So wait....the actual value of the bag is almost 350,000 baht and she had no qualms about paying 70K baht to bring it in ? As crazy as it seems....even crazier to own a 350,000 baht bag- 84 replies

I don't know about this...there are always going to be some in any society that don't conform...I was in Central Westgate yesterday and they had lines snaking across 3 floors for vaccinations...the most I have ever seen queuing up....I think people are definitely willing except for a small minority that exists everywhere...it's just that Thailand is used to seeing 99.99 % conformist behavior among it's befuddled populace controlled thru religion and 'other' institutions. Maybe it's a good sign that Thai people are showing the same kind of independence and challenge to authority that is the hallmark of all true democracies.

question about law for rental payment

paying in cash your first mistake, Bank transfer is the only way to go....your bank transaction log is your receipt -
Because in 2 years they have increased the insurance requirements for not only original Visa applications but also for all in-country extensions whilst leaving O visa retirement holders alone. They seem to believe (erroneously) that OA visa holders are somehow responsible for all the trouble foreigners cause with unpaid bills and present a greater risk than any other visa class. In may serve as a warning that when money in the bank requirements are also increased, they will also hit OA visa holders (or originators) first and perhaps again leaving O visa holders unscathed.

No...it is .5% on 6000000 that's 30,000 baht Some countries (USA for example) tax lottery winnings...so if you cash the ticket...you get stiffed by home country tax. But Thai lottery not considered income and no such tax.

I have read that boosters are indeed being planned for. For 2 SinoVac jabs a 3rd booster of AZ already being distributed. For 2 AZ shots the plan is 6 months after 2nd shot to schedule booster...not sure what brand will be used.

Yes...taxis from that location really should not be an issue, especially because you have major hotels all around you there.

Perhaps if your bike made less annoying (and pointless) noise, they would treat you better ?
