I seem to remember reading that number plate making was done ( in some provinces ) by in mates at the prison
dont recall seeing any evidence of them being made at the Chonburi DLT,they have always told me to come back for the new plates
( 5 times ) maybe they keep a few on hand for special V.I.Ps should the need arise.

It was also stated the majority of the fines would never be paid because drivers paid no heed to the demand notices sent out and it was difficult to chase them up
I thought they already could ( already do ) refuse to issue a new tax disc for vehicles with unpaid fines, also cant sell the vehicle with unpaid fines
if they don't already do this it should be quite simple to implement with one of those new fangled super duper database thingies !

Old plates were not removed.
That's unusual they normally make a big thing about having to turn in the old number plates at the desk before they will give out new plates.

There was no need for her to go to Rayong first could have all been done in Chonburi

A lot of the shops that where in Tukcom have moved to the Harbor Mall on Central road next to Foodland
I saw at least 2 places that specialised in networking equipment when I went there.

However, you shouldn't see a roundabout as a junction, but as a one-way main road that is curved
ok now I'm reminded of this for some reason !

As as for the other rules. Here is a little video showing them.
@Gulfsailor Thanks for that video now I know why they can't use roundabouts, because roundabout rules are totally ass backwards to what the "special rules" say ( think of the 4 way junction with a circle in the midle )

In the Pantip post user HS4CJR reaffirms that the ZTE-F660 from TOT can be bridged by yourself
he suggests that when doing the reconfiguration you must remove the fibre cable from the modem or it will reconfigure itself !!

The Hi vis reflective ( grey bits ) on my Scoyco jacket have lasted well, I got the JK28 in red to match my bike
have only washed it twice ( left out in the sun to air after use ) I don't ride 40Kms per day much less than that
its a cheap jacket made in China giving some skin protection at lower speeds
bought the show room display jacket ( the only one they had in my size ) on 28/6/14
for 2700 baht 200 baht discount

I've had ants in my computer monitor/TV, External Hard drives, fluorescent lights, light switches , main breaker/fuse box and extension leads.
When they get caught between contact breakers in switches etc and are fried they make a very effective insulation material rendering the switch almost useless, until you can take it apart and clean the contacts.
In TV'S and hard drives the results are much worse. -

@Gibbs2 what brand of battery do you use that lasts 6 years in Thailand ?

I converted my ZTE blade ( Orange Sanfransico ) to Cyanogenmod years ago so long I forgot how I did it
but must have used the sideload from SD card method as I only recently got ADB working
( I believe mine was a Gen 1 phone so could get custom recovery and root without ADB )
once you have ClockworkMod ( or TWRP) Recovery installed make a full backup and keep that backup in a safe place ( not the sd card )
then you should be able to recover from most mistakes.

His wife's blue book ( or Tabien bahn ) not to be confused with the blue book used for car registration.

So her ID copy and Blue book copy that's about it right?
( blue book might not be necessary but take copy anyway )
yes get her to sign them and state in Thai of course
"only for purpose of registering honda click reg number xxxxxxx"
over a conspicuous part of the copy
being careful not to actually obscure anything..this is to try and prevent fraudsters stealing identity, "purpose of" can be omitted if not worried
but copies need her signature.
The shop will let you know if they need to see the bike or not but I suspect they will need to see it because they normally take "rubbing's" of the chassis and engine number and need to confirm these agree with the green book.

further note updated
The drive was really slow and flaky, would not mount in windows took a long time to mount on Debian
S.M.A.R.T said it was ok but Crystaldiskinfo reported that it had 156 uncorrectable sectors...tried to write zeros to the whole disk to reset sector count but PC spontaneously rebooted after about an hour
it is a deceased drive..not resting, pining for the fjords or simply stunned..its dead R.I.P

Left towards Big C for both places
Pattaya plates already will make it easier and faster sometimes the shop will wait until they get a few to do before going to the DLT
they may also have to take the bike to DLT to check engine and chassis numbers... but they may have "special contacts" that mean they can bypass certain things I'm sure they'll let you know what's necessary.

Yes the power cuts especially the brown outs are very bad for electronics and the PI seems rather sensitive to power supply problems.
