  1. That is my point. The extension itself does NOT reset the 90 day clock. Immigration do my annual extension AND do another 90 Day Report for me whilst I am sat in front of them. They print off my new 90 Day Next Report date and staple it in my passport. This then becomes my new report date and this is the one I use. Trust me I and my wife have done this for the last 6 years.
  2. Reporting on-line so have to do by due date. No trip to Immigration required unless the on-line system is down.
  3. I understand. I don’t ask to do a 90 Day report when I do my extension. The Immigration Officer does this automatically for me. This resets the clock for my next 90 Day report. My wife and I have both had this done by different Immigration Officers for the last 6 annual extensions. I see this as a good thing and is helpful as it pushed out the date when I next have to do my 90 Day report.
  4. So I do not have to report for another 90 days from my extension.
  5. I am in the same position. 90 Day due now, annual extension next month. Immigration do another 90 Day Reporting for me when they do my annual extension. Have done this the last 6 years. This is very helpful.
  6. Anyone aware of problems with the 90 Day Reporting on-line systems? I have tried both the Extranet and Mobile App yesterday and again today and neither are working. I have reported successfully on-line many times but can’t currently get into the system via either method.
  7. Is this interpretation and application of the O-A Extension Compulsory Health Insurance rules being or likely to be adopted by any other Immigration Offices using the dates outlined in UJ’s post link?
  8. I worked in the pensions industry in the U.K. for over 30 years. Historically, a lot of the occupational defined benefit schemes (company schemes where the pension is based on salary and length of membership) reduced the spouse’s pension if the spouse was more than 20 years younger. The reduction in spouse’s pension being directly related to the actual age difference of the spouse as this impacts on how long the spouse’s pension will potentially be paid for. As suggested, ask your pension provider for clarification and ask to see a copy of the Scheme booklet as it should be clearly stated what level of spouse’s pension is payable and what % reduction is applied for every year the spouse is more than 20 years younger than the member.
  9. Not sure. Only thing I can think is because you are over 70 years old if it will not allow your date of birth?
  10. Are you using a VPN? I was using a U.K. VPN which also blocked this. When I tried with a Thai VPN it worked fine.
  11. This previous post of mine might help ….. links to the apps are included below. I have recently completed the e-learning, got my “pass” certificate (valid for 6 months) and booked an appointment at the DLT office for renewal of my 5 year Thai Driver’s License. Appointment not yet attended. if you need help with the Thai translation during the process the Google Translate camera option, where you hover the phone camera over the Thai text on the screen is great. Sign-in Select “ID card” > fill in personal information to apply for membership > create a password to log in. The Passport Option did not work. I selected Thai ID and put in my Covid-19 13 digit ID number. The system accepted this ID number. 3. Select the transport office you want to reserve the queue for your driver's license. I put my office in English in to Google Translate to identify it in Thai on the drop down list of offices on the app. 4. Choose the type of service as "license work" - 2nd/middle option of three. 5. Select the type of work that you want to receive the service. For example, renew your driver's license for 5 years to 5 years or 2 years to 5 years. 6. 12. I have completed the e-learning on-line, got my “Pass” certificate and managed to book an appointment at the DLT office to renew my 5 year Thai Driving Licence. The Passport option does not work on the app but I just entered my Thai 13 digit Vaccination ID Number which the system accepted. I have a confirmed date and time for my appointment and a QR code. Will wait and see what happens when I turn up at the DLT office. Hopefully all will be OK unlike your experience.
  13. GPS Legal also confirm the FET form is required (Jan 2021) if you are not a permanent resident or are not validly working for a BOI company, you may have to transfer locally parked funds out of Thailand and back in again to receive a Foreign Exchange Transaction (FET) letter from the bank. https://gps-legal.com/family-individual/buying-a-condo-in-thailand/ I wouldn’t rely on what a bank says but take the advice of a Thai property lawyer. it seems the FET is still in existence and required. I was told by my lawyer without this FET form I may have problems trying to get the money out of Thailand if I sold my condo and wanted to repatriate my funds. I have FET forms so not a problem for me.
  14. That is very interesting. This article was published last month. The FETF is apparently is still a requirement. https://freshbangkok.com/foreign-exchange-transaction-form-thailand-real-estate/
  15. If you are purchasing a condo as a foreigner in your own name you have to transfer the funds in to Thailand in foreign currency. The currency conversion is done by the Thai receiving bank not by Nationwide (in my case). if you use Wise and get them to do the currency conversion you might save £10 but you will presumably be transferring Thai Baht into Thailand which breaches the rules. My Thai lawyer avoided me doing exactly that when I purchased my condo. I wanted to use Wise for the transfer! By all means use Wise (I have been a customer for many years and use them for all of my other transfers) and save your £10. But I would rather pay £10 more , transfer the funds in to Thailand in foreign currency. and get the FETF and know I will be able to transfer my money out of Thailand if and when the time comes.
  16. Any foreigner planning to purchase a property in Thailand must follow the correct procedures for Transferring Money into Thailand. If the proper steps are not taken it may prove impossible to repatriate the money when it comes time to sell the property and/or leave Thailand. If more than US$ 50,000 is being remitted for the purchase of a condominium, a Foreign Exchange Transaction Form (FETF) must be requested from the receiving bank. The Condominium Act states that any non-resident of Thailand who wishes to buy a condominium, must transfer the requisite funds from overseas specifically for that purpose. Regardless of the buyer’s country of origin, the funds must be sent in a foreign currency, to be converted into Thai Baht (THB) by the receiving bank upon arrival in Thailand. In order to register the condominium with the Land Department, the FETF documentation must be presented to prove that the full purchase price was transferred into the Kingdom from abroad. (The instruction on the bank transaction form should also state that the payment is for the sole purpose of purchasing a condominium.).
  17. The video has English subtitles. As you say you need a medical certificate. ALL driving licence applications snd renewals need this now. This is a relatively new requirement. You also need a Proof of Residence Certificate from Immigration/Embassy unless you have e.g. a Yellow book etc. At the DLT office I understand you have to do colour blindness, depth perception and reaction test. I have done these tests for my original license and each subsequent renewal.

  19. Yes. THG will allocate the vaccines from each batch they receive. I registered on 2nd day so should be in first batch they receive. I suspect my dose will go to somebody else registered and I will get a dose from the next batch they receive December/January. They had a comprehensive questionnaire sent to everybody who registered and from that can allocate doses based on batch delivery. THG seem to be on top of things. it could be I can only have one of my reserved shots for reason you state. Will have to wait and see. I think there are many people in my situation who registered with THG but have subsequently had vaccinations.
  20. I had Sinovac plus AstraZeneca in Chiang Mai last month. I paid a deposit for 2 x Moderna via THG at Lanna Hospital, Chiang Mai back in early July as things were very uncertain regarding vaccinations back then (I am under 60 years old and in good health). THG contacted me last week asking me if I want 1 or 2 of my vaccines or none (they are transferable). They gave a list of vaccinations/combinations and how long you have to wait before the Moderna booster. For Sinovac plus AstraZeneca you have to wait for 3 months (think it must given between 3 and 6 months). I intend to get the Moderna booster in December 2021/January 2022 as it is mRNA which Sinovac and AstraZeneca are not. Quite a cocktail(!) but I think this will give greater protection. I am encouraged by the U.K. using Moderna (and Pfizer) commencing 3rd jabs/boosters in the U.K. yesterday where AstraZeneca has been used as the main vaccine across the 50 million adults vaccinated. I also intend to keep the 2nd Moderna shot as a further booster. This will hopefully help with International travel as Sinovac plus AstraZeneca are not recognised. By that time hopefully other countries e.g. U.K. will recognise my suite of vaccinations as valid.
  21. Swimming pool is open at my condo in Chiang Mai. It is only used by a few people. I swim every day and usually I am the only person in the pool.
  22. Makro. ฿33 for a big French stick. Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle. Excellent!
