No such issue and mine runs 24 hours a day - replace at six months - use the more expensive filter with charcoal odor type rather than just HEPA that it came with.
I guess my problem was due to unit being off for 3 days while we were away from home.
Since posting I have held the filter in front of a desk fan blowing onto the clean side of the filter, smell has all but cleared after 5 minutes.
Can you provide details of your new filters please, currently I have adequate air flow.
Thanks

At 80 years + and having played around with Mint for 3 months, decided the learning curve is beyond my enthusiasm,so ditched Mint and installed Win 11 on a non compliant Dell desktop, I like it so far,no dramas.

Where?
Very unsual.
Do you send by EMS? (if so, has it been received)
In the past I did postal mail and send by EMS and insert a return envelope also franked for EMS.
As far as I know you can get a sticker (not stamps) for the return envelope at the post office.
I used the EMS sticker for my return postage maybe 18 months ago,it arrived with additional stamps provided by CW with a note asking me "to put the stamps on the outside nextime"?????

Ive noticed that in the Bangkok Bank Android app , there's an option to send money abroad. Ive not yet tried that option ( just in case I get it wrong ) Now I'm Just wondering if any one here also has the Bangkok Bank app on their mobile phone and has used the '' send money abroad '' option from their mobile phone.
Also on the internet web page for Bangkok Bank , which I can log into , to see my Bangkok Bank savings account , there does not seen an option to send money abroad.

You will need to change router APN settings I would think.
Being a Chinese router CMNET for Apn is worth a try

Has any member experience of them and can advise me further?
Just my opinion,I think Toyota have got it right promoting hybrids as the best option for future purchases.

I don't use my Australian debit cards in Thailand, they are for emergency use only. I use a Thai bank debit card instead.
I used the Australian card to keep it from expiring due to lack of transactions.
Unfortunately I forgot about this so I no longer have an active Australian card due to lack of useage.
To start again must provide AU postal address.
-
The one time I used my Australian debit card at a Big C checkout,my account was immediately hit with 2 debits from Walmart.
Only a couple of bucks each, bank reversed charges, all good

For what it's worth. For 20 years of doing business with Immigration in Bangkok,I have used the western mode for my address,
street number,name of road,district,province,zip code.
Some 5 years ago my online TM47 was rejected, reason TM30 required.
Home owner submitted the report it was accepted but it was in Thai language.
Since then all my TM47 reports have not changed from western style and have been accepted.
I only came to grief when applying for a certificate of residence,I had to call the owner for the Thai language address details they provided for the TM30

Wow! ??? Unlimited data essential! Does she even have time to look at you? Out of interest what's the speed? Does it drop if a daily, weekly or monthly data limit is hit?
No change unlimited data.
Max 35mbps, sometimes 15mbps,down to 4mbps at peak times.
I have a poor signal in my area but I can stream live tv and movies.

Streaming is working fine for us.
Except that England seem to be determined to lose the cricket to India, again.
I did notice that DNS at 1.1.1.1 be being blocked for a while, not sure why but changing to 8.8.8.8 fixed those problems.
I minimize my Google exposure wherever possible see my DNS settings below.

Please, some details like speed etc. Bht990 pa is better than Bht 749 per month with 3BB.
I am not in central Bangkok, the signal here is weak but can still stream movies.
Download best 35mbps, peak times 4 Mbps and have had one outage in 7 months NT Thunder unlimited sim.
The sim has some limitations, users say condo level 5 can be a hight limit, connecting to channel 40 could be an issue,I cannot use it in my Vivo phone because of this reason, but it works in my router and my Huawei phone.
Recommend you buy a 200thb version sim to ensure it performs in your home.

555 hopefully you are not taking the p*$$
Using a phone as a hotspot in your condo instead of getting wifi installed.
Seems to be popular for some.
But i probably have more pressing needs than the retired gents.
And what do you use for data away from home?
For data "on my prepaid sim for calls "would run at 699thb per month.
So why not have a 2000thb pa second sim for data.
I had fibre to the router for several years and had too many outages,so I ditched that method for a second data sim in each of my family members phones.
Problem solved we all have unlimited data wherever we go.
For home appliances I have a router with an NT 990thb pa unlimited sim.
Not very complicated for a retired gent with a wife who chews through 80gbs per month.
My total annual costs are still below fixed line fibre without it's limitations

I don't have a smart TV but I can connect my computer to my TV via HDMI and have access to Wi-Fi!
I will give that option a look at but it is not my number one solution as I would prefer to keep the computer out of the loop but as a last resort it could solve the problem.
Thanks!
Last resort load AIS PLAY on your computer follow previous information.
You can have CH 7 today.
If you are comfortable with this format you could buy a simple Android box, install AISPlay from Play station, connect to your network with wifi.
For ease of use you can attach a wireless mouse or wireless keyboard.
There are other apps that you can load to watch movies

Do you have a smart tv?
If so you can download AIS Play app from Play store this will give all Thai free to air channels when you choose TV Live from the drop down menu.
Of course you will need internet access

Yes this seems to be right I just found a little more info for Our Aussies.
Are Australian pensions taxed?
Tax on the Age Pension
There is no tax payable on withdrawals you make from super, whether it is regular retirement income payments or lump sums, provided you are aged 60 or over. However, what about Age Pension payments? Age Pension payments are generally tax free, provided they are your only source of income.Sorry wishful thinking.
As an aged pensioner your payments are not taxed in AUSTRALIA,but when you REMIT them to a Thai bank account then as a Thai tax resident they are tax assessable income.

But: For Australian Old age Pensioners the payments are not subject to tax (but if the person has other income then the situation changes).
So for Aussie OAP recipients with no other income residing permanently in Thailand does the 'not subject to tax' mean that tax has been considered by the Aussie system and not taxable, therefore the 'not subject to tax' flows through to the Thai tax scenario?
No . Your Aged pension funds remitted to Thailand will be taxed here if you are a Thai tax resident.
The first 150,000 thb (190,000 if you aged 65+) is tax exempt.
Then 150,000 (+65 year 110,000)@ 5%
Then 200,000@ 10%
Then 200,000@15%
Then @20%.
There could well be challenges to this arrangement, because a lot of Hiso will be out of pocket big time,as well as activists and academics pointing to individuals financial plans having been shredded, etc.

This means that every citizen in Thailand who resides more than 180 days is entitled to a tax deduction of 190,000 + 60,000 THB if he is legally married yet another deduction of 60,000 THB and so on if he has other minor children dependent on each 60,000 THB.
Thanks for that information

People need to know that if they are over 65 they have the 160,000 and an extra 190,000 allowance for over 65.
19 hours ago, BE88 said:The Thai representative said that 190,000 + 60,000 = 250,000 THB are exempt so I can understand that if you are below this figure you do not have to make an income declaration as for all Thais.
But he also said that the application for extension must be complete with the tax declaration.
So the aim is also to scare expats into paying taxes.
I missed picking up on the +60,000 deduction, can you please clarify what this entailed.
Thanks

Thanks for the link, I also have my unit facing a wall directing air flow into the room, makes sense to me.
I was surprised when I first cleaned the pre filter the amount of black "soot" that washed off.
