  1. Krabi has got a very high muslim population, they didn't even sell beer at the shop next door to my hotel because they were devout muslim, not so many places where you can pop for a beer because mainly restaurants although there is a great beach but I found Krabi very expensive.

Hua hin has a terrible beach so you have to travel about 15 minutes down the road where there is a better beach, lots of bars and restaurants and a lot of people of the older generation.

Phuket is probably your best option imo, try kata beach about 15 minutes drive from patong, very beautiful, lots of bars places to eat and things to do in Phuket

  2. Unbelievable! Are farang men really that nieve? Stop thinking with your meat and two veg and think with brain for once. I'm 44 and I don't believe for one second that a young dolly bird would be interested in me for me, she's interested in my money and nothing else, of course there are exceptions but you've got to be pretty lucky to drop on to one of those ladies especially in Thailand, take it for what it is at the time, a young woman bouncing up and down making you feel amazing for 2 minutes but that's it! No more no less!

  3. Reading the full story on this maggot they mention he may head over to Ibiza in Spain where he knows people. My wife and I har heading for Spain in April to a town called Devia at fishing port with the ferries going to and from the Baleric Islands, Ibiza, Minorca and Myorca we will stay there 4 weeks so will keep an eye out for him, will not forget that face.

Confront him at your own peril, he is an enforcer in Ibiza and well known! Also he is extremely volatile and handy (to say the least)

An enforcer for what - drug dealers, extortionists, bar bouncer?

Does he have a criminal record in UK and / or Spain?

an enforcer for any requirements as long as the price is right, surely your not that nieve?

  4. 711s in Bangkok know nothing about the Registration!

I've been into 7-11's in pattaya and ubon and they say they know nothing about it, also my girlfriend works for cp company (who own 7-11) as a programmer and she doesn't know anything about it.

  5. i look forward to the days that ISIS or whomever, will invade Saudi and kill all those rich pricks whom get all the riches of the oil for themselves

All the rich pricks are the ones that are funding most of the new mosques/muslim extremists/training camps etc, they all want sharia law implemented across the world just like they have in saudi and unfortunately they have endless funds to accomplish their goals.

And the POPE is the King of the Philippines and all of Mexico, Central and South America + plus Europe and north America. Give us a break!wai.gif
open your eyes and don't be so niaive.

I presume you think it's ok to behead people, stone women to death, hang and kill people all done to uphold sharia law!

Unfortunately it's people like yourself along with many others in this world who have got their heads buried in the sand and don't want to face up to what is happening right now in the world.

  7. A valium and alcohol will have virtually zero additional effect, like an extra drink or two.

Technically it's possible that it can kill you but I believe you would need to consume a huge amount of both alcohol and valium for this to happen. It wouldn't happen by accident.

Certain painkillers which won't generally be available in Thailand are something different entirely, a few of them with a night of drinking can send you directly to the morgue just like all those hollywood types who occasionally die. They often take valium too but it's the opiate based medications that do the damage.

But everyones body acts differently to different things, just because one person can endure a certain drug/alcohol doesn't mean another person has the same tolerance

  8. Sounds like your ride was rented out.........sad.png

But this shit is normal. You are right to kick up a fuss so perhaps they will not take the piss in the future.....thumbsup.gif

oh they'll definitely repeat their actions again if they get the chance, I've come to realise thais aren't the cleverest bunch, in one ear out the other.

  9. I'm with Murdoch on this one.

Both his tweets were right on the ball.

100% right, while all Muslim's will proclaim to be peaceful they will at the same time condone what happened in France and any other terrorist actions that has killed none believers or someone who has insulted their oh so precious god.

Unfortunately it's people like Rowling, who have got their head in the sand, that the problem isn't being addressed properly, its growing and growing and growing.

  10. Will Thailand never learn. Farming out testing to private schools will mean a huge success and lots of backhanders to testers.!!! Lots of crap drivers coming on the road.

Errrrrr hello, your using future tense!!!!!!! "Lots of crap drivers COMING to the road" they're already here and have been for a long time, no road sense and no driving skills!

  11. Time to close the borders!!

Who has entered already can stay if integrating!! If not, a one-way ticket to Mecca!!

This is the whole point, islam is a way of life not a religion, they don't want to integrate, it's their way or the highway.

According to history muslims have tried to conquer the world twice before, 7th century and 11th century but have failed both times. For me personally Allah, is exactly the same as Hitler, they both had the same goal, to rule the world, only time will tell if his wishes come true.

  12. Making excuses for irresponsible road behaviour! Where they are in the social scale is not important If they are driving too fast, influenced by alcohol or not wearing a helmet.

Great post and I think many would agree with you. New years eve and I see young thai men riding their motorbikes very fast up and down the main road and wearing no helmets, the majority of thai people don't have road sense at the best of times but throw in a new year's celebration with a bit of alcohol and there are bound to be problems but I will say it's not just thai people, farangs, korean (the Koreans are nearly as bad as thais), chinese, Japanese. .....the list is endless, people hire a moped, don't know how to ride and have no confidence.

  13. It's gone viral on FB in Thailand. Apparently the Falung has been in Thailand for 10 years and is a teacher.

His wife is filing charges against the monk.

After 10 years the guy should know a bit of thai.

    for next time:

"Kar-tot na crap, hai nang dai mai crap"

    not hard. What an oaf

I find your 'what an oaf' remark quite disrespectful to that chap, he did extremely well keeping his cool, maybe he panicked a little bit and was overwhelmed by the situation.

On a different day the monk might have picked on a different person and got more than he bargained for.

I personally could of accepted one slap but once the second one came I think I would have acted differently to the chap in the video.

  14. I recently purchased a thai style portable electric cooker, the main reason is I wanted a better diet, I regularly go to the gym so wanted to a high protein intake, so I've started cooking my own food, scrambled eggs for breakfast, chicken baguette for lunch and chicken with broccoli for evening meal (obviously vary it daily), it's

costing me a very small amount to live like this and I've

    got a very healthy diet.

The first time I arrived in bkk I saw a lot of older guys, by which I mean 70+, with quite young women, around the early 20s mark, I thought it was quite disgusting at the time but since I've gotten older(im 43), and realised life is very short my view has completely changed, I take my hat off to the old boys for sharing the company of a young woman, obviously no love involved but if it suits both party's 2 fingers up to the world, your along time dead

You say obviously no love involved. Could you please explain what love means and do it in 500.000 words or less. Thank you. clap2.gif I will enjoy living well but not sit around waiting for your assignment to be completed.coffee1.gif

Love is what you want it to be!!!!!!!!

Strange request but I guess it takes all sorts

  17. The rise of abuse against women is not confined to Thailand , this is another one of the worlds anti social trends that we can do without , lots of theories have been bandied about , mine, too much alcohol and drugs.bah.gif

My theory, gets them a better deal in a divorce, so why not accuse him.

No real evidence anywhere in the world that violence towards women is on the rise.

And in Thailand, plenty of violence towards men, but nobody cares about what happens to men.

Time for campaigns to aim at reducing violence towards anyone.

great post and I completely agree, it seems acceptable to physically abuse a man. Me and my thai gf were sitting on beach road in pattaya people watching and saw a thai couple arguing, she slapped him around the face which my gf thought was ok and I said would it be ok if he hit her which she replied no because she is lady, I then said if she wants to act like a man she must expect to be treated like a man! A very big discussion followed

Wow. There's so much wrong with this, I don't know where to start!

    tumblr_mlzxfnHs8z1r8t4b8o1_500.png

If you think hitting your spouse/significant other is "acting like a man," then you're reinforcing toxic masculinity. And that's exactly the problem to begin with! Of course it's unacceptable for either partner to assault the other, but the very fact you phrased it as you did demonstrates how deep the issue runs, and why ultimately it is our violent understanding of masculinities (plural, btw, because of sociocultural contexts) which needs to be addressed.

I definitely do not think it's ok to hit a woman, women are 'in theory' supposed to be feminine which in my opinion does not include raising your hand...to anyone but it seems that the majority of women think it's ok for a woman to hit a man but when a man hits a woman all he'll breaks lose and he should be hung.......double standards, if you want equal rights fine but make it equal and not just when it suits!
