Pot calling the kettle black springs to mind , but as This is Thailand , nothing surprises me anymore, just a little sad that a wonderful people get let down daily by the Authorities and they accept it..!!

Now wwe all klnow why the fines for drivers need to be increased, to allow officers who lost money to recoup their losses ….!!

How can you dispute the evidence . What evidence , High and Low tide, theya re as usual refusing to allow contact with the UK Policce who as far as I can gather have a full statement and the clothing with DNA. At no time will the RTP pursure this any further they have already made up their minds and are unwilling to accuse a THAI, I am sure if they wanted to they could find another foreign national to be accused though !!

Now, now , you are being unkind to the Village idiots, the one in my village, might very well be an idiot but he picks up all the garbage and keeps it clean. 

I have said it before and will say it again, to change laws to make it better forf ALL , then sadly the current mind-set of the local population has to also change, ne that a lowly worker to a hi-so executive. Nothing at all will change or make the slightestm difference until Thai Culture and mentality move into the 21st century. Laws are broken each and every day with apparent impunity from No licence to scamming billions from the needy. 

Just abide by the law and you can sail through all of this, however that concept is lost on Thais !!

Teaching them the Rules and how to past the Theory and practical tests is fine. Why not teach them how to drive !! The practical test is a JOKE !!

When I came here, I was informed that THAIS generally, will find ways of circumnavigating all laws, and to be honest that is TRUE 100%. Until that ATTITUDE changes, no amount of LAWS will change the system, the corruption or even the outcome. 

They ( The NCPO ) need to understand Thais lie and refuse to follow any law they do not like, plus that the Police are seen as  CORRUPT  from the top down. Forgetting they ( The Police ) are there to PROTECT the public not steal from them !!

The fact that some idiot has called all foreigners driving around with their drivers window down, shows a complete lack of driving skills , possibly obtained in the Middle East.

Drivers if taught correctly and it is NOT raining are advised by the Advanced Driver trainers, to lower the window down in built up areas, as they can then hear better , as well as reminding them that they are normally in a an area with many people. having ther Air con on or / and radio can and does drown out many external noises which could warn you of dangers.

Here I appreciate that in the HOT season , often it is seen as being silly but to each their own. before people tell others off for doing what they think is dangerous, they should operate their little grey cells and think . DSoimething here I do not expect from many locals but most Foreigners ( especially from Europe ) do actually know how to drive !!  

An idea, if they had 24 hr courts for traffic offences, the drivers could be immediately taken to court, fined and disqualified. garages would be called to pick up the vehicles and the driver left outside the court, with no transport. 

Now that would work ……...however it is still down to the Copper on the Roadside being scrupulously honest...………….Never in my experience here. owever it will heighten the  Police desire to make it corrupt as they see a cash cow being taken away , if the COURTS have the say on the fine . 

How many people can you get in a telephone box, probably still room after Thailands skilled turn up !!

What Thailand needs to do is to gets its head out of its posterior, look for and HIRE Water experts from anywhere in the world and do what they suggest. In the Thai Government there is NOT ONE logical thinking official regarding water .!!

Name and shame, does the job !!

Many expats did it years ago, no difference Expat / tourist,  brains left in left luggage at their departure Airport. 

Just how much is acceptable to offer the Police to NOT submit the paperwork , hence no court case. Unless there was always a pair of officers who will also to be photographed ( currently they hate in car cameras filming them )  handing out the fine, then it is just another way of stating PUBLICALLY that the Courts will process the paperwork submitted . 

NO paperwork, no court case. Mr Plod becoming wealthy ….period !!

Admission of any wrongdoing will never happen. To much FACE to lose. perhaps it is time for the Big Man ( PM ) to interfere and demand honesty and truth ! ( doubtful; if that would make any difference though, they will be Honestly LYING ). 

One question springs to mind, I wonder if the Thai ladies would life it if they also had to prove they were single with no other wives etc hidden in the background, would they all want to then marry. 

Surely the one thing that lets many of these relationships fall down is the lack of HONESTY, ,more so from the Thai partner.

You reckon there is a Court hearing ……….um !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That will certainly screw up the education system , aqs far as I know only about 50% can actually teach !! The other 50 % tell the kids to copy the book.
