With Firefox you can add the IE pluggin and it works just fine. You can define which pages you want to use IE with.

Guadalajara is actually a lot of fun. Not over polluted like MC. Beautiful mountains outside. Perfect weather, not humid.
I was stationed there for 2 years in the early 90s. A lot of the people I worked with asked to be sent there for your own reasons.
You can live in an area called Zapopan. Many shopping centers, a lot of gay areas. Then you are only 2 hours away from a beautiful drive to Manzanillo. One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been. Not overly crowded. The negative is that as you drive around the place, cars will block you to sell you time shares.
And nobody gives a ###### who you are or what you do or what you look like. Unlike other places.

Actually, a lot of teachers have landed in Chile. No sé porqué, but it seems to be a nice place to be. A know of 3 from Phuket who went there this past year.
And the pay is better than Guadalajara, where the max you can earn is about 700 bucks.

I stay at the Concorde. As another poster stated. Nice hotel. And the same owner owns Hard Rock Cafe next door. Great burgers! 1 block away, as you turn left, and then left again, there are a slew of restaurants. Thai, German, Italian and some nice beer bars. 2 blocks on that same street are the Towers.

Sent you a pm.

Well.... she is 17. That is positive. As all others have posted, there is time for this to be fixed with the boys in brown.
Negative. Marriage. At 17? The Amphur will ask for house registration and possibly permission to marry from papa, ok, he gets 200k. But Embassy and Foreign Affairs documents need to be in order. They aren't.
Let's get her ducks in a row. Take her down to Bangkok NOW. Talk to an immigration attorney and have him or her go to Suan Plu and get a real answer from upstairs.
Should she leave now, not pay any fine, and re enter? Are we discussing moot points because maybe her father did do the legal thing and all papers are in order? I seriously doubt it. But questions need to be answered before she is 18.
Palli palli! (quick quick in Korean).

Keep us updated please. Interesting scenario.

Yeah. Phuket radio sucks.
Any one of the Sky FM stations are very very good.

Err, no. I will be the one buying if they start grilling.
The one by the 711 by crossover is closed today.
Alternatively, the other Chao Fa road, by the Korean restaurant / large barrel on roof, next to the Bali style house. He makes great bbq chicken. Spicy and non spicy, yellow rice.

Not that far south, but 7-11 by Saiyuan park. Coin toss on what days she is doing them. The red grill carts. Another one is opening up at the CP store across from Villa California. Installed it last week.

Depends on where you are. Phuket requires it. Other areas do not.
Some govt. schools require it (or required by Labour dept.) and others only for language schools.
Position of the moon and all that.

Leave. Work for someone who does CARE ABOUT YOU!

Most Korean kids I know and teach locally have the ED visa. In saying that, she is in a village with grandmother. Sounds like she might have overstayed? 9 years? Never left the village? Father needs to be shot.
Good luck with this.

The best thing to do, for the OP, is to go back to your own country and convert over there. Clean your house before you try to clean someone else's.
Having grown up with missionaries going around everywhere (South America), I saw what they did or attempted to do. Lets not forget the missionaries and jesuit priests treating native Amerindians with such love and respect.
Besides, if Thais convert to Christianity, they would not be funny anymore!

One of the many endearing qualities of TV is that conversations, over time, inevitably veer off course and issues switch to non Thailand related.
I would like to suggest that a new forum be created for Non Thailand related conversations. Why not? We do not live in a Thai fishbowl and it is fun to converse about other issues and not see fun threads deleted because it is not Thai related.
I can assure you that conversations about football, for example, are not Thailand related, yet it is a great forum.

When I serviced Compaqs a few years ago, the RAIDs would degrade due to the power supply degrading.
I would get amber lights everywhere and drive me nuts.
Just a suggestion.

You will have problems. Evdo cuts off every 2 or 3 minutes. Speed noted is 900k but in reality it is about 100-200k.
Depending on what part of the island you are on, the issues noted above vary widely.
And a 1mb TOT or Maxnet line will be shared with 10-20 others.

Not many parties exist where you meet the writers and their subjects, all there to meet, mingle and critique. It was a lot of fun. And I came back with a free polo shirt.
The next issue will be even better!

Some folks are not happy unless they complain.
Party was great, food was great, people were great. Beer and wine was fine. Magazine was (is) great.
Looking forward to the next one.

^^You must be an extraordinary person to look at. I don't think I have to tell you that.

The ABC the OP mentioned is ABC USA not ABC Australia.
You cannot, due to the horizon issue with the satellites.
You can also subscribe to Astro, the Malay version of UBC.

THAT will be fun. Will check it out. Where exactly was this jar? And if I find the Marmite, will post exact location for the OP.
