst Immigration and agents alike continue to use the term 'visa' for everything, they confuse themselves. A visa permits travel to and request entry to a Thailand.. The period of stay (a permit, not a visa) is granted on entry (permitted to stay until ....) subject to the type of visa. It is this permission of stay you apply to extend . A visa cannot be extended.

Agree with Rob above. You'll first have to obtain a Non Imm O visa based on Thai spouse. I doubt Immigration would allow you to apply for that in Country as technically the procedure is for those who entered VE or on a TV, but no harm asking. https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=2506 Click on No.6 to open a PDF for the procedure. The alternative is applying at Savannahket for a single entry Non Imm O based on Thai spouse. Currently, no proof of funds required. (Or other local Thai Embassy, subject to requirements) On entry to Thailand, you'll be granted permission of stay for 90 days. Within the last 30 days of that 90 days, you can apply for the 1 year permission of stay based on Thai spouse. Requires 400K THB deposited in a Thai bank account, your sole name, for 2 months prior to submitting the application.

TM 30 Notification of Residence
Liquorice replied to Finlaco's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That is provincially written for the purpose of hotels and guest houses. For private residential properties, a copy of the Blue book, owner's ID card and a copy of your passport is sufficient. -
Pink I.D Card & Yellow Book
Liquorice replied to Bangkok Black's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Topic is the procedure to obtain a TB and ID card, not what it's useful for, but just to put your post into prospective. In the last 8 years, I've purchased 3 motorcycles, 2 vehicles, 3 driving licences, open two bank accounts and more, all with a YB and ID card. No agents - no fees! -
Short Extension of Non-O marriage visa
Liquorice replied to Eiboticus89's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
On entry, you will be granted permission of stay for 60 days. As this will be a new entry, you will also be entitled to apply for a further 60 day extension if required. -

There are 4 Thais in my household. Each one has an ID card valid for 8 years. The wife's was issued 2018, expires 2026 = 8 years. The identification card comprises basic information on the holder, including Identification number Title, given and family name; Date of birth Religion Address Date of issue Date of expiry, 8 years after issue date on cardholder's birthday [18] Photo of the card holder https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thai_identity_card -

I don't have to think anything, I know they are valid for 8 years. It's not gone unnoticed, you have a penchant for criticising or questioning in particular information posted by myself or @DrJack54 in answer to other members questions, rather than offering an answer or advice yourself in the first instance. It's akin to stalking or just being a troll.
