    What I find confusing:

nowhere can I find a clear statement that the volume (GB) is a MONTHLY limit.

    Did you find?

Of course it would be a joke to pay 1399 Baht for 200 GB per year.

But why can't they use clear wording?

Still uncertain BUT it seems like the volume initially bought is indeed the total volume and if its used up you have to refill a package?

    If so, no thanks.

    Spoiler.

I now believe the data allowance is for the tenure of the package.Screenshot_20231221_202245.thumb.jpg.164e6100d84f1c670bcfd38023620eb7.jpg

If your happy with 30mbps, then why change? I too am happy with my 30mbps dtac unlimited sim. Currently about 2100bt per year. This month I've used about 250GB so far this month. Does everything I need it to do including streaming.

DTAC not so good in my area, currently 4/4 on my tv box. Current phone is1 year sim AIS unlimited but latest offerings, apart from Gomo , have data limits that are unsuitable and double the price of my current sim.

    Found Gomo while searching Lazada.

Let's not talk about this any longer. I think most of us on this forum prefer to not use agents and prefer to not participate in graft if it is at all avoidable. In short I will not go back to CW with the same paper work and offer a bribe to the officer.

I have not used and agent for 10 years of business with Immigration. I will not start now and will not participate in corruption unless absolutely necessary and some kind of desperate last resort.

Some years ago I was offered "a package" at CW.

The sales pitch for this xK baht package was that is cheaper than starting again.

    I chose to start again.

Was the officer a male officer? What desk did you visit? What number L desk was it?

I have made appointments for the last several years, the Io's in L32 are very helpful, last year I had all my docs but the doc checker gal pulled two copies as not needed,on getting to L32 the io printed off copies of the not needed docs without question or comment.

Being from Oz I cannot provide income letter from embassy.

Currently I am using funds in bank method.

At the same time am doing monthly transfers and hoping to change to income as I will be able to show 12 months of transfers when my next extension is due.

The difficulty I cannot show funds come from "pension"

AU is very different to UK and USA

At CW I have been asked one time if I had a pension when applying for retirement extension using income method. My reply was YES, end of conversation.

Can't recall if it was the time I changed from money in bank to income method.

I had not been receiving top-up SMS from AIS which was no big deal,as I was getting SMS from banks etc.

Don't know if it's coincidence or not but having visited AIS shop where they gave me a new Sim card now I am only receiving banner notifications but no messages in Message app.

    Still nothing from AIS.

I have deleted and reinstalled message app, used different message apps, reset networking and default apps.

I have used a different sim card with same result.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

    Update

AIS put the new sim in my TGF phone for testing purposes.

    They left it there,,so my TGF had 2 x 1 2 call sims and I had 2 x data sims......very professional!!

Today got sim cards sorted and now get error message sim card is full delete old messages.

I search my phone I have 6 messages,I search some more and find both sim cards are configured, have now

deconfigured second sim and added my 1 2call number to sim 1.

    Sounds good hope it's sorted

That's a positive change if transactions with an international indication can happen instantaneously.  Let's see of it's an across the board change or if this was an anomaly.

My Australian bank have picked up their game now having instant payouts instead of pre 9am,pay same day and post 5pm, pay next day cutoff times.

My Wise transfers to Kbank have never been more than a couple of minutes but mostly completed while I am advising Wise that I have sent the money.

  9. Documents I provided for monthly income method at CW.

    TM 7 with photo.

    Copies of 4 passport pages;

Id , non imm o visa , arrival stamp and latest extension stamp.

    Hand drawn map.

    Copies of TM47 and TM30.

Bank letter, 12 month statement , copy of bankbook pages showing all relevant transactions including required update.

As I use Kasikorn bank for my monthly deposits via Wise I provide Kasikorn credit advice receipts that are emailed to me which show the funds are from abroad.

That is exactly what I'm currently doing.

I obtained my most recent extension (Oct 2023) and will follow "money in bank" rules till my next extension (Oct 2024).

At the same time have started monthly transfers (65k+)

For next extension will show 12 months of transfers.

Being Oz, no income letter available.

Back to the OP, don't think he understands the income method requirements also not clear what the agent actually did on his behalf.

Was it just hand holding or did agent cover the financial requirements.

I changed from deposit to income back in 2019 no problem at CW
