  1. hhmm you don't want "much" for your 100 baht massage do you ??

..spare a thought for those poor girls sitting around all day ( at least 12 hours per day ) 7 days a week

bored out of their skulls..with just a bit of conversation to pass the time.

Maybe they where excitedly chattering about having such a handsome customer for a change. :)

  2. Same here.. can't get an answer on what the Carrefour " I wish" points can be exchanged for....

maybe the answer is in the name.

I wish... I could exchange these useless points for something usefull :)

  3. one of the staff had diarrhea and did not wash his hands well enough. He was working in the kitchen. Soon a lot of people got really sick, and it was a big issue. Strange that this kind of thing does not seem to happen so much here in Thailand.

Maybe it doesn't happen so much because they use the bum squirter in Thailand..no need to wipe with your hand at all just squirt in general direction for a good few seconds !!!

in my opinion much cleaner. :)

  4. They just slashed the price to under 100 baht

Now wait and see what happens when they can't sell it at 100bt...maybe they'll do what Big C did recently with a

32 inch LCD TV offer... loads went for 9,900 baht...the last one left and they put the price up to 17,000 baht :D

    Or

They had some 10 cubic foot fridges in Carrefour for 10,000 baht last week they are show items so have some scratches

didn't sell ( for a whole week gasp )...so this week price is up to 13,700 baht, that will sell em like hot cakes. :)

Its funny ( in a sad sort of way ) to walk around these stores and see the "discounted" stuff

most of it is ancient, no wonder it sits on the shelf for years on end they cut the price by such miniscule amounts

and say no refund <deleted> !!!

Ohh almost forgot.....I wouldn't buy ricotta cheese full stop :D

  5. 1 yes ok for a while, try to get a Thai licence if and when possible ( not too difficult )

    2 not sure on that.

3 best to put it in your name (if you don't trust her ) ...but easier to put it in her name

you will need to go to the Land transport office and do all sorts of silly hoop jumping to get the name changed in the green book...or you could employ a "runner" who will do it for you for a small ? extra charge.

4 you should wear a helmet the law says so and doing so could save your life.

5 check the chassis and engine number on the bike match the numbers in the green book, that the person selling is the named owner in the green book...if the current owner doesn't want to go to the transport office you will need them to

sign copies of their ID and a "receipt of sale" document ( หนังสือสัญญาซื้อ ) with 2 witness signitures.

    good luck !!! :)

  6. I went to pay mine in 7/11 they scanned the barcode for 31.57 baht ( the VAT ) I said thats not right it should be about 600 baht the girl adjusted the amount and I paid.....

When I got home I had that lingering feeling somethng was not right...

the little pink slip of paper says to go and pay the bill at your nearest TT@T office.

So back to 7/11 for a refund then off to Carrefour.

I asked them at Carrefour if this was a one off and would it be back to normal next month...

they said it would be back to normal but .....................TIT :)

  7. Today they are encasing the metal addon supports in gypsum board...not only does it look much better, almost like its part of the concrete pillar ..but I would imagine it will stop some poor sod from doing some serious damage to their noggin

whilst getting into/out of their car.

  8. Ohh bloody blimey... :)

INDIAN TOURISM EARNS PRIVILEGED STATUS FROM TAT

India, one of Thailand’s key ASEAN trading partners, was highlighted as a “rising star from the Asian market” by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) at the Thailand Travel Mart Plus 2009, Bangkok, which finished yesterday, June 8, 2009.

Indian tourists, both private and corporate, are in the fortunate position of being, as the TAT put it, ‘ready and able to travel’, with the necessary wherewithal and inclination to travel. Furthermore, the Indian public does not seem to have been influenced by the recent negative publicity about Thailand and still regards the country as a prime travel destination. Accordingly, the TAT is putting together a special incentive package to further bolster confidence, which will target both private and corporate customers.

  9. Yes sure.

the AEON ATM's are in the south Pattaya branch of Tesco/Lotus ( upstairs in the food hall near to the escalators )

There is one in Carrefour downstairs kind of opposite the entrance and a little to the left

on the way to the toilets /noticeboard but it's been out of order for a while now. :)

And according to the website there is one in Homeworks but I have not looked for this one yet.
