i have been meaning to get a thai drivers licence for years after owning cars and bikes here i just havent got round to it, so now i want to get off my ass and get one, i have with me my international EU licence ( plastic part only ) is that sufficient ? where do i go to apply ? i am now in pattaya. what is the cost and the procedure ? i am not on any long term visa at the moment. i am married to thai national.

thanks guys, never went to udon yesterday but thats great info incase i decide to head up there next week, i used to get vip bus all the time though whats the point when you can fly in 1 hour and not really expensive either.

im stuck for time here and i have tried to book an air asia flight from bkk to udon tomoorrow but i do not have my companions passport details.
anyway besides that, can someone please let me know which airlines go to either udon or sakon nakon from bkk airport tomorrow afternoon. i arrive into suwamaphumi at 9.40 am in morning.
can i get a flight from bkk , or do i need to go to don muang airport and book/ fly from there and with who. who is cheapest, i dont care for expensive domestic flights as its only about an hour so no meals or anything like that.
i will check this thread from time to time today for any advice.

Yes i know what thailand is like but i had thai friends tell me that isasn was very bad and also pattaya was flooded. Thats why i wanted to avoid those areas and head to hau hin or somewhere.

i was going to do about 1 week in koh samui but have been told its raining bad there also.
if it really is that bad i may change my ticket.

i know a guy , he has been in in thailand many years now, he has no work permit, he has some income though not much, he states that he pays 17k per year to so and so for a visa .
is he full of bs or what ? this guy is not the only one i have heard many stories that visa can be bought .
though too good and tempting to go this route i myself would rather take up the ED visa , mainly because i want to really learn the language proper once and for all after 13 years, plus i want to attend school 4 days per week to give me an interest in something . plus in the end i would love to do a TEFLA or a CELTA .

i will arrive bkk on 23rd april, need to go to sakon nakon . can anyone give me advice on where to get mini bus ? or is it a better option to get a cheap domestic flight and which is cheapest airline ?

i applaud the cops actions. though after watching the 2 video,s i cannot hear him shouting he is going to throw the child or i cannot see him attempt to throw the child or even bring the child to edge of balcony, yes he seems to lift the child up higher but i think that was to stop child falling down , maybe maybe not.
one thing is for sure though, this deranged dick head should not have behaving like that with his children, kids should be taken off him now, and if he is truly guilty of going to throw the child off balcony he should be treated with the full force of the law .
some good audio evidence is needed , this story will be interested as it pans out. lets see.

a few questions as i dont want to start different threads.
1. where is the yellow bus station located in pattaya, i went to look in sukumvit yesterday but could not find it.
2. is yellow bus better to get than bell bus .
3. where can i get a direct bus from pattaya to bkk ( this is incase i decide to fly down to samui )
4. where can i get a mini bus from pattaya to hau hin, there used to be a mini bus sales counter across road from tukcom but its now gone. taxi driver told me yesterday to go to pattaya thai but i went up and down south pattaya road and could not find it.
im undecided where to go but am sure to leave pattaya soon .
